We came at lunch on a Wednesday, this place was empty! The music was so loud my kid and I had to get nose to nose to hear each other. When we walked in the employee was taking a phone order so we were able to look and see what we wanted. When we ordered it was a suprise taht everything, to include ranch, was al la cart... so I just got wings and my kid got a meal. The wings take about 15 min to cook which is nice, I like fresh!! The fried corn is not worth it yall!! My kid got the chicken sandwich, she said it was not as good as Popeyes but better than Pluckers. While we were there I guess the guy that was on the phone came is yelling that he was hung up on... yikes. The manager handled it well and defused the situation, gold star for her!!

i'm currently writing this review as my brother and i are sitting in the restaurant, it's january 3, 2026, we came from downtown austin tired and hungry and we got our order taken by Korey; instantly you could tell how they all looked a little stressed because of how many orders they had, it didn't stop them from being great care takers. i have never tried the voodoo fries so i asked what was on them and got my answer with no complications or attitude. my little brother has a weird request and he likes his fries from any fast food place cold, this is the first time i've ever had workers agree to serve him his fries cold and even then when we got the food they made sure they were the right temperature for him. the store was clean, not packed, didn't have trash everywhere. this was such a good experience for us, genuinely. will definitely be coming again. shout out to the crew who's all here at 10:52 pm on 01/03/26, much love to all of yall .

My fries that came with almost little to none seasoning I rarely give reviews but like cmon bro you can't miss the order instructions that bad Everytime and I specifically order extra seasoning on them because they be bland af and dry ‍, I waited 45+ minutes for this food and it ain't even all the way right and this ain't the first time and probably won't be the last.

There was a while where this location was a little rough and I had written a poor review for them. But over the years since, they have vastly improved. My go to order is typically the voodoo fries and a 10 pc boneless wing (yes I highly prefer boneless) of whatever flavor I'm feeling like that week. Their boneless wing deal on Monday and Tuesday are just too good to pass up. Their ranch is absolutely addicting and the voodoo fries I literally could eat every single day. I did post a picture of the fries from two separate items I've gone in the last few weeks because one of those times they SMOTHERED my fries with cheese and ranch (which was a good thing) Either way I'd suggest If you had a bad experience with this location in the past, try to give em another chance!

Dropped in to kill some time and grab a bite to eat... and left super impressed yet again! The vibe here is perfectly laid-back....chill atmosphere, no pretension, just a spot to relax with great drinks and food. Shoutout to the beer master Eric behind the bar! He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he pours. He shared this awesome line that stuck with me: "Every good beer has a story, and the story should be told!" Made the whole experience feel more personal. I went with tap #13, Juicy Fish--a hazy IPA from WeldWerks Brewing Co. at 8.6% ABV. Wow, what a juicy, flavorful beast! Packed with tropical hops, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink for that ABV. Definitely hit the spot. For food, I had 5 wings tossed in the Blazin Ghost Pepper sauce. It's described as a smoky blend with mild ghost pepper heat, and it delivered exactly that....great smokiness upfront, building warmth without incinerating your mouth (perfect if you like heat but not torture level). Wings were crispy, juicy, and tender too. Rounded it out with the Carnivore pizza, loaded with meats and just the right amount of char on the crust. Hand stretched and fresh, it paired really well with the beer. If you're in the Pflugerville area and love craft beer (especially with knowledgeable staff who actually talk about it), wings, or pizza, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back again and again to catch more of the rotating taps and hear more stories from Eric! Get em while you can. They are Beer today gone tomorrow.

My girls are begging for anchor wings nightly, the 9yo loves their retrial and the 7yo loves the jerk, I personally love the honey siracha and babe alert ranch. Now the honey siracha, it's listed as like the one of the hottest, no sir it's barely spicy at all, I still love it but just saying. Wait staff is always awesome, friendly and super helpful. Only complaint is we saw they have .99c wings on Tuesdays, it says limit 10, which was perfect for the girls and I since we can't eat more than 6. The waiter said it's a misprint and supposed to say 10 minimum. That was frustrating and sad because we would go every Tuesday if we could order less, 10 is way too much for all 3 of us and all 3 like different flavors so sharing won't work either. Love the hand cleaning station, although it looks like it could use a cleaning itself lol. But 5 stars because yesssss, the food and the service are so good. Wait one more complaint, sorry! The skillet cookie, way too expensive for what you get AND the skillet is tiny it's impossible to eat without getting burned. Knowing it was bringing hot and being careful all 3 of us still left with burns.

They were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of vinegar and cooked to that ideal tender texture without being mushy. The fried chicken and catfish were outstanding. Both were well seasoned, incredibly crispy, and tasted like they were fried in fresh grease. Every bite was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The baked macaroni and cheese was good, but it leaned a little more toward a Velveeta-style cheese sauce than my personal preference. Still a solid 9/10. I also ordered the Peach Passion Fruit Hennessy margarita, and it was superb. Smooth, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the prices were very reasonable, and the portions were generous. Would you pick a fried chicken spot for a Father's Day brunch? Probably not...but that's exactly…read morewhat my husband chose for his special day. I don't eat a lot of fried food, but sometimes you just go with the flow. Every year, we go through the same routine. Two weeks out: "Have you picked a restaurant yet?" Not yet. One week out: "Any ideas?" Still no. Then, three days before Father's Day...bam...the decision is made! Luckily, this last-minute pick didn't require reservations. This year's winner? Drum roll...The Rolling Rooster. Honestly, you've got to love the name. The Rolling Rooster is located in a strip center at the corner of Mopac and Wells Branch Parkway. It looks small from the outside, but once you step in, it opens up into a surprisingly spacious dining area. It's not fancy, but it has a warm, homey feel. We were greeted right away by Edna, who handled both hosting and serving. She was friendly and welcoming, embodying that classic Texas Southern hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy, with a smooth R&B playlist spinning in the background. As you'd expect, the restaurant focuses on Southern comfort food...think fried chicken, wings, and waffles. The standout for me was the catfish: crispy, flavorful, and coated with a slightly heavier cornmeal crust than usual, which added a nice texture. We both went with the 2 | 2 combo...two meats and two sides...choosing fried chicken wings and catfish. For sides, we had yams, fries, Mac n cheese and my favorite...grits. The food tasted like something straight out of a family kitchen...comforting, hearty, and satisfying. Portions were generous and reasonably priced, so much so that we didn't have room for dessert on the spot. We did, however, grab some banana pudding to go and I'm glad we did. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The hubby and I got to enjoy some quality time while he enjoyed one of his favorite meals...a win-win! Happy Father's Day!
