We were on the road from Minnesota going to see Mount Rushmore and wasn't sure if there was any place had good quality food along the way as we didn't wanna stop at you, typical fast food chains such as McDonald's or Burger King so we figured we would give this place a try. Overall, the food was phenomenal. Great portions on everything that they have to offer there from the burgers, shakes ,fries ,onion rings ice cream, and even slushy. We got a chance to try all of these items in one after one each item we tried was a home run. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we were so glad that we made the decision to stop in. The great news is it's not far off of the main highway. Just a few minutes up the road. They have an easy to access drive through and even room to sit inside and outside, but seeing how we were in a rush we just went through the drive-through and got our food and headed off after a few few minutes. The only thing that caught us a little bit off guard was the style in which you order. It's all à la carte so each item is individual and unfortunately that can add up pretty fast so we ended up spinning about $90 three people to eat so that's just something to keep in mind if you are stopping here just be aware. It is a little bit more pricey, but I will say that the food is great and the portion sizes are excellent.

We pulled around and the lady was very rude about the whole situation. She said "you did not order two Mcchickens" and we got charged the code so we knew that one went through. She looked at her computer for a while and then she finally realized she was wrong and gave us one Mcchicken and I said "we asked for another one" she said "while he didn't hear you" and she said it like we were completely wrong. And clearly we didn't know he didn't hear us because he told us to pull up to the second window.

Sometimes it is just missing napkins, which is a real annoyance when eating behind the wheel. Other times the food is wrong, or some item is missing. I've answered the "survey" on my receipt multiple times, providing details about my poor experience. I've even checked the box asking to be contacted. Nobody has ever responded. I can only guess that the management of this store just doesn't care. I have decided to try the takeout offerings from the gas station next door next time. How pathetic Winner McDonald's! When the gas station next door is more appealing for breakfast you've hit rock bottom. You are only in business because there's not viable competition in town.

But if you are going to stare at the guy who is patiently waiting, you could at least acknowledge my presence. I had to ask for my preferred cheese twice. Because from my first visit I've never received the type of service and hospitality most would expect from Subway, the type of service and hospitality that Subway expects from it's Sandwich Artists. I've been yelled at, I've been ignored, I've been encouraged to use the drive-thru rather than walk in (by the same SA that yelled at me, the one I sent a complaint to Subway about), and have generally been treated like a second-class bothersome customer since my complaint to Subway Corp. about being yelled at. Day-before-yesterday was the last straw though. I tried to order online at about 7:45PM, it wouldn't take my order. I walked across the street, was the only person waiting to order (just one other couple in the store eating), and was, again, ignored . I had to instigate the order (the two SA's actually stood there and wouldn't even look me in the eyes until I spoke up). The only thing I was asked was what kind of bread and cheese I wanted. No offer of a footlong. No offer of toasting. No offer of a meal. When I asked about the online ordering not operating the only response I got was "I don't have anything to do with that!" And, not surprisingly, no "Thank You" when I was leaving. Look, without trying to sound like a "Kevin", the type of service this franchise has to offer cannot be the same service I was trained to give when I first started my employment with Subway in the early '80's, nor the type of training I provided in my years of managing Subway franchises.
