At this Gothic tradition, described by Jon Meacham, "...visitors come from across the South to experience classic services modeled on the choral majesty of King's College Chapel in Cambridge, England." From last year's program, "In this service we present the double meaning of the Advent season. From the West Door, the Responsory of ancient Matins on Advent Sunday announces the hope of Messiah. Then, the Choir and Chancel party will move in procession from west to east, illustrating the theme "from darkness to light." The subsequent readings and music direct attention to the coming of Messiah, and further, to the Second Coming at the End of the Age. The Christian Church lives between these two points: the first, Christmastide with the incarnation of the Son of God, and the second, His coming again to judge and to recreate His universe." At this service, All Saints is decked out with beautiful poinsettias and the Priest dispenses incense. The stained glass windows are absolutely stunning and the chapel is beautiful! Lessons and Carols annually attracts nearly 3000 people to Sewanee! 2025 will be the 66th Festival of Lessons and Carols! When I have attended tickets were free and it's really important to arrive early, as their is always a line to enter this especially beautiful chapel for this service! The Course at "Sewanee" golf course is absolutely lovely, too! It is a nine hole golf course that was redesigned in 2013. It opened for play in 1915. Thanks, Sewanee for 13,000 beautiful Tennessee acres, and the annual "A Festival Service of Nine Lessons and Carols."

Traveling from Tuscaloosa to Alabama we stopped for a beer, food, and to see the someone the Chiefs, Broncos game. Its a nationally televised game but they couldn't find the channel. Once they did at the end of the 1st quarter, they put it on, but changed the other tv's to a weightlifting competition, a golf game and a volleyball tournament. So on the best NFL Sunday, they are clueless. The waitress has apologized 3 times for them not bringing us the wings we ordered a half hr ago. I ordered thai wings with a light sauce. They have NO sauce..I got a dry rub. My good friend where I live is a Buffalo Wild Wings executive and is bumping this experience to a higher level. This is as bad as it gets. If you come here you will leave as angry as I am. The only bright spot is the southern hospitality of the young lady behind the bar with the bandana. Whoever is her boss, resign and let her work. Top 5 worst chain restaurant experiences in my 50 years on earth. Do not come here. I gave 1 star because thats the lowest but its a negative.

WARNING!! CREDIT CARD FRAUD STORY INCOMING! AVOID!!!…read more My family and I were in the area on a Sunday around lunchtime looking for a place to grab some food. The surrounding restaurants were packed, but this one wasn't. Maybe that was our first warning sign! We walked in and we're seated pretty quickly, but then we had to wait approximately 15 minutes before someone even came by and acknowledged us sitting down. Of course in that amount of time we were ready to place our order. 20 minutes later, ur food came out. It was decent. Accurate. Nothing to write home about. Because of the poor customer service, my husband ended up leaving about 15% tip on our bill which ended up being around $45. Fast-forward a few weeks, my husband is looking at the credit card bill and sees that there is a $90 charge for Buffalo wild wings in Oxford! Imagine our surprise! He calls his credit card company and begins the dispute process. Two days later, the general manager of the store calls my husband And says that the waitress miskeyed in the tip, giving herself a $45 tip not a total of $45 bill. She was apologetic, but I can only imagine how many other times this has been done to other customers. I will never visit this location again and I warn you to check your credit card bill if you do decide to stop here.
