This used to be a staple for my family, we would eat there at least once per week, most of the time twice per week. Food has become completely inconsistent, several times my hot meal was served cold or was inedible. Service is a disaster at best, unless you're part of the clique or someone the staff wants to flirt with, good luck getting decent service. Last time we were there we were seated at the high tops across from the bar and two times I had to take coffee mugs to the bar for refills. I really miss the previous management, good food & service and the cleanliness that kept us going for years. read more

The first time I called to order take out there was a really rude lady that answered. The wings were so good I ordered a couple more times after that. The servers there aren't really that nice ever. Delicious! Didn't take pictures of the turkey club or the French dip (didn't think to until after the food was gone) but I did take a photo of my wings. We initially stopped by a month ago. Since then we've stopped by two more times. We would come more often but we're from New Mexico traveling to Wyoming to visit family. Each time we have stopped in, the food, the service and overall dining experience has been excellent. Even our picky eater said the turkey club was one of the best, if not the best turkey club he's ever had. Kudos to all the staff to help make our dining experience excellent. read more

Don't bring your family here unless you like them to hear f-bombs. Went in for breakfast on. Saturday morning and the "manager" at the bar couldn't stop saying mean things about her 8-year-old daughter, commiserating with another customer about how much it sucks to be a mother. All while repeatedly dropping f-bombs that everyone in the restaurant could hear. And the kicker? The owner was right there and didn't seem fazed. (The discussion did escalate and get ever more rank after he left!) Just a note to "S" and "G"--not all of your customers appreciate profanity, or hearing mothers call their daughters profane names. :( read more

I have been in Wingnutz many times. I have now stopped going in. The food is hit or miss at best. Watching the food handling procedures that do not exist. You may be taking you or your family's health at risk. The restaurant has LOTS of cleaning issues. First the restrooms are very nasty from mold growing in the walls, around the sink and the water faucets. The ceilings in the restrooms have dust and dirty hanging off on them. The lights are a mess, big hole in the wall from a water leak repair. I am afraid to wash my hands in there most of the time they are out of Soap or Paper towels (how do the workers keep their hands clean). As far as the dining area, Wingnutz closed down for three days about a year ago for cleaning and remodeling. I first day they were open I was there and the cleaning was a joke still to the last time I was in there (a month ago) thick dust on the NIC-NACs on the shelves and the surf board hanging from the ceiling. Every time that the water is let out of the sink behind the bar it floods into the dining/bar areas then the mops come out (2 years now on this one). The washing of the bar glasses what a joke. I am surprised know one has gotten sick from that alone. After someone moved a table in the dining area (that should be moved nightly for cleaning) a mice nest was found and you guess it a mouse ran out from under it. The owner has no care of the health of the people of Rifle. He just wants their Money. The manger wears what looks like the same pair of cut off cameo shorts to work EVRYDAY and Black Chuck Taylor low top shoes with no socks EVERYDAY! The owner must not care how people dress or if they 6 different pair of the same shorts or just one that is worn everyday. Who Knows! I would think twice about bring a family that cared about to eat here because of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the food safety issues that must come from just the non-cleaning that happens here. I really hope that someone at the restaurant reads this and tells the owner and he fixes the issues. If that happens I would remove the review. read more

Came in around 2 PM on a Saturday. Sat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly, let me choose what I wanted to put on the television. Service was incredibly fast. If you're considering bringing your family to this restaurant, don't. You'll hear the employees using a great deal of profanity and talking about inappropriate things. We all decided what we were going to eat waited for the server to come and waited and waited. She never came back after about 20 min of waiting. Every time we are in Rifle we always say we're gonna stop here but never do. Finally we stopped in one evening for dinner...it was just ok. Wings aren't crispy- they're soggy! When I asked, the reply was "that's how they come". Other food was edible- but mediocre.

Spent $40 on wings to go and they were so dry we couldn't even eat them. The only good thing was the sauces. Not worth the money.

Server and bartender were great. In regards to their wings, I can't believe this place "specializes in wings". Sauce was Tabasco plus some extra heat so nothing special there. The wings were fatty as hell and very little meat. They were also not fried long enough at all even though we asked for well done wings. All in all, fatty wings wing crappy sauce and very little meat. We did not finish our wings and will not be going back.
