On September 27, I received an email stating that Ridgeview had "overbooked" and needed my spot, asking me to leave. As a monthly tenant, they cannot legally make me leave just because they overbooked. After speaking with other guests, I learned that we are all being charged different rates for the exact same type of site ("deluxe pull through"). I also discovered major discrepancies in electricity billing--my bill was nearly $250 a month, despite only running our AC, while my neighbors (who use more electricity) paid only $100-150. When I emailed about these inaccurate readings and unfair billing, I was pulled into the office to meet with the owner. Instead of resolving this professionally, I was told that all of this is "legal" and that pricing varies depending on how long people stay, or because of demand in the area. They offered me a new site--but it was too small for my camper, despite their claims it could hold 50-foot units. When I tried to address this, the manager became extremely rude, raised her voice, would not allow me to speak with the owner, and then hung up on me. Shortly after, police arrived because the manager had called them claiming criminal trespass--despite the fact that I was fully paid up on rent and electricity. Even the officers stated it was a waste of time and advised me to take this matter to court. To make matters worse, I later discovered the manager was calling other RV parks in the Abilene area, telling them not to rent to me or my family. This is not only unprofessional--it's harassment and slander. I ultimately decided to leave because I refuse to be forced into moving spots after five months, especially with a toddler and animals, and because of the continued mistreatment. To future guests/tenants: be aware of Ridgeview RV Park's practices. Overbooking long-term tenants, inconsistent rates, inaccurate billing, and harassment are not how a park should be run. Dom (owner), if you want to run a successful park, you need to ensure fair treatment of long-term tenants and properly train your staff. Rachel (manager), your treatment of guests has been disrespectful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. This is my experience, and I share it so that others can be informed before staying here.

It has now been 3 weeks, and I still have not received anything. I have called multiple times and keep getting different answers -- that it's up to "corporate" or that a check has already been sent, yet nothing has arrived. One staff member (Meagan) was especially rude and dismissive when I tried to get an update, which made the situation even worse. Lisa was the only person who showed kindness and professionalism, but unfortunately she is no longer there. At this point, I am simply asking for the refund that was promised. I hope management takes this seriously and resolves it immediately.

There are several pull-through sites but all were taken by 2:30 in the afternoon, the early bird gets the worm. lol

The next month was 745+ electric now starting July 1 I get another email saying they assess the area and the assessment was high so they're raising it 800+ electric they own the business and they're being very greedy when you talk to somebody about it and they are complete a holes so myself and quite a few other people left to find a more respectful and honest campground. It's not right to gouge prices on out-of-town workers, especially when you're going off assessment, but they own four other campgrounds in the area they can name their price and they choose to price gouge I can't wait till this Data Center is complete and they have no business I recommend not staying there. There is a couple other parks that are catering to these construction workers a lot better and closer because they have deals with the Data Center.

They offer at different times, excellent breakfast burritos, burgers almost daily, enchiladas with beans and rice, accompanied with chips and very tasty salsa. Periodic specials appear randomly, such as chicken and dumplings, or chicken noodle soup, and most recently, Friday is fish day. Either a 2pc or a 4pc fried catfish dinner with fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, beans and rice offered as sides. I just enjoyed a 4 pc, and they do NOT skimp on the fish. I couldn't finish it, just too much food, but very good. To keep track of what they are doing, Facebook has they're page, Lake Sweetwater General Store, or the more popular group, Friends of Old Lake Sweetwater. They're posting regularly there to promote their business to us locals. As a Lake Sweetwater resident, it's nice to have this convenience, but if you're passing nearby, worth a look.
