As a kid, I went to the predecessor to this practice, and after it changed hands I followed it from…read moreNiddrie Square to its current home on Govan Road, between Ibrox and Cessnock. As an adult, I usually get my check-ups at an NHS dentist, but I keep coming back here for the more detailed cosmetic work that I need to get done from time-to-time. Dr Lang is the only one I trust to fix my front tooth, which chipped when I was a teenager and is healthy enough not to replace with a crown or veneer, but which still wears down over time. I've had him fix this with white filling on 3 occasions now, and each time he's also had a new retainer made for me so that my teeth will stay in place. He's always super professional and friendly, and he does a fantastic job. He's very meticulous about his work and I always feel comfortable there. Each time I've been happy with the results. His assistant, Leslie, worked for my previous dentist, so she's been there since I can remember, and is also very precise and always lovely to chat with. The location itself is in the Watermark Business Park, and is always incredibly clean and it's a pleasant, light space. Recommended.

Aye okay I get it - I need to floss more!!!! Located in the basement of a west end town house just off Charring Cross, the decor is perfectly lovely. There are lots of comfy sofas and heaps of up to date great magazines like Vogue & Tattler in the waiting room - you know just to fool you into thinking you are in for a treat! My dentist (willie) is so nice and always eager to talk to me about food and recommending places for me to go eat. He never keeps me waiting more than a couple of minutes and explains everything in straight forward terms. My hygienist I hate....not because she is anything less than pleasant and helpful but because she inflicts 30 minutes of torture on me every 3 months. To be fair that is less to do with her and more to do with my terrible flossing. :-) Great dentist, great service and not outrageously expensive.

Although I'm not a fan of dentists this practice is very good and thorough. Everything is explained beforehand and my dentist is helpful and polite throughout. It is set at basement level just off Charing Cross so has good access. The receptionists are also friendly and they send you dental appointment via text message which I think is really handy. Price wise I think they are good value for treatment but I did think the scale and polish (approx £28 in June 08) was quite expensive.

They are great group of people and they have added to the practice to make your life easier. One of the most anxious things about moving to a new area is going to a new dentist for the first…read moretime, especially as, like me (and my husband) you had after enduring some pretty poor ones in the past had time to get used to a good one in our last location. It took me several months to finally decide that this practice was probably the best one, going by the various dental websites for the area. A tentative initial phone call, to ask if they were accepting new NHS patients, went extremely well and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. This resulted in my husband and I making an appointment and going along to have a check up a couple of days ago. The first impression of the place was good; the waiting area is large and comfortable, nicely carpeted with pleasant soft seating and attractive pictures on the walls. We were both more than delighted to find we were registered with Anthony Bannon as he could not have been nicer what a friendly, gentle and thoroughly professional dentist. He put us both entirely at our ease and (when our mouths weren't wide open!) we had a good chat, not only about our teeth but about our move to Kilmarnock too. While I was waiting for my husband on the landing, I saw a couple of the other dentists welcoming their patients, which included young school children, and they were also very warm and welcoming. It's probably obvious by now that we were extremely pleased with our choice of dentist and, even after only one appointment, I would not hesitate to recommend this dental practice to anyone.

You have to book appointments very far in advance as it is so busy. There are 2 dental rooms there. Treatments are available on the NHS or privately. They offer all sorts of treatments for example: fillings, root canal treatment, caps, veneers, tooth whitening, false teeth and polishing teeth. The dentist I use is very good and puts you at ease whilst you are there. It is expensive to have treatments done, but I choose to have private work instead of NHS. It is worth it.
