I am updating my review to reflect my direct experience with the Calgary project. My concerns are not related to aesthetics or minor preferences, but to the lack of clear disclosure, inconsistent guidance, and the final outcome not meeting the functional requirements that were clearly communicated. During the initial discussions, I specifically communicated that my primary requirement was to improve natural light and overall usability of the space. However, important product limitations were not disclosed at the time of decision-making. Specifically: * The impact of vinyl frame design on usable glass area was not explained prior to installation * This directly reduced the amount of natural light compared to what was discussed * This limitation was only clarified after installation had already progressed In addition, there was no written documentation in the contract or in any manufacturer materials provided indicating that adding a storm door could impact or void the warranty of the main entry door. This limitation was only communicated after installation through email. Even then, there was no clear, consistent, or actionable solution provided. At one-point, limited options were mentioned, but without a clear recommendation or a warranty-supported alternative. This resulted in a situation where: * A key limitation was not disclosed at the time of purchase * The customer is later restricted by that limitation * No clear or practical path forward is provided From an installation standpoint, the process raised additional concerns. Multiple service visits were required to address issues that, in my view, could have been avoided if the installation had been completed correctly the first time. During follow-up, a senior inspector from another team reviewed the work and identified issues that had not been addressed earlier. This highlighted inconsistencies in the initial installation work. There were also instances where basic installation details for basement windows, such as proper end dam handling, required clarification during inspection. This added to repeated visits, delays, and overall complexity of the project. While the Calgary team did respond and attempt to address concerns, the number of follow-ups and the need for escalation indicated gaps in execution and consistency. I appreciate that the team remained responsive after the issues were raised. However, for a project of this scale and cost, clear and complete communication at the outset -- along with consistent installation quality -- is essential. I also note that Window Mart's official response acknowledges that certain details could have been communicated more clearly. In this case, the issue is not just about expectations, but about key functional limitations not being fully explained at the time of decision-making. This experience highlights the importance of: * Getting written clarification on technical limitations * Understanding how product design affects actual functionality (not just appearance) * Ensuring installation quality and consistency from the beginning * Confirming compatibility and warranty implications before finalizing decisions This review reflects my actual experience so that other homeowners can ask the right questions and make fully informed decisions before proceeding with similar projects. read more

Seems to be the only review site that actually shows the true experience with this company. Hope others see if before being fooled by their webpage only showing the positive Google reviews. Horrible communication. I had to hound them every step of the way to keep in contact with me and I was never notified of any delays in the process and my windows ended up being over a month overdue from the date promised in my contract. Delays happen of course but nothing was done to let me know about it so I could make arrangements for the new install window. Absolutely zero customer service available to try and make things better. I had to go into the branch in order to find out my windows had been done for over a week already and once actually able to be booked for installation, the install guys did a good job but seemed unwilling to interact with me in my own home. From start to finish, there was a complete disconnect between customer and their company. Happy with the product, could not be more upset with the process. For a company with a mission statement reading "100% Customer Satisfaction", they certainly missed the mark. I hope others can see this review and steer clear of Window Mart Edmonton. read more

When looking for a new side door, deliver/install was very important. When booking Window Mart, I had asked the reception how long from the date I was quoted to install and was told 3 weeks. Piyush texted in advance with a time he would be arriving and arrived on time (loved this!) Fast forward to today. I had Piyush visit for my in-person quote. I reiterated how long install would be from today and was told "8 weeks", I told him if this was the true, he didn't need to bother quoting me, as I had asked this at time of booking and was told 3 weeks. He started back tracking and said it was for "doors with glass", I asked if he could clarify stock and he said he could call his manager. I'm not sure if they were aware I could hear the entire call but before ending the call, the manager said "make sure you over charge them for this call happening." That line alone, solidified the deal not happening. Piyush asked which doors I liked, to which 1 he said was "too expensive" (for me). He then told me about a financing option and let him know we would be paying cash for whatever decision was made and suddenly were offered a bunch of discounts on all sorts of doors. Several hours later, my husband checked the door and realized Piyush had unlocked the door and did not re-lock it. I had double checked the door once we were done with it but he had gone back after his call with the manager. GreenFox Window & Doors is a much better option for Doors. The turn around time is higher but they are friendly, better customer service and safety read more

Getting a quote was easy but getting the work done was impossible. Tried many times to get the work done with no reply over a long period of time of waiting. Ended up going through WeatherPro and got my windows booked with no hassle. read more

I am very disappointed with the response that I got when I called the Edmonton office today. Last year we had Windowmart install a new front door and, next to it, the interior garage access door. Good service and installation, but there is a problem. The interior garage door opens into the house, and at the time of installation, although it wasn't what I expected, I thought it was OK. Over time, it has proved to be a major irritant. I phoned today to see if I could arrange to have it changed, and was bluntly told "we don't do that"! No discussion, no interest. Very poor response. read more

Poor service- windows themselves seem good but the installer did a very poor job caulking all windows. He broke a piece upon installation and tried to hide the fact- we had to point it out to him . He promised to return to fix it which he never did. Called multiple times windowmart kept sending people out who had no clue how to help.. its been 2 months of promises and NO ONE HAS FIXED THE ISSUES WE HAVE. Save yourselves the time from what i heard windowmart does not have the reputation they claim to have. I wish i had done better reseach. read more

If you want fast and reliable service, don't choose Windowmart. If you want to be treated like a valued customer, get your windows and doors somewhere else. My story? I purchased 2 windows, 2 exterior doors and 2 phantom doors. The order was placed June 15 and I was quoted 8-9 weeks for install. In early August I called my rep twice to know the status of my order, and to go over colour options for my phantom door. No response. I called the office the 3rd week of August and was told the delay was due to my windows not being ready. I waited week on week for my install, with no calls from the company. Finally the installation date was scheduled September 16th BUT I was called two days before to re-schedule. I was told my door wasn't ready. At this point I told them if they didn't show up they could cancel the entire order considering we were now at 14 weeks (and their customer service was the pits). On the day of install, the back window was an improper fit. I was told 2-3 weeks to get a new one. I complained to the manager about my experience and, as a good will gesture, he said he'd try to find a phantom door in the colour I wanted. To date (Oct 11th) I've had no contact from WindowMart. I called Oct 11th for an update and was told by the reception my window wouldn't be installed until November!. I asked for a call back from the manager but, by the next day, my call still wasn't returned. Save yourself the grief. read more

I went to buy windows for my house and their terrible clerk by the name Alexandru Varzari offered horrible customer service. He was absolutely rude, did not care to listen, he had some terrible international accent that was impossible to understand. Horrible service! Never go there! read more

Worst company ever. First, it took them four months instead of the promised two to install our windows. We had to call them and remind about us few times and already there communication with them was difficult as they would not return calls as promised. Now installation, because of their delay was done in a very cold temperature with all our windows removed for majority of the day. Our furnace was going crazy. The installation was so so and there was lots of dirt in our house after the installation. We noticed that one crank window was not locking properly and called and emailed them. No one has showed up for over two weeks and getting a response from them is very difficult. I actually called the number I had for the installer. He told me that he is no longer working for them as they did not pay him for the work he had done for them. I know that he has the right to even sue us for the work he did as he was a subcontractor for Windowmart. If you do not want drama and headaches stay away from this company. read more

Ordered windows and doors in May, was told an expected installation date end of July. Not a word from window mart in July. Tried to call early August, only got voicemail or hung up. Emailed them about my order. Called back a week later, still waiting on the delivery of 1 door. Ask if they could install in-stock windows & door. Dismissed that idea. Called back in September mentioning that it was getting too cold for my house to be open to the cold for hours, I have a young child. Booked install dates 2nd week in October. End of September, call and say there is an opening a week earlier. Agree to new dates. 3 days to do the job. Show up after 10 the 1st day & block my vehicle in. 2 men. One starts basement window that we are making bigger, he has to dig out the window well & break concrete, 1 of 2 biggest jobs. Other guy works on 1 window and 1 door. First guy finishes digging the window well & starts -jackhammering- the concrete. No concrete saw. This takes all 3 days. Last day they have the rest of the basement window & a 500lb bow window. It's a long day, they start after 10. Day 2 notice the other basement window is significantly smaller than ordered. Still have 2 most important windows left, so don't bother the installers, really want them to finish so we can leave for Thanksgiving before dark. I email the manager about window, measure it & find it is 46% smaller than ordered. Don't hear back until after Thanksgiving. Installers finish the install at 8:30pm, it's pitch black outside. Filling out the paperwork, don't give paperwork until they are ready to leave to make you feel rushed & so you don't notice how much they screwed you over, notice the cutout window is also significantly smaller than ordered. They had to do significantly less work, order less gravel to fill window well, order a smaller window & window well. This is not what I paid for but we want them out of our house so we make note of the problems & politely get them out. Contact me after weekend & manager comes to look. First thing he sees is the installers didn't remove the stickers & clean the windows. Show him the 2 problem windows & present my calculations of how much I have been ripped off. Ignores me for 3 weeks. After 2 weeks I call & leave a message and expect some sort of solution before the end of the month. On Nov 1 I call & ask to speak with him. He skirts my call (I was told he was in the office when I called) and I leave the message that I need to hear from him today. An hour later I get an email, they are not doing anything & I have to live with these problem windows with no compensation for their mistakes and incompetence. read more

On installation day, the door had a major problem -- it required extreme effort to open and close. We didn't want it installed, but we were assured by All Weather that it could be fixed with adjustments. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed the installer and made him tear off all the moulding and move the door half an inch. This did not solve the issue. We were then told the window had to be paid for in full before any warranty work would begin. We paid, with hesitation, believing it was our only option. Over the next several months, they returned multiple times -- often arriving without the proper parts or tools, and even forgetting which parts they had already replaced. Now, five months later (in September), the door is still not fixed or properly finished. Once All Weather realized they could not fix it, they dismissed the problem and told us it was "good enough," even though the door is still difficult to open and close and is missing weather stripping. As an elderly couple, this ordeal has been exhausting and stressful. After months of delays, excuses, and failed fixes, we cannot recommend All Weather At Home to anyone."

Due to their actions I had to drop more money on custom blinds and now I need to hire some to fix the mess they left behind. It has been over a month and they have not returned our calls and emails. This was in 2021 when this was an issue. This ended up being untrue and everything was delayed. Install was finally completed in Jan 2022. Our patio door was the first issue that I noticed. We could barely open it. It took me over a year and countless visits by their techs to finally say that the door was defective. I stayed home for dozens of these visits missing work and activities/family time, and no one would take notes or submit paper work and it was ALWAYS me following up with the company for anything to be done. Their trim work is also done so poorly, it splits within weeks to months after install. They told me if I wanted it done nicely that I would have to pay extra. They also use a copious amount of caulk to fill in any gaps on the exterior. They also damaged our walls and new flooring during the install. We had other windows done by another company as we were fed up with Ecoline and this was not an issue for any of their windows. I am now dealing with our replacement patio door. It is bowed and now leaking cold air into the house. I have reached out to them, and of course I know this is going to be a painful process to get anything rectified. I do not have any hope that they will do anything. Lastly, they demand payment upfront and before any work starts. They will just stand there until they are paid. This is because the company will make the workers pay the company if a client does not pay. Highly unethical. A client should be able to pay once the work is done and you are satisfied, not before. There is no hold back in case poor work is done. I have lost countless work days, time with my family and energy with this company for them to rectify their issues. They are unwilling to make anything right. Stay away from this company.

I'm pleased to report that we've just been through a week of super-cold weather and I can see outside--my new windows are completely ice-free. From the salesperson, Artem, to the final check by the owner, Pavlo, the experience with this company was superb. Yes, the owner comes to do the final check and makes sure you're happy with everything. Who else does this! I felt well taken care of. The installation was good. They were quick, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. My only regret (and this has nothing to do with the company) is that I used to have indirect airflow before with being able to open the outside slider and the inside slider at the opposite end. Now, because I only have only one (high-quality) slider, I get direct air from the west and that means I get dirt blowing in. If I'd considered this, I may have chosen a different design. We reached out to Dave and booked a time to meet up. He wrote up a quote and he started our projects a few weeks later. Projects included: Removing door and jam and drywalling over the entrance, he also did several other drywall patching. He installed our hood fan, hung several hooks, added shelving to our closets and laundry room. He also added moldings along our baseboards and refaced our dated 1990's fireplace with fluted wood paneling. Dave, was true to his name, very dependable! This is the second time we changed our windows, and I should say that the first experience at our previous house left a lot to be desired. As is usually the case when you know little about something and end up trusting a company that presents itself well to do your project, we did just that and then regretted we didn't do a proper research. A few years into replacement, it seemed like some of the windows weren't properly insulated as draft was felt coming in from feet away. Not only that but after another couple of years some started to become foggy inside. Needless to say, we were quite frustrated. This time around I was determined to make it right. I did my research and after getting several quotes, I couldn't help but lean towards Window Mart, despite an impressive list of candidates. Of all of the sales persons, Ivan who represented Window Mart outperformed the others with his genuine personality and well rounded knowledge of the windows that he conveyed though an excellent presentation. He clearly demonstrated the advantages of his product and confirmed that it would be best to go with triple pane LowE-272 windows. It wouldn't have been a 5-star review though had the installation not been done properly, considering that it wasn't the first time, years before. Thankfully, Sergey (the installer) nailed it - I could tell he was giving it his best - as well as cleaned thoroughly afterwards. All in all, Window Mart deserves my highest recommendation and assurance that you will be rewarded with the best product and service that this market can offer. read more

i was shopping around for a few months and getting a few different estimates for my windows and my doors until i meet Tim Ametov the sales personal of Window Mart he came on time was very punctual and very respectful, I told him that I dont have all the money for my project and he didnt treat me any different when I said that to the others they werent as dedicated anymore. I told Tim I wanna change a couple windows at a time and he suggested I do all so i can get the best rebate and discount and he offered me to finance it at a low interest rate and ZERO DOWN I could not ask for a better deal he was very ambitious and amazing at his presentation and explaining everything. Everything he said was happening the way the installer Tahir & Aziz came and layed drop sheets all over the house so they can walk with there safety shoes without making my floors dirty they were also very respectful and walked me thru everything that they were doing and they didnt mind me watching and asking questions. I am happy with there work and if you're looking to change windows or doors i would recommend none other than Tim from Window Mart. Save you the hassle on getting a lot of different quotes and save your the time. 5 stars service read more

The windows that we had were original ones and most of them needed replacement because the wood at the bottom had been deteriorating and we also wanted to increase the energy efficiency of our house considering how much the technology has leaped forward in this 30 year period. Luckily, our friends recommended Window Mart to us, who did a terrific job for them replacing all the windows, as well as converting their patio door into garden doors. They did it again! Outright, we were very pleased with the way Ivan explained everything. Oh yes, the praise that our friends Nate and Kayla gave him was well deserved! We felt totally comfortable proceeding with the order right then and there. We didn't expect anything less from the installers, and thanks to Sergey and his assistant, the work was completed in a timely manner, with no spots left for us to clean. And oh well the windows - aren't they just fabulous to look at and operate! The sliding doors too - we absolutely adore having the blinds built in-between the glass panes, makes them so much more useful! Great service from start to finish!!! We were looking to replace all our windows & doors in our 25 years old house. After research of 4 companies Lux windows, Ecoline, Home Depot and Window Mart we decided to chose Window Mart. Our sales consultant Ivan came over to our house on time. He explained several options in terms of style, colors and different type of installations. Also he gave us options of financing witch was not big factor for us to make a decision use Window Mart but because of the way he explained the whole process up to showing us how are they made. In terms price they were not the cheapest but considering windows are one time purchase we decided to get quality product. Installation crew was great to deal with. They did a great job and cleaned up after they finished installation. They took away disposal. We would definitely recommend Window Mart to our family and friends also who is looking for great product and customer service. 100% satisfied !!! read more

Recently replaced my windows, my front door and my my patio door thru this company. I have to say my experience was great Tim Ametov came over and showed me all the different types of windows and doors showed me their product he was very good at explaining everything very detailed. Tim Ametov also came on the day of installation to make sure everything was going well. Tahir and Aziz the installer did a wonderful job they cleaned selves vacuum where was needed and made it look like nothing happenedmy husband and I are 100% satisfied with their work. knowing that I have a transferable 25years warranty is very comforting I am now enjoying my new windows and would gladly recommend this company to all my friends and family. read more

We were looking for windows and doors replacement for our house. We got 6 different companies for quotes and we decided to go ahead with Window Mart. We had Max came over to give estimate. He explained how the windows were made in Canada. After we decided to visit their showroom. They were not the cheapest but we felt that their windows and doors superior. Also they offered best warranty witch was a big factor for us. Windows and doors were installed back in August 2018 and we waited to see how will work out in winter. We are satisfied with it and make a big difference on saving heat. We would 100% recommend Window Mart to anyone who is looking for great product and service. read more

We wanted to change our windows and sliding doors a few years now, got couple quotes in spring but did not feel comfortable making the investment. In late summer we decided it has to happen and tried Window Mart. Daria was much more professional than first two sales people. She spent around 2 hours with us - showed actual windows and took time to educate us about them. Installer did very good job and cleaned well after he finished installations. Now we have great looking windows and sliding doors are super easy to open and close. Next year we plan to also change front and back doors and will choose Window Mart again. read more

My husband and I were looking to replace our front and back doors. We have decided to use Window Mart after their sales consultant explained different options we have. In the mean time we thouth to get price for our windows. They have the best quality so far and different payments options available so we decided to do whole house windows & doors. Window Mart is the kind of a company you almost instantly feel will do things right. Ivan who came to do the estimate on our windows and the front door most certainly hit home in that department. It was crystal clear the quality was rock solid and we knew we didn't want anything less than that. The same can be said about the quality of installation. I have been in the construction business for a long time and I gotta tell ya, Sergey and Alex came across as very capable of doing the job and the results speak for themselves. We dealt with Ziad at the Edmonton office. He told us that it would be about 5 months to build our custom doors. Five months later, a major cold snap hit. Windowmart called and suggested we wait for warmer weather, which we agreed to do. During a brief break, they attended and installed our doors. After they left, the front door needed a small adjustment. Oleksandra from service booked a visit, their techs showed up at set time, adjusted the door, checked it twice, smiled and left. We were looking to get some windows replace in our 32 years old home. After careful research out of 5 diferent companies decided to go ahead with Window Mart. Reason of that was factor number one quality of product and two their sales rep was very friendly and not pushy. In terms of price they were not the cheapest but reasonable compare with their quality. Installers come and did great job. They cleaned up after themselvs. Windows looks great. A few years ago we bought windows with a company that is no longer in business. Last year we went with Window Mart.What can I say..We liked the quality. The installation was done very professionally. During this frigid temperatures we called our salesperson on account of condensation forming on our windows. Daria patiently educated us on some "tricks" on preventing this moisture. And today she called us to check if it disappeared. We were pleasantly surprised on this professional service. They are very busy company, but put the clients satisfaction first. High quality windows with perfect installation Eight windows in our house have just been replaced by Window Mart. The project started with Slava's visit. With a demo window, Slava explained their products, answered all our questions, and helped us make the right decision of hiring Window Mart for the job. Alex and his crew came for the installation on scheduled day. They removed the old, installed the new, and made sure everything fit perfectly. After all finishing done, they did thorough clean-up. Great service, very happy with the way our new windows look and operate. Our house in Temple had very old original aluminum sliders, terrible in winter, so we had to change them asap. Daria did excellent job explaining how Window Mart windows are made, did very good presentation and we did not think too long because it was clear the quality was there. Very professional installation too, so we are super happy we don't have to spend another winter with those old windows! We have friends who need new windows and my brother and his family too. We just had our windows replaced by Window Mart , its was a bit cold but the installers didn't stop at all , Lilian was excellent and did a great job installing , was very fast and efficient .
