Our server was incredibly friendly and quick to respond. Perfect evening to sit by the warm fire. Our drinks were great including the Aperol Spritz and the Strawberry Mojito which I liked better. What a great little spot in downtown. Wine Social is a cozy wine bar located downtown Lake Orion. You can find parking on the street and if you stay late enough, you'll be delighted to see the exterior of the place light up with purple lights. I love coming to sit outside on the patio that over looks the fire pit and park that sits next to a beautiful waterfall. In the summertime, you'll find local artists performing at the park. Wine Social even has live music that's really relaxing. Too. I ordered the Hesketh Sauv Blanc which is my go-to drink. They offer a host of delicious wines from all over the world. I absolutely love this place! Service is good and the people that work here are easy going just like the atmosphere. I definitely recommend if you're in the area and are looking for a relaxed and cozy atmosphere or a even for date night! read more

We love love love this place!! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The wine is delicious even though sometimes they are out of some of the wine on their menu. The atmosphere on the patio is lovely and they have enough umbrellas for those who prefer shade. While they have no food, they do allow you to carry in your own food and sit at their establishment and eat it. For example, right across the street is a restaurant you could place a carry out order while you are having your wine, then run across the street to pick it up and bring it to Wine Social to eat it there. We have been there many times, and each time we enjoy it. If you like wine and a more relaxed environment, stop in for a glass. read more

This place is adorable! Sitting on the corner of Main, this Wine bar has prime location. Overlooking the city park below, water rushes by from the nearby river. It is simply beautiful. We stopped in here on Saturday following the Michigan Football game. We had a special win to celebrate and I was the one buying! He chose a yummy cocktail and I had one of my favorite Pinot Noir wines, Belle Glos. We both headed out to the patio area to enjoy the last few days of sun. He doesn't like to be cold, but the firepit area heated up the entire patio and the sun was out.....can you say perfect! It truly was a beautiful afternoon and we enjoyed spending it together. I came here for the first time tonight with a Wine meetup - the Wine Warriors. It is a cute somewhat little place. It is really easy to find and parking nearby is plentiful. Luckily, so far Lake Orion, you do not pay to park. Though on the main road, or at least the one that Wine Social is on is 2 hour parking. This is definitely a wine lovers treat. There is 2 pages of wine to choose from and the listing includes all varieties and wine from all locations. I had 2 different white wines. When I asked our waitress which was better between 2 different wines for my second glass, she informed me that they were out of the other choice. The wine listing describes the main notes of the wine. We had a long table and only waitress but she made sure to keep everything straight. When I got there I was informed that I needed to give a card. Which makes sense. She was able to keep everyone straight as I cashed out at the same time as someone else. The air movement was not great but it was something that was manageable. I will definitely be back. read more

Unbelievable. $42 for 4'drinks! 2 tito at $7 each and 2 captain morgans at $14 each because they were tall!! As in extra coke and not extra alcohol. This place has potential to be amazing. I love the wine selection and our server Steve (I'm 90% on the name) was able to help us decide on what wine to get - very knowledgeable. Service was very prompt and friendly for a Friday night. They mention the option to bring your own food or get it ordered in from another restaurant, but they didn't mention they had a cheese tray or chocolate board. Now this may be because the cheese tray was weak, but I'm not sure. We saw someone else had one and decided to order it. The cheese tray had two types of cheese - a goat cheese rolled in berries and another type I couldn't identify (small slivers). It had a few small olives and a couple crackers. For being a wine bar I definitely expected more even if when you aren't going there for dinner. I'd come back here though. It was casual and reasonably priced. read more

Tonight is my first visit to Wine Social for a pre-defined Wine tasting. The atmosphere was great and I enjoyed the appetizer pairings. I was a little disappointed in the Wine tasting itself. Wine was served in plastic cups and we were asked to reuse cups for certain wines. It was a bit loud and difficult to hear the descriptions of the various bottles. If I were to visit again, I would hope for proper glasses and a microphone for the sommelier. Otherwise a great place and good service. read more

This wine bar has a good atmosphere. I was there during a dueling piano night and really enjoyed it. There is a good selection of wines and other alcoholic drinks. They do not serve meals, only cheese boards. I gave 4 stars because both times I have been to the wine social I was not happy with my servers. A couple of friends and I went here the other night for some drinks and one of them got really sick and had to use the bathroom. He was in there for about 10-15 minutes and I was standing outside the door talking to him to make sure he was ok and seeing if he was ok to leave. One of the workers there stormed up to me and started cussing me out and yelling at me saying he was going to call the cops on us because my friend was taking up the bathroom. I felt VERY threatened and very scared because this very tall and aggressive man got right in my face and was shouting at me (a 5'4" 21 year old girl)! Right after that my friend and I went back to our table to pay our checks and leave when the same man came up to us and started yelling and cussing us out again in front of the entire restaurant! He was shouting at us to "get the f**k out of here" "I want you f***ing gone", while we were already trying to leave, we were trying to pay our bills. He was very rude, very aggressive, and I felt very unsafe around him. We were cooperating and trying to be understanding, and leave right away, but he needlessly humiliated my friends and I in front of the whole restaurant twice. I understand being upset about your bathroom being occupied for a longer period of time, but his behavior was uncalled for. I also want to express that every other employee we interacted with was extremely kind and very friendly. Many other employees came up to me and my friends to reassure us that we were fine and that people can get sick and it's not a big deal and that we were ok, but his actions and aggressions overshadowed their extreme kindness. Because of this man I will never be giving the Wine Social my business again. read more
