SO - with COVID, the "parents" are not allowed inside with their pet. You call the office once you arrive, a staff member comes out to retrieve your pet, the vet calls you once they have visited with your pet, a staff member calls shortly after for payment of services, and then a staff member brings your pet out afterwards. It's as simple as that. I called Compassionate Care after being referred to them by a friend. My family and I added a Shih-Poo puppy (Molly) to our family a few weeks ago so I wanted to do a wellness visit and make sure that she was up-to-date with her vaccinations. The staff members and vet techs were super friendly (over the phone and when getting Molly and dropping her back off). The vet was even more friendly and super informative. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name - but it was not Dr. Miles. I do not see anyone listed on their webpage except for Dr. Miles. The vet went over EVERYTHING with me that had to do with taking care of and training a puppy. He spent about thirty minutes on the phone with me and I absorbed everything that he had to share. I really enjoyed my time with him. It showed me that he was both compassionate and caring! I also really like the app that Compassionate Care uses to keep you up to date with your appointments. With having a puppy, I think that this is super handy. We have another appointment in two weeks for boosters and I am looking forward to speaking with the staff and vet again. If you have a pet, I would highly recommend Compassionate Care!

All through 4-H, Dr Haynes would come out to our farm and provide the health documentation required for me to show them at the local fairs. He never charged me either! Instead, I'd trade him between 5 and 10 pints of the Raspberries we grew for him and his office staff. Recently, we found ourselves looking for a vet who would accept a voucher for neutering from the Advocat program and Winchester Vet Clinic did. We had never been there for our small animals but we knew that they were a good place. I made an appointment and they were friendly and told me exactly what I needed to prepare my cat for the procedure. When we dropped him off, he was petrified, but the staff was gentle and calm and he calmed down quickly. Unlike the horrible place we had taken our other cat, they were also going to keep him overnight just to make sure he was OK and so he could have pain medication (I'm feeling more and more sorry for our other cat and his experience now!). When we went to pick him up, the vet tech got us up to speed on how he did (he wasn't happy, but did fine), went over his weight and other health indicators, and then went over post-op instructions including written instructions to which we could refer. We have one cat that requires fluids and injections every 3 weeks due to very common issue with cats called feline stimatitus. Our cat has had this for several years and when we thought he was at his worst and there weren't any other options, we brought him to Vet Clinic East and Dr. Wendy Powell as a second opinion. She gave us not only several options for Bailey but also hope that he would be with us for several more years. Now, 4 years later, our kitty is doing better than he was when we first brought him in!
