This is a post about the Jr department sales clerk, GAIL, who took it upon herself to negate my price adjustment/return today with her poor attitude and condescending words. A few weeks ago, I purchased several jr clothing items off the clearance rack for $1.99 and noticed the price marked IN RED on the ticket did not reflect on my receipt. 5 pairs of Wallflower overalls all rang up $1.99 except one pair and so, I stopped by the EASTON store to address it with the clerk, GAIL. I explained what happened and the first words out of her mouth were "these are Wallflowers and they never get reduced" followed by "there's no way to give you a price adjustment without seeing ALL the other wallflower overalls", followed by "why do you want to see a manager, she's going to tell you the same thing", followed by "there's nothing we can do" followed by "we don't ink the price in RED" blah, blah, blah. In the meantime, the department manager watched her and let her treat a GOOD customer in this manner and wouldn't share HER name because she didn't say anything wrong!! Who allows this clerk to treat customers this way? The asst mgr arrived and made the price adjustment but not w/o squaring it with the dept mgr first. Unacceptable, GAIL. You need a refreshment course in customer service and interactional training to better address a complaint with a customer.

The sales assistants are so nice and friendly. Here's a tip, ask if there are additional sizes in the back. I was able to purchase 3 additional pieces I really liked by asking. I love their clothing and although full price is kinda pricey, the sales are incredible. The store is well laid out. Nice assortment of clothing - casual and dressy. They limit the number of customers in the store at one time so if you open the door and check they will wave you in or ask you to wait. Overall I was extremely happy with my shopping experience. I am not a regular shopper at White House Black Market but I think i might visit more often since I've been pleasantly surprised each time I went.

Needed some semi-formal dresses for an upcoming vacation and thought they'd have what I needed. They did, and with a 50%+ off sale, I was able to get them at an affordable price! For $60-$80 per dress, they were a good value. At the original $190/dress, they were overpriced. The sales gal was more than patient with me, actually bringing me more and more dresses to try on despite not asking her too. One of the two I purchased were ones that she brought to me. They are a great place for helping you put together a full outfit (shoes, jewelry, etc).

First of all, they respected my desire to find a few outfits. It took quite awhile for me (as it always seems to this is just something about me). The service was outstanding. The clothing at Chico's is somewhat expensive in my opinion. For me, I appreciate the discounts and promotions - and they are substantial. Everything on sale, and I had a coupon. I was ready to purchase many items needed for an upcoming trip. I nicely asked the 2 salespeople at the desk if I could make an even exchange on an item (with ALL tags in tact) that I needed in a smaller size. One woman said "I'm not the manager, and you have to ask the manager", who was standing directly beside her! The manager was eating a sandwich as she looked at me in a very condescending manner. She asked me to repeat my request. I nicely repeated my request (even though I knew she heard me, but I also work in retail, so I wanted to be gracious). As she continued eating her sandwich behind the service desk, right out in the open, the manager tells me she cannot accommodate me. All while holding her hand up in front of her mouth as she spoke and did not even use a napkin. The manager said she will only accept a return within 2-3 days. (Like what??) I thanked them and then immediately left because I just could not stand to give my money to that store after this interaction. The manager took another bite of her lunch (like use your employee room to eat your food!) and didn't even look up at me again. These women were beyond uninviting and rude! No wonder the store was empty with zero customers.
