This store is a real wine store not just like any Mom and pop store. The varieties I find is amazing. Previously, I had to run around to different locations as some items are not being carried by a store and I had to waste time. This is the best store as only this store has many many varieties of wines, spirits and even beer. The staff was quite professional and person name Raj recommended me few good wines which was quite palatable. I saw the prices were too good as compared to other stores. Very neat and clean store. No boxes are put outside as in other stores. The wine is same but the way it was organized shows they do not only sell the wine but a good expression for the love of wine. I saw there were kegs too which I do not see in most of the stores. And here comes the fine wine room. I have never seen this beautiful wine room like this ever before. Dazzling marble floor with nice chandelier, light music with place to sit. This room is really mesmerizing! I asked them if we can rent for parties but they said you can just enjoy when there is wine tasting event. They said for sitting with opening wine/spirits of you choice, they have opened a new lounge named Le Malt in colonia woodbridge. He gave me a brochures of that restaurant and I can't wait to go there with my husband when he comes from tour. At the end I would say you must visit this store. I was hesitant given the negative reviews to order online but am very satisfied with the experience. Ordered 2 bottles of Ron Zacapa XO and saved $25 a bottle. I ordered 2 bottles of expensive Cognac, spent $1,122 and a week later I am calling them to find out my order was cancelled because of some excuse that they can't get the product , yet they charged my card before they had the cognac, now I still don't have my credit back and no one seems to know anything, I was forced to call my bank and chargeback the transaction because this company was unwilling or unable to just do their job. DO not order from them online. had an order in for a very special German bottle that I found on their online store, when I reached out to Customer Service, was told by their CS agent Andy it would ship that same day if not tomorrow ( mind you I ordered it 11 days in advance and chose wine chateau since their website said they had it in stock ), when delivery date came around was told it had not shipped. I asked Andy why they had lied, he simply said " we go based on what the supplier tells us". I didnt purchase this from your supplier, I purchased it from you and I expect clear and concise communication, or at the very least an honest response to my delivery day requests. Do not be fooled into thinking that this is anything other than a run of the mill liquor store. They call it Wine Chateau, trying to make you think they know something about wine. I shopped on their website to find a specific vintage of a specific label of Oregon pinot noir. It was listed, I emailed to confirm that they had it, "Andy" the online customer support representative, confirmed that they did. It looked like this would be a great experience, just drive over and pick it up from stock. When I drove to the store, I asked the checkout girl where I would find Oregon wines. Her exact words were "I wanna say they're in aisle 4 or aisle 5". In other words, she had no clue. So I looked in aisles 4 and 5, and not surprisingly, they were not there. So I said "what's your next guess?". She called out to a Hispanic stock boy, calling him "Amigo", and he came over to "help". When I asked him for Oregon wines, he took me to the organic wine section. Three times I said to him "Oregon, not organic", and he just smiled and pointed to the organic wines. I next encountered a well dressed guy with lots of jewelry who appeared to be a manager of some sort. He was able to direct me to the Oregon wines (I counted three in total), but they did not have the vintage I was looking for. When I told him that "Andy" from customer service said they had it in stock, we went to the checkout area, where he started searching the inventory on the computer, telling me "we probably keep it in the warehouse, I can get it brought over". He searched and couldn't find what I wanted. He tried calling a few people on the phone, none of whom answered. Finally I just told him to forget the whole thing. Shopping online at their very nice looking site, then going to the very nicely built out store and dealing with the "help" yielded nothing. It's just a fancy looking but nothing special liquor store. WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM WINE CHATEAU! I wish I had read these reviews first because I'm living through the same issues as others have. I bought $300 worth which was shipped in two cartons via FedEx. FedEx had broken one or more bottles in one of the cases. FedEx returned it before I ever saw it and that certainly wasn't WC's fault. But the problem is that for two weeks now I've been trying to get WC to ship the balance of the order or to at least let me know the status of that order. This was for a party and I had to go out and buy these missing items. Every time, they give excuses and promise to email or in the last case to actually call me back. They never do and I doubt they'll do so for you if you buy. They confirmed that they received the return from FedEx and the customer service people are polite. Ordered a case of Cline Mourvedre received a case of Cline Zinfandel. They seem to have a real problem.

I placed order on 4-4-18. I was told the product was in stock. After a week I never recieved shipping info so I did the online chat with customer service on 4-11. I was told sorry for the delay and that it would ship out that day and I would recieve email notification. I didn't. Two days later I call customer service on 4-13. They tell me they had to order it from a different supplier and it would be shipped by Tues morning and if I don't recieve an email by Tuesday the 24th to call back. I don't receive anything. I call Tues as instructed and then i am told the delivery is scheduled for Wed the 18th and my order would ship on Thursday. Again, I recieve no email confirmation. I call Friday the 20th and am told they placed the order and it will be in the following Wed the 25th..Although the people are friendly this place is terrible. I did not ask, but I was never offered any discounts or real corrections on the order. 16 days, multiple phone calls and stories. Order Cancelled. Will not order from again read more

Received the return label but never the correct shipment. I returned the wrong items and made another call and was told they were not sure what happened but would ship the correct items out ASAP. Ordered online, paid for 2nd shipping. I had an old friend coming into town at the last minute and know they like a particular wine. Ordered on a Sunday, thinking I would have by Wednesday. Boy was I wrong! They didn't ship until Tuesday, putting a damper on my surprise for my friends. When it finally arrived, I had no use for it since I do not care for this particular wine. Absolutely one of the worst experiences I've ever had regarding customer 'service'. I ordered two separate times from them. The first time we were notified via automated phone call from FED Ex that the wine would be delivered on 6/24/11 it was for a wedding reception, waited all day no wine. Finally showed up 4 days later. Figured it was a glitch - ordered again on 7/20/11 and was notified on 7/22 again via FED EX wine would be delivered that day...stayed home all day and guess what no wine. So I contacted FED EX and was given a story that when Wine Chateau initiates the printing of the delivery label it generates a delivery date...huh? Why would it not be scanned when it was actually picked up. So I contact Wine Chateau, tell them of the issues and was told that they would look into the matter and get back to me...several days later, I contacted Andy Puri the Customer Service Manager and relayed the story again and was told by him since it was 'free shipping' there is nothing they can do for me. Didn't even address the point about the issues with wasting two days for us waiting for a non delivery. I asked Andy why they were not concerned with delivery notification screw ups and he told me FED EX NEVER calls for wine delivery...I said no, they do. He basically called me a liar...so I took photo's off our caller id clearly showing FED EX called our house and at the time and date I had previously told Wine Chateau reps that they did. Needless to say, we will NOT BE ORDERING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Apparently their business is so good they do not care to try and assist their customers when there is an issue. And don't all of us use online ordering for the convenience? It is most definitely NOT convenient to have your entire day wasted waiting for deliveries that do not show up when indicated. Placed order on the 10th - not shipped, I called the 17th and was told item #3 was out of stock, holding up entire order. I asked to have the other items shipped and was promised it would go out the 18th. Checked on the 19th and order still not shipped. This time I was told item #2 is out of stock, holding up the order. Been ordering from Winechateau.com for over a year. When it works, they are great. However, their delivery estimates are grossly inaccurate. When you run into one of their inaccurate deliveries, it becomes a lesson in frustration. I call the customer service and they give me an updated estimate that inevitably ends up incorrect. Promises of a call back are never fulfilled. Even records of me calling are sometimes left out. And this has happened to me on several orders. The only reason I gave them so many chances was because finding an online spirit site that will delivery to my state is time consuming. I am completely baffled by my experiences here. After looking for a wider selection of craft beers I ended up checking The Wine Chateau out. Like many of the other reviewers, I will say that the store is immaculate (which is refreshing), the beer selection is great, but every time I go I have an issue with pricing. The past few times I've gone, picked out a 12-bottle variety pack with one price listed in the fridge--yet when I bring it to the counter they "don't have it in the system" and end up charging me a good amount more than the price I had originally seen listed on the shelf. Really. Three times I've gone to pick up a variety pack and each time the same experience...I've never had this happen before, which is why I'm so frustrated and led me to write a review. I even offered to walk back to the fridge to grab the sticker, when the gentleman told me that the listed price was "wrong" and "for a six pack, not a twelve". I give up on this place, go check out Brian's Wine and Liquor Emporium--it has character, but the pricing is true and you'll be in and out with no issues. read more

I ordered some vodka and had it shipped to a friend in California. I placed the order on 12/19, it was picked up by Fed Ex on 12/20 and as of 12/30 the shipment still hadn't made it's way out of New Jersey....and that's where Wine Chateau is based!! I finally had to call Fed Ex and change the delivery address because the recipient would no longer be at home to sign for the delivery. Well, someone at Fed Ex didn't submit the address change and they tried to deliver it anyway. Now it's delayed another two days at least. I told Fed Ex that I want to be refunded the $16.00 shipping charges but of course they tell me to call Wine Chateau. The customer support at WC was no help at all and only wanted to point fingers at Fed Ex. I agree that this is Fed Ex's screw up, but I am Wine Chateau's customer. If a customer experiences problems at any point in the transaction, even those caused by a third party, then a true customer-oriented company would step in to make it right. read more
