Best burgers ever! Huge and tasty! Very friendly staff. Fresh cooked so it takes a bit longer, but worth the wait.

This is located inside of a big, new hotel in Winifred. The entire thing is quite strange - it…read morelooks like it was dropped from the sky on it's way to a big city. It's very much run by locals, though. More than one person that I saw working at the hotel and at the local cafe across the street I also saw working here. The steakhouse was very clean and beautiful - brand new. I heard the bar was good. I went there for brunch - my friend and I both enjoyed what we ordered. My pancakes were fantastic - they were supposed to be sourdough and I didn't really get that flavor but they were very good anyway. My eggs were just ok - not really properly scrambled and quite oily. However when we called the night we were getting there to see if the Steakhouse would be open in time for our arrival at 8:30 pm (not too late, right?) we were told multiple times in no uncertain terms that they stopped seating right at 8 and closed at 9. There would be no budging, even though it would have been very likely we would have been some of their only customers of the night. They wouldn't bend. In a tiny town at the end of a very desolate stretch of road in a restaurant located inside of a very fancy hotel I would have expected much better service and a later closing time. But in a tiny town? That's very typical behavior. I also would have hoped they would have been more flexible even just for that weekend because there were many people in town for a wedding. But nope. So this place was really good for the brunch I had there but service leaves something to be desired. It's just a very strange mix when you put an expensive, fancy hotel in the middle of absolute nowhere and probably don't have much of an employee base to choose from. But I applaud Winifred for trying!

Ordered the Local breakfast sandwich when it was brought to the table the person dropping it off said, sorry it's a little crispy on the top but the bottom is ok. The top was burned. I said it wasn't ok and I would like a new one. Next one came out messy and the bottom was crispy and hard so asked yet for another one. I sensed that the owner seemed bothered by my request to have yet another one made. The next one came out and was very dry, the croissant seemed stale and it seems that they kept using the same meat and egg. I should have just asked for my money back Honestly a juice and the sandwich was $21 and for what I received, McDonalds would have been a better option. With pricing as high as it is, the service and quality needs to match what is being charged. I don't mind paying higher prices but you must deliver the goods to reflect those prices.

Parr Creek is a nice bakery right on the main street of Lewistown…read more It's one of those places, though, where you need to arrive early if you want the best selection of goodies. By late morning there won't be much left. By late morning, there were only a few donuts on display. There isn't much room for seating here, so to take advantage of one of these treats, expect to wait or just take it to go. Parr Creek has a small breakfast menu, of the type of things you'd expect from a place like this. No full course meals here, just a wrap, pancakes, muffins, scones and cinnamon or caramel rolls. At least that's what was available on the day I was there. There may be other options during the week. The menu is on a whiteboard and it seems the locals don't need to look at the board at all, they just know what to get. On the other hand, there's a small lunch menu with enough selections to make you feel less guilty about indulging a sweet tooth. Next visit, I might try one of them. The sourdough pancakes were served with a rhubarb/strawberry compote that nicely balanced the pancake and I liked that it didn't have the same high level of sweetness as a syrup -- which is also available if that's your preference. Now, the cinnamon roll was gigantic. It was also very good. The frosting was a buttercream, like you get on a cake, and that gave it a completely different flavor than the usual melted sugar. A little of it goes a long way and I preferred to eat around the sweet and just enjoy the subtle cinnamon taste. If you're exploring the area, then make a point to visit Parr Creek.
