The owner said, 30 cents for a bag. I said, no thanks I'll manage. It's not about the money but.... Am I supposed to put a 30 cent charge on my card after I've already checked out? Instead of making a positive impression and maybe gaining a new regular customer, he lost my business forever for trying to make a few pennies on a bag that cost him next to nothing. With all the hate in the world, you'd think he'd be trying to make more friends instead of enemies. Take a lesson from Stew. Customer service is job 1. I won't return.

I have been shopping at BevMax for as long as I have lived in Bridgeport. BevMax has never disappointed me, and I can always find what I need (even if they've moved it around.) The staff is always friendly and helpful, even entertaining. I've often called ahead to see how much of something they had on hand (if I was going to/throwing a big party) and they are always happy to set a quantity aside for me until I get there. If it's a large order, like a case of wine, one of the guys always helps me carry it out to the car. (It's not that long of a walk, and I'm a strong lady...) Now that's service! There's on site parking, which is a HUGE bonus, especially in that area. Sometimes the clientele is a little bit sketchy, but that's part of why I go there. Entertainment! ;)
