Alright, so Ingemar Anderson came out to the house on Saturday for Window World and I gotta say, dude knew his stuff. No BS, no pressure, no trying to upsell me on things I didn't need. He walked us through everything -- tempered glass, the silver oxide they spray on panel 2, all of it. He even FaceTimed a young lady (Sorry, am terrible with names) who showed us this big picture window with panels that slide on both sides. My wife and I had questions and every single one got a straight answer. Here's my favorite part though. Multiple times during the visit, Ingemar would look around and just go, "Yep, you need windows." I think he said it 3 or 4 times. I laughed every time. Every. Time. After we signed the contract he mentioned Window World also does siding and soffit. Which we're gonna need. Sneaky. I respect it. Now here's something the sales manager is gonna want to hear. Before this appointment I asked 3 AI models -- ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude -- what the top window company in San Antonio was. All three came back with Window World. Not one of them. All three. I thought I would do an update! Four months later my power bill is down thanks to my new windows from Window World. Lots of compliments and referrals to the neighbors. So glad I chose WW and had such great customer service from Dennis even after the sale. Still can't get over the neat and tidy job Saul and Luis did. I had this company come and replace the whole lower section of my house. I had the nicest man come and help me with it. Wish the owner had been just as nice. had problems with one window that couldn't closed after cleaning my windows. called it in, after a couple times. they sent someone and he kept forcing it to close and couldn't get it. he said he needed someone else to do it. the owners emailed me after I originally email why had not someone fixed it. the 2nd guy who couldn't fix it said it was owner eeeor and it was my fault. so it be on my dime. owner and I went back and forth, then had some errors on my info and purchase and malfunction of window. I corrected him, and then a very nice man, another came and fixed within 5 min. It was a faulty part. super easy fix and the 2nd guy made it worst. plus he didn't work there anymore, lack of knowledge! We had one of their representatives come out on February 20 for a quote on their Brickstone product. He discussed with us the options and measured the entire area we were considering using the product. He stated he would have a quote for us the following week. He never contacted us. My husband called the Window World office in San Antonio in March and spoke with their receptionist who seemed shocked their representative never contacted us. We chose to go the cheaper route and use Window World. I had a few issues with their process. The Project Manager tried to explain "retro fitting" ... to bad I'm in construction and know how to properly install new build and retro fit. They did not install properly. They are not sealed well. The jam broke on two windows, after I noticed one they came out and replaced both. The crew was nice, but hard to communicate with. They are good at cutting corners. I found quite a bit of trash in my yard. Including one of their T-shirts. Had to fish 3 pieces of cardboard out of my pool. I would highly recommend spend the money to use a better company. read more

Consumers need to know what they're getting in these windows. Window World is one of the worst decisions we've ever made in improving our home. They are unreasonable and deny anything is wrong. The owner will say they've done everything. Their solution is that we install new windows AGAIN, at our cost, with clear glass that is NOT up to code, or keep our green windows. That is the owner, Martin Bomba's, solution. $16K later this is what we have to show for it. See below and attached. If you want to use Window World and risk having a negative impact on the interior aesthetic of your home, use them. By all means, go with them. If you want windows that don't have weep holes in them, but edges that are cut out on the exterior of the window, causing the weatherproofing to get wet, use them. Go with Window World. Here's what happened to us and pictures attached: 1. We were sold a style of windows that were not what we got. Our current windows cast a sickly green and sometimes bright green hue in our home. 2. When we signed off on the windows, we had no time to see this green hue that is emitted throughout the rooms. Once they left, the next couple of days it was clear that no matter what time of day or what room, there was some level of green hue. 3. When they sent out their supervisor and the Regional Sales Manager of MI Windows (this is the manufacturer of Window World's windows) to deal with the issue, they literally denied seeing green even as they were looking at the green. 4. They agreed to replace two windows to see if the green went away. It did not. They also said the crude cut outs in the corners of our windows were "weep channels". What we were sold had weep holes, not "weep channels." Weep holes are tiny holes that are a part of the frame. This lets in water in the weather proofing. Buyer beware. I truly hope no one has to go through what we're going through. read more

I started my inquiry with good intentions however after several calls (more than 60) some up to 4 per minute from multiple number as early as 8 am and as late as 8:50 pm I have decided to take my business elsewhere. When I told the customer service agent why I wanted my number removed, they did not care. Find someone who will take the time, respect your privacy and work hours and give you a good product. My husband and I just finished fully remodeling a home. We worked with contractors of all kinds from multiple trades, and Window World was by far the least responsive and most challenging to work with. We were aware of delays, which plagued the construction industry, but Window World's lacked professionalism, empty promises, and communication gaps are why I'm leaving a 1-star review. I ordered windows on April 2 for our entire home. Our salesperson (Alex Deimal) explained there were delays, and while the typical turnaround was about six weeks, we could expect them closer to late June/early July. However, when I called in June for an update, I was told it would be September or October before our windows would arrive, and then I'd have to wait for an install date. This was quite shocking and caused multiple other delays for our project. At this point, my biggest frustration was that they knew our project timeline had more than doubled but didn't bother communicating that to us. When explaining how this had a domino effect on our project, I was told directly by a Window World employee I would be given credit to compensate for the construction delay costs we were incurring. That offer was later retracted by Ms. Rebecca Rowe, Vice President of Operations, stating that her employee shouldn't have made that promise. Soon thereafter, she stopped replying to my emails. I emailed and phoned Ms. Rowe throughout August with no reply. When I would call, I was told someone would "get back to me within 24 hours", but that never proved true. After windows were finally installed (late September) with missing handles and a damaged sash, I had to chase down a Window World employee again. Eventually, Matthew Bomba (Martin's brother) came out (12/1). He said he had been brought on board to help out with all the disgruntled customers. He walked my house and explained he would check on the damaged sash, broken handles and missing screens. In the end, it was another three months before my project was completed. I never received any kind of credit or discount as promised and was required to pay in full. From order submitted to project completion was 12 full months. To get a simple update was painful, and it took multiple attempts on my part to get information. Window World's communication was awful, and in general, their team members lacked professionalism. I do not recommend them for windows, gutters, doors or any other service they or the Bomba family provides. read more

I bought all my exterior windows and exterior doors from Window World of Texas in San Antonio. A week ago while I was washing the tilt out windows one of the windows slipped out of the clip that allows it to tilt out. I was unable to get it back in the clip and hold the window at the same time. I called Window World to ask for someone to come out and put the window back in the clip. After two phone calls they finally called me today and told me that there would be a service fee of $150. It is only 23 minutes from there business to my house. I told them I thought my windows were under warranty and they told me they are but we have to charge to come out there. I told them I thought that was a ridiculous fee and living on a fixed budget I could not pay that. I am very disappointed in their reply which was that my windows are over 5 years old. Sad that they promote that they stand by their windows but at a price. Last year I bought new screens from them and was told I should have paid $150 for the service fee then also but it was an oversight on there part. in the past I have referred friends to Windiw World but in the future I will refrain from doing so. I called one of their competitors and their service call is 1/3 the price. They will fix my window next week. i am very disappointed in Window World! read more

My mother purchased 3 windows on 6/15/2021. As of 9/4/2021 they are not even manufactured. After 5 months they still cannot give an install date. Due to her advanced age and declining health she is forced to sell the house and is sure to never have a good experience as the home owner. When I contacted Window World they very politely told me that the 50% cash she put down is non-refundable, the contract cannot be cancelled, and they have no obligation to speed up the install due to the terms of the contract. In my opinion these guys are 100% sales and 0% performance. read more

We ordered 11 new windows for a big screened in porch, and Danny Ball our salesman was very helpful and we really looking forward to the difference our new windows will make in our family room. Terrible experience. I ordered the windows one year ago. They arrived in the Fall of last year and half the windows were incorrectly made. I took off work, boarded my dogs for 2 days, and got a hotel. The salesman was not very apologetic and didn't offer to reimburse me for my time and expense with their mistake. I did not hear anything for a few months and then another mistake with the windows delayed them again and I had to drag it out of the salesman instead of him just apologizing about another delay. I called last month to get an update and no one contacted me the windows were ready. They installed them last month and there were still mistakes but at this point I am so disappointed with the customer service of this company I am going to live with the results. If you expect good customer service then stay away from this company. Such a disappointing experience. Shame on Window World for taking advantage of hard-working people. read more

What a farce. Ordered windows and paid half in March. Started calling in August. Delivered and installed November 23. Two were installed already broken, not the installers fault, and one didn't show at all. The process starts with a salesman. The salesman is only helpful until the sale is made. He is your pal till the check clears. After that, he denies everything he promised and says it is now someone else's problem. i was told to call Baton Rouge. I would rather call Dell support. More helpful and better communicators. The ship date was a moving target filled with excuses. I asked to speak with the CEO and was informed he didn't talk to customers. Apparently as special as they want you to believe the product is and as much as you are made to believe they build the window, they don't. And that becomes the fall guy. It's the manufacturer. Although they say they have their own installers they really have subs. Nice people, no English,a guy and his family with a truck. It appears Window World has a great deal. They order the windows that are paid for by the customer in advance then installed by a sub. Very little overhead and they don't own or manufacture anything. And forget about a refund. Asking will only get more empty promises. If you complain loud enough they will knock off about 10 percent. These windows can be bought from anyone. They are not special and the customer service certainly is not. Get several bids, choose them last. finally I am sitting in my living room this morning with mostly new windows and have to say it didn't help with the sound and if I had it to do again I would be tougher to deal with and ask a lot more questions. I have never posted a review on-line, either positive or negative. And it has taken weeks of procrastination before I finally sat down and put this one in writing. In the middle of 2021, while the pandemic was in full swing, I knew that it was time to replace the windows, French doors, and siding on my home. The windows and doors where forty years old and the siding was rotting on the north side. This was a huge investment for me, and I spent several weeks interviewing potential Companies and planning how to pay for the improvements. After a lot of consideration, I decided on Window World to complete the work. They were not the cheapest or the most expensive. But I felt like there presentation was the most professional and that they were large enough to trust. On July 29, 2021 I gave them a deposit of $16,904.31 to order materials for the job. About two weeks later I was contacted by the salesperson and told that the color that I had selected for the siding was discontinued and that I would have to reselect. I knew that with everything that was going on that I would have to be patient. But I didn't feel like things were off to a good start. After about six months I began to become nervous because I hadn't heard a word from Window World. I finally contacted them around January of 2022. I was told that they expected the materials soon but that they didn't know when they would have installers. In February they were finally ready to begin the work. This is when the real problems began. First a large window for the kitchen was not the size that I had requested. I was told that they could reorder the window but there was no telling how long it would take for it to come in. Then I was told that one set of French doors was defective and would have to be reordered but they could temporarily use the defective set. There were lots of other little minor things along the way. The next major concern was when the installers asked me to fill out a form evaluating their work and stating that I was happy with the finished product. It looked to me that there was at least a week's worth of work to be completed based on what was done. But the contractors insisted that they would be done the next day and that since it was the end of the month, if they didn't submit the form that day then they would have to wait another month to get paid for the job. I reluctantly filled out the form but clearly stated that the job was not complete and that my satisfaction would be determined once everything was finished. Sure enough, it took a week for them to be done. I contacted Widow Word to discuss what was to be done about the defective door and the remaining balance, and we agreed that I would withhold $1,600 until the door was reinstalled. I gave the installers another check for $15,304.30. Less than a week later, I came home to find two pieces of the newly installed flashing hanging from the front of the house. I remember wishing that I had saved the Window World sign that had been sitting in my yard for a month so that I could tape it to the dangling metal. After several calls and emails, Window World finally sent someone to replace the flashing. A couple of weeks later when it got cool enough to open windows I noticed that the safety latches on the kitchen widow were installed upside down but I decided to wait until I heard back about the defective door to address that problem. And that was the last that heard from Window World for several months until the original salesperson emailed me to find out what was up with the door. Apparently he had not been paid for part of his commission and no one had communicated with him about the situation. Keep in mind that at no point had he contacted me to find if the work went well and if I was satisfied. I thought that this conversation with this salesperson would get things going with the defective door but I didn't hear back from Window World again until February 10, 2023, when they contacted me stating that their records show that owed them a balance $16,904.31. This included a $359.77 donation to St. Jude's that I knew nothing about. I wrote back stating that they need to communicate with their salesperson and their installer because A. the job is still not completed; and B. they are missing the second payment that I gave the installer. Apparently, they found the check and I was contacted about the defective door and told replacement parts would be ordered. On March 7th I discovered another piece of the flashing had fallen off the house. When I walked around the house to check out the rest of the flashing, I found two or three pieces that are loose and likely to fall off. So I contacted Window World to find out what was going on with the door. I was told that it had shipped and should be in within a week. In addition, we talked about the defective window and the falling flashing. I was told that it would all be corrected. It is now April 2, 2023 and read more
