Did a horrible job with window cleaning. We commented on the streaks left and stuff still stuck on windows. And this is not the top windows but the bottom windows of the house that I noticed issues. They said they would come by that day to review the work but they never did and are not replying to emails. Used them based on neighborhood recommendation but never again. They do not stand by their work nor do they have any quality control. Tim Cook is their Director of Operations and clearly only interested in getting their money but not doing a good job. read more

Requested exterior window cleaning for my house just before we put it on the market. Scheduling was easy. Too easy. Person who gave me the quote asked if windows had screens and, if so, could they be removed from outside. I confirmed by taking one off myself. They are new windows and it was easy. Then, the day of the work, I get a call that the cleaners didn't bring a ladder and that their boss "doesn't want us taking any screens off." I told them this was exactly what was contracted for. They said they'd check with their boss and get back to me. Boss calls and has changed the story. Now they can't remove the screens because they might damage my windows. I explained that the screens are easy to remove. A novice like I was able to do it. Surely, the window heroes can find a way. The guy refused to do the work. Beware: these guys are a joke. read more

I was impressed by friendliness of estimating manager and work crew even though the price seemed high. I expected excellent service. Unfortunately, the crew was slapdash - finished large house with picture windows and skylights in under 2 hours. Streaky windows were pointed out and assured they would dry clear which they didn't. Screens were taken off and 5 just left on the ground. 3 windows weren't cleaned at all. Shortly after the service, when I had had a chance to carefully inspect all the windows, I called and left a message that I had concerns that I would like to discuss. One star says it all. I requested a proposal. An employee told me when he'd be out to see our house. We were home but never saw anyone. When I contacted them to find out what happened, I was told he'd been here. We never saw anyone. I had to make another call to get the estimate... which I thought was high. Too many other options out there to have to put up with this kind of customer service. read more

I have used the window washing service several times and was satisfied and then I had them come out and do a pressure wash. They broke my entry light, bleached some of my furniture and sprayed hot bleach water on my bird house. The gate was left open, I was lucky the dog didn't escape. They also bleached my driveway and added some kind of a slick to it. I arranged to have the company manager come out and survey the damage and he never showed up at the time we agreed to. I finally got a phone call (after i called the business) saying that he lost track of time and would be there an hour and a half after he was to be here. Terrible service. Update 10-31-20: user another gutter cleaning company in the Durham area and come to find out, the gutter guards installed by these jokers were not installed properly and there are apparently gaps. Additionally one corner of gutters were not even cleaned out when labor panes installed the gutter guards (tons of dirt that would have accumulated proper to installing the gutter guards were found). It is mind boggling to see 5 star ratings for this company. Do not waste your money, there are plenty of better options in this area! read more

We had them come out and power wash our horribly dirty house! LOL Let me put it this way: When I got home from work, I actually thought our house had been painted! I was in shock. Honestly, it looked brand spanking new. My husband was home that day and he said they arrived on time, were really nice and did a fabulous job. I couldn't agree more. I called for a quote, Steve showed on time and gave a reasonable quote. I later called to schedule and the crew actually showed up way early on the day of the appointment. Maybe someone had canceled? I forgot to ask. The work was completed and my deck which had accumulated years of mold because it's real shady and needs more sun light to prevent mold growth, looks GREAT! The vinyl siding on the house is refreshed and the foundation walls are cleaned of black and green mold. The low pressure wash did work as advertised, but some high pressure was needed on the rear deck as it was pretty bad. Matt and his helper (sorry I didn't get his name) were very professional and I will consider Labor Panes again. read more

Brent is a super nice guy, but the work is lacking. There seems to be a strong disconnect between his delivery team and what he promises. Outside window procedure is not a hand clean, but a spray method that leaves streaking. Will never use them again. read more

I hired Labor Panes of Durham/Chapel Hill to power wash my home and my deck, and clean the exterior of the windows, based on the very good reviews posted for them on Yelp. It was a great decision, because they did a first-class job. They are apparently very much in demand, because they were scheduled a couple of weeks ahead, but it was well worth the wait. We hired Labor Panes to clean the exterior windows of our home, clean the gutters, and power wash the driveway and front porch. They were easy to schedule and were affordable compared to other companies. They seemed to do a great job cleaning the gutters and power washing. The windows look cleaner but do have some pretty large streaks on some of the windows. I would definitely hire them again for power washing and gutter cleaning but may look for someone else for window cleaning. UPDATE: After seeing this review, Daniel from Labor Panes reached out to me to ask if he could come take a look at the streaked windows to re-clean them. He was extremely responsive and came to take a look at them as soon as I got back to him. One of the windows (unbeknownst to me) actually had paint on it from getting our house painted rather than streaks. Daniel took time to not only clean the marked windows but also try his best to remove the paint, which is no easy task. I would definitely recommend Labor Panes and will use them again for window cleaning. If you're not happy, they work hard to make it right. read more

I hired these guys to pressure wash my house, driveway, stone walls, clean windows inside and out, and clean gutters. Let me start by saying the team that came was VERY customer services oriented, polite, and a pleasure to work with. The house looked fabulous and the surface pressure washing also looked awesome. I was very pleased with that. The windows came out good, though they missed wiping down the window ledges on at least 5 windows. On the gutters, however, they were not able to clear a few of the gutters without removing the gutter guards and would not reinstall the guards when done...?! They gave me a $50 credit - I should have demanded the full $150 if they couldn't do the job! Would I recommend these guys to my neighbors? I would probably look for a different company to do the gutter work. read more

This is an update to an earlier review that I gave on a gutter cleaning job that took place when I wasn't at home. After talking with the supervisor, Daniel, and talking with him about my experience, he was very understanding and he immediately told his employee to come by my house and meet with me so we could go over what had been done and flush all of the downspouts to make sure they were flowing properly. His employee came first thing the next morning and worked closely with me to go thorough all the work she had done and then flush out each downspout with water. She was very polite and cooperative and convinced me that the gutters were very clean and downspouts flowing properly. As a result, I have changed my opinion of Labor Panes and would gladly hire them again in the future. read more

Very satisfied - my gutters were pretty clogged and they did a great job cleaning them out. I was not home when they came by but they called in advance, let me know where to leave the check, and when I came home the gutters were totally clear. There was some debris left around the perimeter of the house (which is why it's not 5 stars), but nothing that a first rain wouldn't clear away. I'm very satisfied and would definitely use them to clean my gutters again. read more

I called Labor Panes for the first time and have not had my house pressure washed for over 7 years- Matt did a great job- friendly, detailed and careful to stay away from a vulnerable paint portion. In 2019 and in 2020, I used labor panes and they performed both gutter cleaning and power washing as requested at a fair price. In 2021, I asked for the same gutter cleaning service. The first quote from labor panes was nearly 3x the price from 2019 and 2020. I explained this was too high and they countered with a lower quote (still nearly 2x increase). Same exact service. I told them I would get other bids b/c the price still seemed too high. I was able to get two different bids from other companies at prices much closer to the 2019 and 2020 levels. I understand there is labor inflation, but not at the price increases Labor Panes was quoting in 2021. Despite informing them that I was looking for other options in writing, they still scheduled the work without authorization at the price which is too high. I had to demand that they cancel the unauthorized work. I can no longer trust this company. Price is too high and questionable business practices - scheduling unauthorized work via email. I will inform Better Business Bureau as well. read more

Labor Pains just performed their first service in my home and I could not be more pleased. So much so that I have now committed to a scheduled twice per year cleaning. The result was excellent and the company is particularly well organized (prompt responses to inquiries, punctual, fairly priced, courtesy appointment reminders and in-transit courtesy calls, etc.). Second time they washed our windows (not an easy job since they all have 12 panes): incredible attention to detail - crew leader reviewed each window and did touch-ups before leaving. They left windows spotless and made sure they didn't make a mess inside the house (e.g. tracking in dirt or wiping debris from windows into house). Efficient but thorough; the nicest, most flexible professionals I think I've ever worked hired (everyone from owner to admin staff to the crew).
