I visited Wink & Polish on a Sunday based off the recommendation of my best friend. She has been a pedicure client of Diane's for over a decade and has followed her when she's moved salons. That's what led her to Wink & Polish and in turn, how I became a client! First, this is a beautiful salon. It is very clean and classy. They have a lot of drink options and take good care of you making sure you always have a drink if you want one. My friend had an appointment on Sunday, but I didn't make one, so I did have to wait for 45 minutes. But they let me sit next to her in the pedicure chair while I waited. Diane took great care of me and it was truly the best pedicure I've ever had. I can see why my friend has been a client of hers for so long. I've already decided to become her regular. My friend is big on design nails so she makes her appointments with Sky. I decided to try designs and had my nails done by Simon! He was amazing. I've already been complimented so many times on my nails that he did and I haven't even had them done for a week. I'm obsessed. This is definitely worth driving a little further than my previous place to be so happy with my nails. I also feel like they are very reasonably priced for the quality of work they do! I am very disappointed with the service I received. Out of all the nail salons in my area, this place seemed amazing, but after today's experience, I will not be returning. The nail service was poorly done, and the nails were uneven. I was not happy with the final result. I was told the nails would dry, but they were not durable enough to ensure the service was completed properly and without damage. From the beginning of the appointment, my service selection was questioned because I chose not to purchase the more expensive options. Additionally, the color I originally selected was unavailable, and I was pressured to choose a different color instead. The entire experience felt like a waste of time and did not feel trustworthy. Besides the fact that that the tools aren't clean it's just looks nice in here The nail tech who did my pedicuree and big toe acrylic overlay was rude and kept going back and forth with me on what I was clearly seeing was wrong way to do things on my toes . She said my toes were too short to straighten them out to match. My cuticles on my toes are burning from the chemicals and overage from acrylic overlay which by the way looks awful and bulbous instead of super clean and polished. Talked to the manager and she said it was just a miscommunication when the nail tech started yelling in Vietnamese and snatched off heating pad around my neck while I went to restroom to take a break I was so annoyed. Also $35 for a MINI pedicure is insane. Manager asked if it was fixed I said no she just offered condolences saying I'm sorry you didnt have a good experience today. Are you kidding me? I've been here 4x. Service is subpar. I see preferential treatment for certain parties over the next. I've seen people get seated (assumed to be regulars or favs?) and others like myself and child waiting for over 20 mins. The last straw was when my 12 year old was almost "pressured" to put on tips with her dip powder nails. When I said no 4x ( I usually don't repeat myself after 3) and then was told in her native language I was too broke for tips.. which I'm not sure what my finances have to do with me not letting a 12 year old wear nail tips. Anywho, don't assume non Asians don't speak any Asian language... I may not know your full language but my AI glasses know how to translate. While visiting my niece for the holidays, my Sister and I decided to get a mani/pedi's. I get mani/pedi's all the time and I have to say this was the best manicure I've ever had. Kimberly was my manicurist and she shaped my nails just like I asked (which not many people can do.) The polish job she did was so good and clean (no polish on my cuticles.) LOVE MY NAILS AND COLOR. My first impression was amazing, I was seated right away and offered a complementary neck towel. It was pretty empty when I came but it was mid day. The nail salon was super clean and elegant. I love that they don't use a cheese grater on your feet instead they use a removable file that they change for each customer. The prices are decent, not too expensive but not cheap. Worst salon experience I have had. Waited 45-50 minutes after arriving for a prescheduled appointment. Didn't receive any service until we got up and were about to leave; they filled the footbaths and then left, then the person I was with received service about 10 minutes before I did. By the time the tech actually came over to start the pedicure, the water in my foot bath was already lukewarm/cold. Not that many regular polish options compared to other nail salons. Complimentary can of soda had zero flavor like it had been stored in a hot car. Took them 30 minutes to do a $45 pedicure where other nail salons guarantee at least 45-60 minutes. Pedicure looks fine although the cuticle and nail trimming was painful and everything felt rushed. The front desk woman gave 10% off and apologized for the long wait which was unexpected and nice of her, but we will not be coming here again. I typically accompany my sister on these pedicure adventures (who by the way has high standards and good taste) and this was by far one of the best places I've been too. Came in with my daughter for a mani/pedi, daughter got a pedi & a fill. Linda did my mani/pedi & tore/ripped out my cuticle on my big toe. Then put something on it so it would stop bleeding that BURNED terribly. She kept saying we 'came too early' the 'hot stones' were not hot, the towels were not warm.... we had a 9:30 am appointment. they open at 9am.... should have been their earlier then to hear the towels and stones. My daughter had Elsa.... she cut her cuticle on her big toe as well. Next day and it is sore & throbs when she walks on it. Her fill was not great either. You can still see the blue of her last fill through the semi-sheer nail color she has now.... there's some areas that are totally uneven on her nails. $178 for the worst nail jobs! Pedicure was horrible. Paint on my toes were messy. Massage was not enjoyable at all. I came in and asked for a mani/pedi. They gave me a refill on my nails and a pedicure. I asked her what about the manicure, she said "sorry I didn't tell them." Charged for shape, length and did not tell me it would be extra. I walk out paying close to $150 for a refill and a basic pedicure. They did not listen to my instructions, nor was the experience worth what I paid. Not worth the hype. read more

Getting my manicure at Wink & Polish was a great experience. I would recommend it to anyone passing by the Woodlands/ Conroe area. Pros: Walk-ins are welcome. Make sure to ask for wait times so you won't be stuck waiting too long for your turn. My tech, Sue, was also very friendly and accommodating. She was very patient with me (newbie at nails) when I was indecisive on my nail colors. The facility was fairly clean and organized. They offered complimentary drinks, which definitely was a plus. Con/s: I noticed that the instruments used were not individual sterile packages so I'm wondering how often are the they cleaned or sterilized. read more

But we waited over an hour to start our pedicures. No one communicated with us about what was happening or how long we would have to wait (despite asking). It took them 15 minutes to sit me down & then another 15 minutes to get started. Thi did apologize. She told me they've been so busy and she was taking people back to back.
