I have never really gotten anything bad at Huey's ad the service is always good. I absolutely love their spinach and artichoke. Dip. I also love their soups. My wife and I stopped in before a show. I started out with the soup of the day. It was a white bean with chicken and chili. I know that don't sound great....lol...But let me tell you that was a very good soup. It had a very unique flavor. My wife got her usual steak on a stick. She said it was very tender and flavorful. She also got a order of The Onion rings. If you like the big onion rings, you can't go wrong. I got the Reuben sandwich and onion straws. It was hands down one of the best Reuben's I've had in quite some time. I highly recommend Southaven Huey's. if you want a good meal for a good price you can't go wrong here. Oh, and be sure to try the soup of the day you won't be disappointed. The inside is always very nice and clean. They have lived music occasionally and a full bar. It's just an all around fun place to go in my opinion.

Hot fresh and you could tell it was actually meat not filler. Since it was my first time and I don't eat a lot anyway, I opted to get the kids wimpy burger meal with a small shake. The fries were hot and seasoned good. Not like seasoned fries -which I don't like but cooked with a flavorful seasoning making them crispy and tasteful. Sweet tea rounded out my meal. I got the chocolate shake to take home with me but it almost didn't make it. The shake was thick and good. The service was excellent. The young people were friendly and attentive to customers. I was greeted when I walked in the door and the young man patiently walked me through my options when I had questions or needed to take my time to decide. The place was clean. Lots of seating room inside with a great casual vibe. Perfect for family night, dates and groups. There were three of us and 2 got Coke Zero and one got fully leaded Coke. Then the girl who got the drinks did a damn three card Monty with them and of course didn't click the little buttons on the lid so you can tell which is regular and which is diet and which is Sprite (). My burger patties were right on the edge of done. The crispy onion strings and A1 sauce were there, I think, but as sparse as the leaves on a tree in December.

They don't take reservations, and I even called to inform them we had a party of 9 and they said it didn't matter. Okay... we get there and had to wait 30 minutes for a table. If we had been able to make a reservation, that wouldn't have happened. The employees were all nice though. Our main waiter and the waitress helping him were attentive and got what we needed. One thing that really disappointed me was that they were out of brisket (told us after we placed our orders) and half our orders had brisket. We had family from the west coast here and the whole point of going to Memphis BBQ was for them to enjoy southern BBQ and I feel they didn't get the whole experience. Another thing, our waiter specifically said he put the 3 kids meals on one order so they would come out first... guess which ones came out last out of all 9 of us? Yeah, the kids. And the food was piping hot for them so they barely ate anything by the time we were all done with our meals. Which our meals were actually good. Except the water. Has an awful chlorine taste to it. Lastly, weren't we supposed to get complimentary pork rinds? I completely forgot about that until after we left or I would have asked for them. The decor is like any other Five Guys but the tables and booths and some of the chairs were just a mess. Well, they hadn't been wiped of crumbs, sauces, peanut shells, nor other remnants. It was gross. The floors weren't much better. They felt like they had never even had a one-night-stand with a degreaser, never mind a whole relationship, at any time in their existence. We all know it's expensive but I like this occasional splurge. At the counter, I ordered a little cheeseburger all the way excluding raw onions, mushrooms, and lettuce, a regular order of fries to share, a regular hamburger all the way, no exclusions, a chocolate milkshake and a Coke. All from a sullen teenager who had to be urged to speak audibly and clearly. I was polite but irritated at having to feel like an old biddy. The teen remained sullen but at least I could hear the questions. I had never seen a Five Guys kitchen crew so quiet, perhaps sullen as well? The whole place just felt... wrong. We asked for a booth to be wiped. Once it was wiped down, we sat to wait. Wait we did. The place wasn't very busy. Maybe 2-3 other groups of 2-4 people ahead of us. Still, we waited. Others got their orders and new people came in and got theirs. After asking about our order, it had mysteriously been lost in the queue. Certainly no apology from the sullen order-taker. We got a refund and left. Perhaps I shouldn't have asked the order taker to please raise his voice? I'm not sure what happened, but it was just a downer.
