After a couple of days, I realized that my friend was not going to follow through, so I called Screens and Things back to ask if they could do the job, and they cheerfully reinstated the contract and completed the job. Signature Shades installed a remote feature for us... and get this - they even put a solar panel on the motor so we wouldn't have to change out the battery on the motor every 6 months (cause we wouldn't be able to reach to change the battery).
