After cutting down a lot of trees around our house, we needed some blinds for our large windows. I planned on ordering drapes until I did a quick search and discovered A Blinds. After reading all the positive reviews on Yelp about them (and looking at all the photos) my husband and I went to their shop at the International Marketplace and scheduled a home consultation. I was pretty sure I wanted to order blinds for 3 windows but when Jae came out and we saw the price of the blinds, we decided to do 2 more windows in the living and dining room and also a set of blinds in my office. A couple of weeks later, the blinds arrived and Daniel and Ray came out to install. I was so impressed by the installation - they used a laser to make sure the blinds are level. We also opted for wired blinds rather than battery and they put a clip on the wall where we could mount the remote. We've only had the blinds in for a week but we love them. It has totally transformed our living area. During the day, the room is cooler and at night, the blinds add a cozy feeling to the space. For my office, I ordered Sashiko blinds. These blinds are opaque but let in a subtle light, and the pattern of the blinds changes throughout the day. Jae said the fabric was made in Japan. The blinds themselves remind me of Japanese scrolls. The team is terrific. Jae provides all the details of the blinds as well as has the artistic eye, and Daniel and Ray are master installers. Some of their recommendations were installing the sliding blinds to the top of the ceiling to make the room look larger (it does!); % sun blocking blinds in the dining room; and less % sun blocking blinds in the family room. Their blinds are done on the mainland so it took a few weeks to finish the installation, but the installation was QUICK and so perfect for our needs! I'm a property manager and hired A Blinds to install roll down shades for a rental unit a couple years ago. We've been very pleased with them! But just this week I called them because I was having a little issue with one spot getting too worn because tenants typically aren't the best at being gentle. They arranged for Ben to come take a look and try to fix this area that's getting pulled on too hard. Ben is just such an awesome guy. He offered to fix it "like new" at no charge! Granted this repair area is very small and is probably an easy fix for these pros, I just really appreciated that! I just want to thank the A Blinds team for being part of our home renovation. We live in a condo near Waikiki and decided to renovate the entire place.
