I have been going here for about the last 5 years. Usually for a pedicure and sometimes for a manicure as well. The premises are clean. The staff are very friendly and competent. I always enjoy coming here. My feet are not easy to deal with and they always feel so much better after they are finished. They never rush and always take their time to do a great job. I got an acrylic manicure which took 2 hours...one nail fell off literally the next day. Terrible customer service. I came in 2 times to try to get the nail fixed and called ahead both times. When I came in they said they were busy and to comeback...like I made an appointment and they had no regard for it. Wasted my time two days in a row. The price board is wrong, I was expecting to be charged $60 & they charged me $73...when I asked why she said they didn't have the product so she used the more expensive one...It's not okay to not communicate with a client what you're charging them. Went to get acrylics done there. Took 1.5 hours and they still turned out horrible. I asked for coffin and they girl cut the ends off and when i asked them to fix them, they did not. Space was not clean and my nails came out with DENTS. Payed $56 and would never recommend. No nails were measured and they are all different lengths. Also some of my nails are sticking up (as seen on the pinky in photo 2) When I told them I didn't like them, they did not do anything. She also cut my finger and it was bleeding, she did not even acknowledge it. I would definitely not recommend. read more

Would not recommend. They advertise clean equipment but she pulled out a tray with used files and some other nail equipment. She poured a liquid in the nail polish (assuming to thin it out). They talked to each other the whole time, not to me very much. Total price of manicure/pedicure with 10% tip was $69. My nails looks nice at the cost of cross contamination. read more

the place I used to go to closed down due to a fire over 6 months ago. They won't reply to where the lady I used is working from so I haven't had my nails done in about 5 months. I tried a couple places like almond nails after for a couple times but they don't just use tips they put the nail almost up to the cuticle which is unnecessary thickness. they also on have tips that are pointed so I can't get my normal rounded/ oval shape. I finally decided to try Winnipeg Nails cause I've been missing nails. Usually I get liquid gel but she used some kind of powder and put it on soo thick and then didn't use the little sanding machine enough to make it look nice. I ended up leaving there with my nails too thick and lumpy and 2 of them were angled upward. it was horrible. I came home and immediately cut them as far as I could. Now I have to wait however many months itll be for this grossness to grow out. I wish it was easier to find a good nail tech. read more

I've been searching for a reasonably priced salon that does LCN nails. I have thin, weak nails and any other product life lifts around the edges after a few days. Not only does Wpg Nails provide the authentic product (hey, I've been to a few salons that claim on the phone to use LCN but change their story once you're 10 minutes into the appointment ...arghhhh!), they also throw in shellac colour at no extra charge. I left with a poorly done manicure. I called to see if they could a set of gel nails. This was my first time getting get nails. The person on the phone spoke English fairly well but when I arrived the nail technician (I'm not sure she was properly trained as a nail tech) did not. I dealt with a large language barrier. When I explained what I wanted to said knew what I wanted and she would make me happy. ( She stated this multiple times, especially when I questioned the product she was putting on, or the shape of the nail.) That was not the case! She started applying what appeared to be acrylic over my nails when I had asked for gel, when a questioned her she said it was gel. To make a long story short, I requested the same shape I came in with, which was my own nails in a natural shape, with a thin gel over the top. I really just wanted my own nails stronger with a long lasting colour. I left with square, super thick acrylic nails with a gel color polish, and damaged cuticles! When she would ask me about the shape I could not get her to understand that I didn't want square, I felt she was just doing what she new or what she wanted, one nail was even concaved. I finally gave up. I should have left half done because I was sure I was not getting what I had requested but I had an event that evening and I couldn't go with nails half completed. To top it off one of my nails flipped off in a week and when I went to another salon ( Madam's Nail - which did an excellent job) to fix that one. It turned out that all the others were all lifting and ended up flying off when she attempted to repair them. In addition it was not a very welcoming atmosphere. It felt tense the whole time I was there. Having your time at the spa is supposed to enjoyable, not stressful! Also, I 'm sure I was charged for gel nails but received acrylic. The general atmosphere was one where myself as a client felt like walking on eggshells. There were only 2other customers while I was there and double that in number of staff. WORST SERVICE EVERR!!! The first time I went there with an appointment booked they made me wait 20 min and when it was finally my turn the girl rushed through my manicure and almost injured me twice with the power nail file. The second time I booked an appointment and they made me wait 40 MINUTES!! Another customer came in after me and got served before me. I then asked when they would attend to me and they asked me to wait 5 more minutes, at which point I walked out and seeked service elsewhere. I'm never going back there again! read more

I recently gave up on my regular pedicure place and was looking for somewhere new. I just happened to be walking past Winnipeg Nails and decided to take a chance on it. What a great decision! This place is wonderful! They had everything I was looking for: great service, great work, great colour selection, wonderful massage chairs, a calm, friendly, relaxing environment, and best of all, low prices - $25 for an excellent pedicure. On the recommendation of my hair dresser I went for a pedi & mani at this establishment after years of going to the "Oasis" in the Clarion (I was tired of spending $100 for one visit) - the service was absolutely wonderful - the venue was clean with wonderful messaging chairs, attentive certified staff and parking for customers in the rear with a rear entrance. The cost was $45 including taxes for both the mani & pedi plus I gave a much deserved $5 tip. I would definately recommend Winnipeg Nails. read more

The place was dirty and they used instruments that had not been cleaned. Also my gel nail refill was awful and started to chip days after getting them done. they tell you that the 30.00 includes polish but then tell you you have to get shellac polish which costs 15.00 extra. Went in after reading these reviews looking for gel tips and a pedi. Me my girlfriend and 4 year old daughter. Of course with my luck I got the front desk lady doing my pedicure. I had to tell them 3 times that my daughter wanted her toes and fingers done. As there was only 2 girls working when we arrived ( a third came in 20 mins later) they started on us, not until mine which took the longest was done half assed did someone finally talk to my daughter about her nails and start them. My pedicure was interrupted every 7 mins due to the pone or someone else walking in. She forgot to put lotion on my right leg completely. So when I got a new girl for my nails I was optimistic. After she was halfway done putting the wrong size tips on every finger I was told to wait half hour for her to come back and finish. Even though we had been there an hour and a half already. I said no and she helped my friend then back to me. I have never been so upset about getting my nails done and I've gone multiple places and never walked away with all my skin not glued but geled to the nail it looked so awful. I told them like what is this? My friends were nice and thin and mine are thick and bumpy. Also my friend never gets gels, always acrylic. But they told her they don't do acrylic or airbrush even though they was both airbrush art on the wall and in the price lists. I cannot believe this place gets business.
