WARNING: AVOID THIS KENNEL
Sadly my Wife hadnt read all the Horror Stories from other dog owners, otherwise our Dog wouldnt have spent even an hour in their Stay.
We recently left our Cane Corso, Vader, at Windmill Farm for his first-ever kennel stay, and it was an absolute nightmare. Vader has always been well-trained and never had issues with toilet habits, so we were shocked by his condition when we picked him up after 2.5 weeks.
Instead of coming back energized and toned like our dogs have after stays at other kennels, Vader was subdued, nervous, and in terrible shape. The first thing that hit us was the rancid smell of ingrained urine--he reeked as if he had been lying in his own waste for days. His bed, which was clean when we dropped him off, was soaked in dried, stale urine. This is a dog who has never had an accident on his bed, even when we've been delayed for hours.
It's clear that Vader was forced to relieve himself on his bed due to a lack of proper space. The fact that it took three thorough baths to get rid of the stench only shows the horrendous conditions he was kept in.
We are disgusted by the lack of care and basic decency shown towards our beloved pet. This kennel's treatment of Vader was disgraceful, and we have reported them to the RSPCA.
If you love and cherish your pet, avoid Windmill Farm Kennels at all costs. read more
