    Updated price list 5/25/2022

They're open Sundays, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and occasionally Saturday's events. Jamaican Cuisine: cooked on the day. Made fish for a pre-order. This food truck can be found by that open space downtown Pflugerville opposite from the fire station, with a bunch of other good trucks. They have picnic tables out. Pricing was questionable. They have their prices in their cashier system, and the owner was willing to add to their price list board outside the food truck. The owner said to have challenges to get staff and now has it staffed with his mom who is the great cook. And the sales lady who is actually a 4th grade teacher needing a second job to come by nowadays, but actually want to step away and taking a break from Education and I can't blame her. Very nice people and great service.

    Oxtail was phenomenal

Stumbled upon this truck at Hanovers after a full day of celebrating love at a wedding. Not sure if it was the drinks or being beyond starving or if this oxtail was truly some of the best I have had in years, but I devoured this large plate and left no crumbs. The party I was with had never tried oxtail before so I let them all try very small bites (it was that good, I didn't want to share, but they needed to know!). They were all so blown away by how tender, juicy, flavourful the meat was. The rice was cooked perfectly and don't even get me started on the bananas, that is always my favorite. The man who took my order was super nice and brought the food out to my table once it was ready and made it easy to pay there too. I will definitely be back, sooner than later. Get the oxtail!!!

Jerk chicken (with side of sauce) with veggies, rice and plantains.

Hands down the best ox tail and jerk chicken I've ever had. Warren and his mother put a lot of love and care into their food, and it really shows. The ox tail was trimmed of fat and tender as can be. The jerk chicken had the heat from the jerk marinade but wasn't overpowering. It was tender and had a nice smokiness from the grill. Even the veggies were so good. The wife and I were stuffed with the portions they gave us. It's truly a gem in the downtown Pflugerville area.

This review is long over due but I am determined to write it. I went to Austin to celebrate my birthday in October. Happened to saw this truck and stopped to get something to eat. I basically bought everything off the menu when I sampled their oxtail. The food was well seasoned and the portion size was Perfect. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of my food because I spent most the time speaking with Warren and his mom. Such beautiful people that you can tell cook from their heart. If you are ever in town definitely stop by

Jerk Chicken, rice & plantains. Oh, and braised cabbage with carrots.

Chicken was juicy, tender and full of flavor. There are two other Jamaican locations in Pflugerville that have jerk chicken - this one is the best! I can't wait to eat there again.

I had the jerk chicken plate. It comes with rice and peas, plantains and veggies. They are all cooked to perfection and very delicious. The chicken is so tender and flavorful. Price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Amazing service equal food. Ordered jerk chicken, oxtail, red snapper, curry chicken meat pie and a sampling of home made juices. Owner is gracious and very welcoming, nice it in some Jamaican music and I was transported to the island for a moment. A great experience.

I went for a regular oxtail plate with gungo rice and plantains. Overall I liked it! The oxtail was tender and delicious, the sauce had a nice mix of smoke, sweetness, and a tiny bit of heat. For a regular (as opposed to their large) size plate it felt like a good amount of oxtail I thought based on the description the gungo rice would have a more prominent coconut taste but it was pretty typical Jamaican peas and rice. The star of the plate was the oxtail and the sides don't really factor into my review unless it really stands out in one direction or the other Overall I'd definitely recommend giving them a try and will absolutely be back here to try more of their menu

We decided to eat at Bikkle, close to the University of Texas at Austin on Guadalupe Street. Bikkle is known for its authentic Jamaican cuisine such as jerk chicken, oxtails (hard to find anywhere anymore) and curry goat. Between the four of us, we ordered jerk chicken, curry goat, and curry chicken. We all went for red beans and rice with cabbage. All dishes came with plantain, which is one of my favorites. Having been to Jamaica a couple of times, I can report out that this food is authentic! The flavors were swirls of goodness in every bite. The food was also warm when served. We also ordered jerk chicken egg rolls. Just think about that concept for a minute. The jerk chicken egg rolls were exceptionally good. The highlight for me was the curry goat. First, you do not find goats on many menus. The curry goat was tender and oh so flavorful. Some pieces had associated fat. All in all, everyone was happy with their meals. During our dinner, only one person was serving customers. She was super friendly and personable. I must think she was overworked as the stream of customers came in. Now for the décor...if you walked in and looked only at the counter, you would have thought it was a "to go" restaurant only as many "to go" containers were stacked high on the counter. Only one other couple sat down and ate in the restaurants and most folks were picking up their food to go. Even the people eating inside the restaurant were served in "to go" containers. The inside is minimalist with no ornate furnishings and yellow walls, projecting a Caribbean feel. Recommend adding a bit more Jamaican artifacts such palm trees, Jamaican flag, surfboard, etc. It would be a great spot for students, friend meet ups and a causal date night... Bikkle Jamaican Restaurant it was great and represented authentic Jamaican food well! We definitely will be returning.

Best experience ever!…read more The food was phenomenal. Best meal ever. Service was untouchable. Our server went above and beyond to help us and take care of us. The music and the scene inside the restaurant was pure fun! We arrived on a Saturday night with no reservations and only had to wait for about 30 minutes. As soon as we sat down, I knew this would be special! The inside decor is beautiful and our server was so kind and answered all of our questions and helped us order. It was a group of 4 friends so we decided to order several different plates and share everything. We got the coco buns, pepper shrimp, roti, fish rundown, West Indian curry, wild boar pepper pot, coconut rice, and the fried plantains. I can't decide what was my favorite. The roti was perfect and the curry was the best curry I've ever had. If you have a chance to go here- do not pass this up!! Seriously, the best meal in the best city!

Nothing funnier than watching a server try to deal with a bunch of fresh off…read morethe plane Trinidadians, and trinis who truly know Caribbean food. *Service- The service here was fine enough. There were definitely some issues, but I think that lays more on the restaurant itself rather than the servers. Sure they know the plates name and what is used to make it, but they couldn't tell us what made it a "Guyanese Roti". Was it a bussup shut? Was it dosti? They had no idea. We sent the jerk chicken back so we could get it cut up into some smaller pieces so we could share it, and the kitchen refused. Which was a little annoying, but what was more annoying was that it took them over 10 minutes to just say no. The staff here is not trained to deal with some real deal Trinis who are gonna rib you and ask questions about the food. *Drinks- We enjoyed all the drinks we had! They were all delicious and we liked that they at least used some Caribbean ingredients in them. The beer section is lacking heavily though. To only offer red stripe as the Caribbean beer is very disappointing, especially since Carib and Stag are sold here in the states. The excuse of it being "too expensive" doesn't sit well when I can go to total wine down the road and get it. *Food- The most controversial part of our meal. We ordered quite a bit after being told everything was shareable, but what we found that to not be 100% true. Certain things like the Wild Boar pepper pot were, but the "West Indies" curry was not. Most of the food was sadly not remarkable and didn't have the spice and flavor it should've had. The most disappointing was the curry, it felt more like a Japanese style curry than a West Indies curry. Barely any meat for the 28 dollars you pay, the flavor was just flat with no spice, and whatdeass is the cabbage there for? I don't want to hark too much, because at the end we still enjoyed the food. But do not come here thinking you're going to get the real deal Caribbean cuisine. *Dessert- I guess we wanted a "likkle muore" and ordered desert. We had the flan and tres leches, and both were delicious. If you want a little something sweet, I'd recommend the flan. It was almost a cheesecake texture and the jam it came with complimented that extremely well. Wasn't too sweet and it was a great end to the meal. TLDR; The food is okay, but at this price it's not worth it. It's not true enough to Caribbean food as we would have liked. If they're playing to "local" tastes, they should stop and serve dishes with the spice, seasonings, and strong flavor that is so synonymous with Caribbean food. I wouldn't come back, nor would I recommend it, especially charging $28 for a curry with 4 pieces of meat, 5 potatoes, and 3 pieces of chana. If you do come; get a drink, get the wild boar and roti, get the flan, and maybe grab a shirt that says "jerk your heart out" on your way out.

My teenager introduced me to the place as he and his friends like it enough to often spend their own hard earned money there which says a lot. I feel like the rice could have benefitted from a bit more seasoning but I loved the plantains. For beverages we each decided to try one of their specialty beverages, Soursop and Sorrel. Realizing we were rookies when we ordered them, they were kind enough to offer us a taste of them just to be sure we liked them before paying for them which I appreciated. My teenager chose the sweet version of the Soursop while I had the Sorrel which reminded me of kambucha. This food truck is one of the most reliably open food trucks in this area. Unlike some food truck areas, this area has been developed as a nice area to not just pick up food but to stay and eat. Located in a parking lot between an apartment complex and a crossfit business, this is one of 5 or 6 food trucks in a strip with another group of 5 or 6 more food trucks across the parking lot. They have recently improved this area with lots of tables, astroturf in some areas, and both natural shade and shade structures.
