Meh... I've been to this location twice and both times it's been underwhelming. It's on the smaller side and they don't seem to have a very good variety of items. I could never find anything in the men's section for my husband and it took a lot of time to find anything I wanted. The girl at the fitting rooms had a bit of an attitude with everyone. The cashier also didn't seem too happy to be there. While I was waiting in the LONG line to pay, i opened up a powder compact I was planning to buy. At first, I thought it was just missing the powder puff. Then when I opened it up to make sure it hadn't been used, I saw that it was completely empty. I told the cashier I didn't want it, and showed her the problem so it wouldn't be put back on the shelf like that - and she gave me a look like I took the powder puff- to which I burst out laughing ! She wasn't impressed - neither was I ! I'll skip this location - plenty more to choose from! read more

What I love about Winners: - Great discounts on designer items (when you can find nice stuff) - Interesting / unique items (not everyone will be wearing the same sweater) - Great selection of items from jewellery to sleepwear - One-stop shopping (hair products, clothes, shoes, pet treats/accessories) What I dislike about Winners: - Disorganized (I know this is usually the fault of lazy customers not putting things back where they should be, but still - hard to find matching shoes sometimes) - I might find an item I really like, but can't find it in my size because who knows where it might be on another rack? - Staff are not very well trained (get a lot of "I don't know" responses to questions) I do check back regularly, as there have been times where I find exactly what I'm looking for - but it's disappointing to go there for an item that is not a regular product. For example, I have purchased some dog treats there that my dog absolutely goes crazy for. The next few times I go there looking for them, they are not in stock (sorry, Oscar). I just wish the ratio of "finding things" to "NOT finding things" was better - I think I find what I'm looking for about 30%-40% of the time. It can be discouraging to shop there. read more

Winners is a funny place. Either you find a bunch of stuff or nothing at all, and for myself, I definitely have to be in the mood to shop here. It's most comparable to a TJ Maxx instead of a Ross because they have some decent brands but nothing way high end. If I lived in Canada, I'd probably browse here regularly. Anyway, this store is well laid out and mostly organized. It's clean and the staff is constantly putting stuff away from the fitting rooms. I didn't think their sale prices were phenomenal, though. I debated getting a white crocheted bathing suit cover up for an upcoming Kauai trip but thought $20 for clearance seemed a few bucks too much still for something I can probably just get cheaper at Target. They have some nice designer costume jewelry but the girls at the counter just stared at me as I browsed. No "hello" or smiles... not super welcoming and a little uncomfortable. Overall, I think I like this location more than then other ones I've been to. It's clean and organized and just big enough to hold a lot of clothes but not so big that it's overwhelming. Nice winners, people in and old but not crowded and packed. Quite a decent sized winners and a few different items from stationaries, clothing and undergarments, shoes, toys, sportswear and accessories, house and bathroom items, and more but some size would be pretty limited especially things like swimwear and shoes. Decent staffs, most are very helpful and pretty friendly. A pretty big parking lot right outside if you drive and walking distance to bus stops. read more

This location has some great apparel and trinkets to take home. The "mode" section has some pretty good summer finds. Also, this Winners has a "natural" section that houses organic and natural products like African black soap and Thayer's witch hazel toner. Some really good stuff can be found there. The service there isn't the best, you're pretty much on your own, like, "if its not there then I don't know" kind of response. Its just racks and racks of barely organized clothing and shoes. However, if one is able to dig in, sometimes gold is found. There is plenty of parking and its open late. read more

My wife loves Winners and goes at least once a week. Yesterday, we went with my mother in law and had yet another unpleasant experience. Like other people mentioned, not only is the store in a disarray, the manager is extremely unprofessional. First of all the line up was crazy, ironically, as it wasn't a busy night or anything and only one of the tills was open. The infamously rude manager was standing around gossiping with other staff members, ignoring the situation. Naturally, many of the customers lined up actually noticed this and started complaining. The store itself is fine. The style and amount of clothing and knickknacks fluctuate throughout the year. Just needs someone else in the managerial role. read more

One of the newer design stores, no 1980s pink and blue logo. clean store, typical size. walked over to men's on the left. one thing that is different are lack of long, long racks...which either intimidates or infuriates guys lol. Instead, shorter racks, seemed easier to find stuff. Didn't find much in way of designer name ski jackets, now is the season for deals. located in enormous plaza. read more

Store is always messy , I assumed minimum staff on duty . Bad management and for a minimum wage they make you work like a slave .Certainly not an ideal place to work . I would highly recommend working at superstore over winners as its a union job and they protect the employees . read more

I needed some basic socks and stuff so I decided to check this place out. Turns out they had a lot of necessary things for living and I walked out with a bunch of stuff. If you keep searching, you can find some good-priced gems. read more

I walked into this Winners expecting the same I would see at any other store, but I was surprised by the service I got at this location on Lougheed Hwy, across the street from Coquitlam Centre. As you know, Winners is a self-service store, you look, you pick, you try and you buy...pretty straight forward. The only staff that you run into is either at the fitting rooms or the cashiers. I happened to get help from one lady today at the jewelry section and she was so helpful and nice!. Well, my luck repeated twice and I got a super nice, kind and helpful cashier as well!. My good service day! Yay!. So 4 1/2 stars for service and another 4 1/2 stars for variety. This winners particularly has way more brand name clothing/shoes/accesories than other stores. Maybe because it isn't as busy as the other ones, I am always able to find what I need. It is always great to find something unique at a great price plus getting good service as I did today! ;) read more

I had Gianel as a casher. I have a math disability and it makes it hard for me to do simple math so I rely heavily on cashiers to be correct. I gave Gianel $25.55 for a $14.54 bill. Good cashers realize this and correct me, giving me back the unnecessary amount. She cashed it as $15.55 and I realized when I walked out of the store. I went back to talk to Gianel politely to work this out. She told me she was 99% sure I gave her a ten not a twenty, and I told her I'm 100% sure I gave her 20. I was met with her arguing with me and a long disagreement. I asked her to please play back the cameras to confirm if I was correct or wrong. She just kept reading the receipt to me and telling me no. I was firm and polite but a scene was made. I started to cry and ask for the manager, she sighed, said she was no longer dealing with me and told me to wait. When she called the manager, she just explained that she was right and I was wrong, without letting the manager come to her own conclusion. The manager came and counted the till, and it was exactly $10 over. She looked at Gianel and said "we are over, I'm giving this to her" I left the store crying and shaking. No one apologized to me or acknowledged that they were wrong. I was deeply appalled at how big of a scene it became, and to not be given an apology over the hard time I was given. I have worked retail myself and would NEVER fight customers like this, or make a scene over shored change. My family has shopped at this location for years, and we will not be returning. read more

I used to live in the area and it is not the best location, especially for women's clothes. I used to come here 'cause it was so close to home and I was too lazy to go all the way to Metrotown. The styles are not what modern women wear, sizes are off and patterns are outdated but not. Men's section is decent as I have been here with friends. The women's jeans are even worse. Nothing trendy for older 30's women who don't want to be in skinny jeans. Way too many mommy clothes. Metrotown by far as the way better selection for the modern mid range women. read more

Although Winners can be a great place to score some cheap deals, I find this Coquitlam location to be lacking. They often have a pitiful selection of sizes and rarely have the great finds that the Pitt Meadows or West Coquitlam stores offer. Also, the lines tend to be longer and the store is usually in a greater disarray. read more

Take this in the perspective of a guy. Can't say much about the women's section but I've been shopping here for two years and keep finding gems. In fact, every time I go to the counter to pay, the sales associates always blush with envy mentioning the fact I picked up some good stuff. Some of the designer labels I've picked up include: Ralph Lauren, Fred Perry, Sperry Topsiders, Jack Spade (shirts, sweaters, wallet for $26), Cheap Monday jeans, Frank & Oak, Calvin Klein underwear, Versace Collection, Hershel's, and some cool indie brands from Austin, NY, and Amsterdam. Shoe section is great. I managed to pick up Nike runners, and a ton of funky canvas sneakers for next to nothing. This is my favourite location next to the Downtown store. I also managed to pick up stuff in the home decor section that awesome, they got amazing scented candles from DW Home, love their tiny tea/coffee selection, and bath and body stuff. There are a lot of things I would like to say about Winners, but most particularly, the Coquitlam location. I had bought a pair of malo designer boots from the Downtown location and wanted to return it, however, I didn't have my receipt. I followed their procedures and have given my identification. Shortly after, I was approached by a male manager(whom by the way did not have a name tag) and told me that their system showed that everything was correct except the price. I have bought the boots for $115 clearance a month ago but in their system it showed that the current price is $55 clearance. He was willing to give me $55 return and began talking how they mark an item down 3 times and they can only give me whatever is on their system. In other words, I lost $60 worth of money-take into account I bought the item not too long ago but they assumed it was a couple of months ago. The manager was unprofessional and lacked good customer service experience. I definitely will not be going back to this location. read more

I don't get it. Winners - at least this location - is nothing more than a glorified Salvation Army Thrift Store. The displays and aisles are a mess, many items are damaged or dirty, and good luck finding that blouse you love in your size. I have purchased the odd home item, like a bathmat or a wicker basket, but I really don't understand why anyone LOVES this place. read more
