There were issues with sound mikes. A mike was needed for soloist at keyboard and clergy at podium, but only one mike was available which meant the soloist was trapsing across the space crossiny in front of tge casket to deliver the mike to the podium. Then the batteries died before the eulogy began. So there was no sound amplification during the service. This is vital when the majority of attendees are elderlyand have hearing loss.

My son died unexpectedly in 2005. In my grief I wanted him in the same mausoleum as my daddy. All…read morethey had was a spot up top. I was told that there would always be a ladder with wheels available for me to use. I have used that ladder more times than can count. There's a platform at the top to stand on. I go and hang wreaths and his pictures, I wipe it off and just take care of it. I sit on the platform and talk to him, touch his marble. I'm his mother and that's all I have left to do for him. I went today to hang a new wreath and new picture, the other one has turned yellow. I couldn't find the ladder so I went to the office to get one put back at his mausoleum. I have had to do this before. Well today I was told the ladder is no longer available and no I can't bring my own. I now have to make an appointment for maintenance to put his wreath up and picture. Are I can use the provided pole. I no longer have access to my son's grave, I can't touch it ever again. That is just so wrong and cruel on so many levels!!!

The man we met with was so genuine and gentle in his approach, which we greatly appreciated at such a delicate time. He listened to exactly what my friend wanted and more importantly, gently guided her in the decision making process because this was so unexpected and her husband was so young, a service was not something they had discussed before. She didn't really know what she wanted but the guidance she was provided was perfect. No high pressure sales tactics, every option was presented and she was allowed to choose within her budget without any judgment. Everything was carried out exactly as planned and the service was very nice. There were a lot of options as far as different spaces and the one we selected with the help of the funeral planner was perfect for her needs. The staff was very warm and welcoming. No high pressure sales, which I know other people have experienced at other funeral homes. Bottom line, no one wants to need the services of a funeral home but should you need to plan a memorial, this Rabenhorst is a very warm, caring place to do so.

He took care of it all and made my mother look so beautiful. Words can't express how grateful we are to him. If I die, this is the place I want everything to be handled at and Mr Vaughan to do it. Thank you again, my friend.
