This business has the worst customer service. It's very difficult to get them to answer their phone and if they do, don't count on getting the answer you needed. We had windows installed in January and by accident the installer broke a window - supposedly ordered a replacement at that time. It's May and finally a new repair person came to install the new window but they sent him here with repair parts, not a new window. He was as confused as we were. So he will order the window so in a month or two from now, we'll see what comes in. We made a mistake and chose the wrong window company. Never again. read more

Do not use window world. They will not honor their warranty even when they AGREE their product is faulty. They will tell you they are working to resolve the issue and then wait for you to call again. After having my windows now for many years, I can whole-heartedly attest that you should look elsewhere for quality replacement windows. First, when the installers replaced the trim molding, the "fit" was a very bad fit. They had no expertise or concern for how well the miter joints fit. They simply applied ample amounts of caulk (in a messy fashion) to each corner joint. Secondly, there are mechanical elements within the window slides that break and/or stick. This shows as windows that fall out of the frame when you release the latch for cleaning. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't!!! read more

I had Window World replace six sliding glass doors. The company representative miss measured the doors causing me to purchase special order doors at an additional cost of $4,000. They could not be installed without cutting them out and removing all of the shingle on that part of my home. They replaced it with siding so now that area doesn't match the rest of the home Service has been horrible taking an additional 6 months to get all of the parts (screen, toe locks). I was told they were going to charge me to come out to see if the work was covered. I sent a pic of one of the problems and got No reply. As others have noted in their reviews, we were also upsold on the windows for the same inappropriate reason others were given. We called to have an associate come out to see the problem, with a $49.00 charge. He came out, on January 10th, and indicated that the windows were manufactured by a company no longer in business. Rarely will you get a window for their prices advertised which is understood. There are a ton of add ons and extras so in reality each window is probably $500 or so. No one called me when my windows were ready so after I called it turns out they were sitting there for 2 weeks. The installer did a good job, but watch their financing clauses. You have 12 months to pay in full, if you don't they charge you the BACK interest on your original statement. So after paying for a year I ended up paying $800 of back interest. I called to find out the installers quit. I was rescheduled for first thing Friday morning. Again no one showed up so I called around 11. I would use 0 stars if possible. They came to give us an estimate and told us 3 months before windows come in. We said no problem. 5 months go by and still no phone call. I called and they said my windows were in a month ago, someone should've called. They booked my installation a month from that phone call. The 1st 3 appointments were no shows. It's Now 7 months since they took my deposit and they install my 11 windows. The installer decides to use his friends to help him, who are not associated with window world. The next day I find at least three major things missing from our bedrooms, totaling almost $7k in cost. Window world did not take action or responsibility and stopped answering my calls. We had one on the east wall dining g room that had been upgraded in the past. I scheduled the install and the installers never showed up. I tried to call several times and no answer. "Skip" had to come 4 times as he kept losing the measurements for the double hung. After 4 months of back and forth they finally scheduled my install date of 1-14-2022. On 01-11-2022 & 01-13-2022 I left messages to confirm my installation date. Big surprise, they never showed up and never returned my calls. Buyer beware. Ordered windows for my florida room in October 2018 paid 50% up front for windows to arrive and install the first week of December 2018. Today is April 17, 2019 and I am in the process of cancelling the order. The original order arrived and was wrong on February 7, 2019. After the installer told me the sliders I ordered could not be used for the job, they would re-order double hung and it would be another 2-3 weeks. They sent an installer out to re-measure and still hadn't re-ordered which they are telling me will be an additional 2-3 weeks and now there will be an additional charge. Since the replacements have not been re-ordered I am cancelling. I would not recommend this business. Six months later and starting the process over! read more

I had a great experience with Window World of Buffalo, they can't be beat on price and while the overall job took longer than I expected I am absolutely delighted with the quality of Windows and service received. Because of factory closure around the holidays the windows I ordered in early November didn't get in until late January, a factor I can understand. My objective was to have windows I could open by Spring, so a February install didn't bother me much. The installation went very smoothly, the gentlemen were neat and efficient and really couldn't have been nicer. They installed my full house of Windows in about 7 hours and cleaned as they went. I noticed a small issue with the screens, there were some squiggles in about half of them. Within only a couple of days Window World had someone out to re-screen them at no cost. That is great service, while the squiggles were small and didn't interfere with the functionality, it was an eye sore and without hesitation they were fixed. Worst company to deal with for windows. We replaced all the windows in our house. Big mistake. We ordered energy star windows for the front of our house since this is the side that gets the weather. The windows allow cold air infiltration between the sashes. They ignored us for 1 year. Our living room and bedroom are very cold and drafty in the winter causing our heat bill to keep increasing. We've been dealing with this for 4 years. They will send someone out who gives us basically lip service and tells us the windows are in spec. They promised a factory rep would come out but that never happened. I don't believe I received energy star windows. Do not make the same mistake that I did. Use a reputable and experienced window contractor. You may pay a little more but believe me it will be worth it. read more

Once you sign up with Window World, the service goes down hill. When we signed with them and deposited half the amount they said once our windows were measured they would be installed roughly 6 weeks from then. Well, they were finally installed 2 weeks ago, 12 weeks after they measured. During our wait for the installation we called about 4 times wondering when they would be coming. All we ever got any time we called was a voice mail stating they would return our call as soon as possible. This was a joke. When the windows were installed, one of them was measured incorrectly so we had to order a replacement. The picture window they installed had a 14 inch scratch right in the middle. We mentioned the scratch to the installer and he said it just needed to be cleaned. It did not help. Again had to leave a message with Window World. I finally got through and they said they'd order another picture window asap. I called them and left a message asking how long it will take for the 2 new windows to come in and they have not returned our calls. I do not recommend this company. read more

I have used window world over the past 5 years, if not longer. The service and excuses are getting worse and worse. As a landlord/property owner I have to keep costs as low as possible and provide a quality product to tenants. I have always used WW. Unfortunately, this is going to change moving forward. I was in need of 4 windows. Installer was unable to complete job due to a mis-measured window. Furthermore the install was never completed on the 1st date. For whatever reason, the installer didn't install trim pieces that I paid for. IF I DIDN'T CHECK, it might not have been completed as he never told me . He had to come back to complete job. I am STILL waiting on the 4th mis-measured window do be installed (Ordered 9/2021 - this is 5/2022. ALWAYS HAVE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE, seems that office help is being replaced or leaves. I never, talk to the same person 2x and have to explain my situation every time! The "manager/supervisor is "always sick" and seems to leave everything up to the office workers to fix. IF I DO NOT CALL AND CHECK ON ORDER, YOU ARE PUT TO THE BACK OF THE LINE. Prices of their product have increased to point that I will pay just a little more for a better product. Ordered 25 Windows back in October of 2021 from WW of Buffalo. Was told that the 8-10 week turn around for production would be more like 10-12 weeks. I was OK with this however, by February I started leaving messages. Was called back and told windows would be finished in March with install in April. Install happened in June. 50% of cost was paid upfront so money was tied up for 8 months. On install day, I was told that they would not do the drip edge wrap. I called WW because I vaguely remember the sale rep saying that would be extra but was not detailed on the invoice. WW indicated that it was an upcharge just not detailed on the quote and gave a credit of $500. Also, I was told by the installer that I was charged for window stops and he would give me a credit since I didn't need those and they were in his van. Later on the installer was upset because apparently WW called him and asked why he wasn't doing the drip edge. The installer was then upset over the drip edge credit because it came off his payment from WW. He gave the impression I should have been happy with just that window stop credit. I cut the check as agreed after credits and wrote "paid in full". The installer was clearly upset with Window World and me as a customer. We did our final walk through and we both signed off on the contract as completed despite the windows not really being clean and sticker residue still on the windows which my wife and I ended up cleaning up on each one. The check marked "paid in full" was cash 2 business days later ( no indication on check "cash in protest" as I have the scanned image). We are now two weeks from the install completion and one week from the check clearing my account and now WW is taking back the credit on the deal saying I owe them. I waited 8 months for windows, couldn't get call backs from time to time on status and now I am caught in a tug of war between their contractor and WW. Feel mistreated the entire way and if I could tell everyone to not use them. They are an awful company. Not a good way to spend grands of dollars and being treated like a pariah. read more

We ordered two windows for a small house, not a palace or some mcmansion and the day of delivery my wife waited the entire day for the install. As of now, it's 4 pm, she's still waiting. Tried to call and talked to some girl who couldn't spell "birmingham" and dumped me into her managers voicemail. Really, terrible service. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. we ordered 8 windows on 10/31/15. there were not installed until early february 2016. when i complained about the long delivery time, i was told abruptly that they will only credit me $75. The installers, two very nice gentlemen, broke the shutters on the front of my house when installing the windows. 3 of the windows also came directly from the factory without screens installed. the installers advised that they would have the main office call me about the missing screens and to set up a time to come and replace my shutters. it's 2 weeks later and no one has called me. I have nothing nice to say about this company. My experience was terrible. I did not get the windows I was told and shown a photo of, it took longer than they said it would for them to come in, they had to cancel installation because of a truck breakdown and I wasn't called. I had to call them several more times to reschedule. After installation, trims were not done and I had to again call, call, call........got someone to come out and do the trim but am still missing a few, I GIVE UP!!!!! They explained the trims were not added to the invoice in error, which is why they weren't done, but that is not MY mistake. Once they made the sale, don't expect to hear from anyone.
