    Mini golf
    William V.

Came today for mini golf but there is much more to offer. Batting cages, golf, some type of golf with a soccer ball, go carts, and more. We have been here before and like the mini golf and go-carts. Mini golf is kind of basic. There are 2, 18 hole courses. If you are looking at both do the one on the right. The left one is much easier and more basic. The one on the right had a few more hills and turns to the holes. Good for beginners and kids. Last time I went on the go-carts. Had a lot of few. There was a little bumping and no one said anything. Just a little harmless fun. The 2 seater cart was fun for parent and kid. I really want to try the soccer golf. It looks like it would be a fun game to play.

    Footgolf!!!

I had a very pleasant experience at Windy Hill. There's a lot going on there: - a golf course - a par 3 golf course - a footgolf course - putt putt - go karts My intention was to do a nine hole extravaganza at footgolf but after a minor car accident earlier this week I was left watching my biz partner kick away. It was a little wet out there but one of the golf course managers apologized for the wetness and provided my biz partner a free pass to come out and play again. After the nine holes he asked us some feedback and how they can improve. I thought it was a nice touch. Footgolf you might ask? Soccer + golf = footgolf. You kick a soccer ball on a golf course to a much bigger hole in the ground. You play it just like golf. We had a few minutes to kill before our next meeting so we did 18 holes of putt putt golf. There wasn't a clown mouth or a windmill but this simple design was very challenging. For a golf course they had some pretty good food. Burgers at a golf course are ALWAYS good. Why, I don't know but they are. And their prices were quite reasonable. Not a bad one stop shop for the family!

Extremely very poor "greens". The tees are not great as well. However, it is a very nice club and staff.

The pace of play is crazy and management has no interest in helping. they treated us like we were the problem.

Our team spent the night getting turned down by the staff and had to eat at the separate buffet. This is rude and unnecessary. Events like this should be open to everyone. And it's only more revenue for the club, so what's the big deal. If this is just a hint of how this club operates, you can certainly count me out and you should consider it as well. Please address this "non-inclusive" aspect for future events.

With an abundance of balls for the driving range and putting area for practice, it is a great place to come and work on your swing with members. We did a round of golf- with golf carts- and felt the country club really put to use all of their funds in a very positive way. there are three different options for playing a round of golf; we chose the Madison. As newbies to the country club we were not sure where to go however thanks to the golf cart which had an interactive map we knew exactly where the holes were, the distance from tee to green, and handicap. It also allowed us to keep score electronically as opposed to doing it manually on paper. Each hole had a great challenge, but what impressed me the most was how well-kept and manicured each hole was. You can tell that they do a very great job in keeping up with everything. It looks spectacular. everything is Walmart any golf cart paths are paved well. After around of golf we went into the clubhouse to grab a drink post game. The staff was very friendly and offered up options and suggestions for Ustinov enjoy. After our quick drink inside we moved outside to the patio for a quick bite to eat. One of our friends had the fried cod and fries, which he said he enjoyed. My fiancé enjoyed A sandwich as did I. The beers were delicious and the wine was spectacular. Our meal was fairly priced at about $8 to $10 a plate, which we thought was more than reasonable. Overall very impressed and would recommend others joining this country club if they were looking for a great place to go.

If they speak that way openly I'd hate to hear what they say behind closed doors. I was also delighted (sarcasm) by the police officer banging on my window as I was seated in my car, engine running and lights on, putting an address into Google Maps. Apparently I, or rather my thirteen year old vehicle, looked "suspicious" in the parking lot amongst the gleaming steel beauties worth double my annual salary. "Sorry Sir. I was just trying to figure out how to get back to my hovel in the shire with the rest of the poors."

Also a nice gentleman pointed me in the right direction. Thankfully I made my tee time after another 10 minute drive. Played the Tuckahoe Creek course and it was beautiful. Heard it had a facelift recently. I usually use a spot or an imperfection in the grass ahead of my ball to line up and I had a little trouble doing that here. Absolutely perfect conditions. The course is relatively open off the tee but the approach shots can be tricky with certain pin locations. Relatively flat so if I ever get invited to play it again I will try and walk. Driving range, putting green, and chipping green/bunker area are also top notch. I could spend a long time practicing here without getting bored. The only thing I'll say is the putting green and Tuckahoe Creek greens are different. I could be wrong but the practice green was bent grass and super fast, but the course greens seemed like Bermuda and slower. I had trouble adjusting. Having a very affordable snack shop right in the middle of the practice area is perfect as well. Pro shop is well stocked and the staff was very nice. Only issues were I wish they gave more help to the guy running the tournament, especially afterwards. Usually a pro or two help out but no one seemed to stick around. One guy was trying to help with pace of play but I didn't see many others doing the same. Needless to say a 5.5 hour round is ridiculous. I hear the James River Course is even better. They play a PGA Champions Tour event there and have heard nothing but good things. I would love to get an invite there but won't hold my breath. Can't wait to come back here!

Very intimate setting, and hostess was welcoming. Service, however, was extremely disappointing. We were greeted initially, but as the night went on, the service went downhill. My husband asked for lemons for his water a total of 4 times, and we finally received them AFTER we had finished our meal. His water glass also remained empty for 3/4 of our meal, after asking for a refill twice. It still took 10 minutes to get him water. I had a Coke - never was asked if I wanted a refill. Food was disappointing. I ordered the filet cooked medium, and it came back black and blue. My husband ordered the cowboy ribeye cooked medium rare +, and it came back almost raw. We both sent them back, and had to repeat this process over again, as mine was still black and blue. They cooked my same filet 3 times, so it came back nearly in pieces and the outside was completely charred. Very disappointed in management also. We have dined at many nice steak houses, and even several Ruth's Chris locations, and we have never experienced this terrible of service. We are always down to pay extra for a nice meal -- we would never ask for anything to be comped. But a fresh steak after having to send it back twice would've been appreciated. We eventually decided on no dessert, we just wanted to leave. So we ask for the check, and it took at least 20 minutes to receive that. Meanwhile, our server is serving drinks to several surrounding tables. This was overall a terrible experience. We will not be returning. This is my first review on yelp, as I and my husband are not ones to complain about restaurants. But seeing we just spent a pretty penny for VERY disappointing service and food, wanted to save someone else the trouble.

I don't always order steak here because their stuffed chicken is so good. It's one of my favorite dishes on the menu. I'm also a huge fan of the mac and cheese, and honestly, I've yet to order anything that disappointed me. If you do go for a steak, it's usually seasoned well, flavorful, and cooked correctly. The drinks are another reason I keep coming back. Their bartenders know what they're doing, and every cocktail I've tried has been excellent. At this point, I'm officially becoming a regular. One of my favorite times to visit is during happy hour. The prices are more affordable, and I'll usually order a Caesar salad, mac and cheese, and a cocktail. It's one of the best happy hour spots if you're looking for a more upscale experience without paying full dinner prices. The atmosphere is exactly what I want from a steakhouse. It has the feel of a classic luxury hotel with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and enough space between the tables that you don't feel like you're dining with the people next to you. The service is consistently excellent, the location is convenient, and the overall experience always feels polished. Overall, I'd give Ruth's Chris a 9.5/10. Great food, great drinks, excellent service, and an atmosphere that keeps me coming back. It's one of the few restaurants in Richmond where I know I'm going to leave happy every time.
