Bespoke-Gasms! This is absolutely the most amazing bespoke men's accessory shop I have ever…read morevisited. The store is quaint and located in a more touristy area of town in Old Montreal located near some other quality (and non-so quality stores). They carry ties, bowties, belts, watches, wallets, rings, bracelets, cufflinks, lapel pins, necklaces, underwear, and other accessories. Much of the store includes finely curated, quality brands that are often hard to find. But their crowning gem are their custom ties and bowties. They have flare, can be bold in modern, and yet are crafted from fine silks and cottons from all over the world. They'll even make something with fabric of your choosing--tailors for men's accessories! Genius. The staff was one of the tailors and super helpful and engaging. She goes on trade shows and tends to sell out everything when she goes. There are very few repeats and eat time is unique. I'll be visiting each time I'm in Montreal and likely will be sending some email requests shortly.

This place is awful. I brought three pieces of clothing: one required very simple alterations, and…read morewas done okay, but two required more extensive work. A pair of pants I asked to have taken in at the waist and legs came back with one leg too tight and the other even tighter. There was a difference of almost 3/4 of an inch in the taper. I insisted they be fixed, and the second attempt wasn't much better. I also brought a vintage coat from the 30s to find out if it was worth modernizing. The tailor assured me the fabric was hugely expensive wool. I told him I'd want to get the coat cleaned first to make sure it would look good, and he told me not to worry; he was going to take care of everything. When I asked if he was sure, he told me "Please, I'm here 30 years..." Well, when I got the coat back, looked like it had been sewn by a student, and it was just as unclean as it had been when I dropped it off. I brought it to a dry cleaner and the stains, as I suspected, could not be lifted. Also, the coat wasn't wool. The shop needs more craftsmanship and less con. I wouldn't go back there to hem a pair of Levi's, let alone trust them with anything of value.

I went to Moores for my wedding and boy was that a colossal mistake. We went about 2 and a half…read moremonths before the wedding to pick out rentals for the groomsmen and the salesmen, Yves, pitched a custom suit for my fiancé. The service at the time was acceptable, my fiancé got measured and we opened a file for the wedding. We were told we would be contacted to make a paiement for the custom suit at a later date. We were assured the suit would be ready in time. 2 weeks before our wedding we had not heard back from them so we went in store to inquire. Turns out, THEY NEVER ORDERED THE CUSTOM SUIT. So there we were, 2 weeks to the wedding and the groom had no suit. What did they offer to rectify the situation? Knock of 50$ for our groomsmen rental and order a rental for the groom. I do not think that is anywhere near what should have been offered. So we went from a brand new custom suit to a barely discounted rental. It was as if they didn't acknowledge the importance of the groom having the attire we originally planned for. Needless to say we refused to spend an extra penny to this company and went another route to clothe my fiancé on his wedding day. Head office will definitely be hearing from me.
