I ordered a box of 6 bottles because liquor stores were closed due to covid. After 35+ days (which is more than enough time), I was wondering where is my liquor? Liquor stores are open again and i still have not received my order from wine chateau. i called customer service and all they told me was that it was delivered and someone signed. BUT I've been in quarantine for 2.5 months, INSIDE my apartment. Nobody delivered anything. The lady on the phone had no idea how to resolve this issue and said that she would call me back. I am still waiting...(i doubt she will call back and i will probably lose out on more than $150 dollars because they are incompetent. update** after i waited 4 hours, they never called back. I called them back and they just leave me there, not saying a word. I hang up and call again. They pick up but do not say anything. They wait until i hang up. This is horrible. I ordered 4 bottles of alcohol that were in stock. After the order, the only thing I got was a thank you email. I found that odd, but figured I'd give it a few days. After a week with no confirmation email and no shipping email, I started to contact them. I tried every week for a month. Finally, I went to PayPal and submitted it to them with all of the details for a refund. Once PayPal got involved, I received the 3 out of 4 bottles within 4 days of PayPal going after a refund. The 4th bottle finally came 2 weeks after that. I honestly think if I hadn't paid with PayPal and them asking questions to the company for my refund, I wouldn't have received anything. I sent three emails asking for the status of my order. The first one received a canned reply, and the next two were not answered. I called them twice, and they did not answer the phone. One of my favorite liquor stores around my neighborhood. The varieties are great and almost endless.the place is clean and well organized so it's much easier to spot what you are looking for. If you are looking for something specific, I would check this place out first. The one thing I love is that they carry Japanese beers. Not much places around me here carries Japanese or Chinese beer. Another thing i love is, the price is right. I've been purchasing one type of wine I like very much and I've been to several liquor stores to purchase this one. This wine originally would go for $13 and I've been to stores selling it for as much as $15 to $16. This place sells their liquor at the right price. They also have collectibles and limited editions. I plaed an order online. I am really enjoying the 2018 Barone Montalto Pinot Grigio. However, I was not at all happy that Wine Chateau does not provide a tracking number for purchases. And then I was especially unhappy with a solicitation that came via my association wth Wine Chateau that seemed to be the avenue by which Wine Chateau would provide customers with tracking information. This place is a joke. I Made a order on January 2. Got a shipping confirmation on January 8th. I ordered 2 bottles of wine. Paid $20 shipping. When my order arrived on everything was fine until I opened the box and seen they sent me the wrong wine. I emailed their website and it took a few days to get a response. I sent screenshots of the picture of the wine on their website showing the bottle says puglia on it but that wasn't good enough. I was then told he did not see the name puglia on the bottle. Okay so fix your mistake right. Ha nope. The guy stopped responding to me so now I'm stuck with 2 bottles of wine that I did not order on top of a $20 shipping fee. The website is seedy and spammy in a carnival wrestling booth sort of way. It is littered with all sorts of pop up coupons and "spin the wheel" variety games of chance. If you leave your product in the cart long enough, you'll get coupon offers by the myriad. These coupons must be carefully employed or you might end up spending more than original discounts given at checkout. The website had a difficult to find champagne that cost $30 more than I had paid from a previous retailer, but I was happy to pay it, having not seen the wine in years. Otherwise, if you want to pay first growth bordeaux prices, for third growth bordeaux wines, this is the place for you. $250 plus shipping for 2010 Dom Pérignon? My local grocery store sells it for $179 with 10% 4 or more. I simply do not know how they justify these prices. I returned a 2005 Duhart-Milion for which I had paid $230. This is my go- to spot when shopping for wine and spirits! I head here often to fill up my bar at home or to grab some nice wine and beer for a night in with some friends. The staff: The staff here at the wine chateau is excellent. I always catch the manager walking around keeping things tidy and organized (I believe his name is Raj, very friendly and knowledgeable of what he is selling, great GM). Everyone working here really knows their wines inside and out, Im always learning something new every time I walk in. They are quick to help, but not too pushy, and never fail to help me get the best deals. Ambiance: Always very clean and well stocked. Everything is organized in a very simple way and nothing is difficult to find on my own. The selection: Incredible selection of all wine, beer, and spirits. There are a few favorite wines that I have and the Wine Chateau is the only place I know I will find them for sure. They never let me down when I'm picking up some fun/ new beer for my husband, or getting together a selection of wines for an evening party. One of the best parts is the prices! I have yet to find a wine and spirit shop near me that has prices even close to the Wine Chateau's. Overall a very well managed and beautiful establishment. This review is long overdue. I ordered from Wine Chateau numerous times both to my home in Westchester and to my Summer House on Fire Island. Every delivery (some of which were as large as six cases of wine and spirits) not only arrived sooner than I anticipated, but the customer support kept me in the loop every step of the way. For example, if one bottle out of a larger order was not available to ship at the same time as the rest of the order, Gary, one of their great customer service reps, would call me and ask if it was okay to send the order separately so as to expedite delivery. THAT IS BEYOND AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! They preemptively anticipate what will make you happy and go above and beyond what is necessary to do that. For my dozens of orders with them, I have never once been disappointed. Aside from the exemplary customer support and shipping, their selection and prices are outstanding. As a hobby, I greatly enjoy mixology and am delighted when I find spirits here that I can find nowhere else online (or when I do, for a price anywhere nearly as low as at Wine Chateau). They enabled me to make many tiki drinks over multiple Summers on the beach thanks to their incredible selection and great prices. Their online inventory is not accurate. My second order, after a week with no contact, I had to contact them and ask if my order had shipped. Turns out nothing was actually in stock and one of the wines was discontinued. They apparently were just never going to contact me about that...the manager did provide an alternative at a discounted price, but then when that shipped they messed up the order and sent 1/3 of the case with the wrong wine. Great selection of all types of liquors, wines, champagnes and beers. The prices are reasonable and they offer the ability to gain points as a member of the place. I placed an order with Wine Chateau and never received my order or any communications regarding my order. I emailed them twice about my order and received no response. I opened a case through PayPal and requested a refund since I could get nowhere with the seller. Wine Chateau responded IMMEDIATELY. They lied and said that the order was packed and ready to ship but I cancelled the order so they deducted a chargeback fee. If my order was ready, why didn't they communicate that to me by replying to the TWO emails I sent? Wouldn't it make more sense to keep the $224 order, rather than issue a refund? They basically stole $75 from me. After looking up reviews of this place, I see that many people have had negative experiences. I wish I had read the reviews first. I hope my review saves someone the trouble of being scammed. They must be desperate for money or just nasty beings. Avoid Wine Chateau. They do dirty business. read more

Excellent prices and wide selection, layout is easy to navigate with wide aisles and good lighting. Employees are knowledgable and nice, and there is a rewards card!
