I've been bringing my family here for over 15 years because they do receive quality care and can be…read moreseen for sick visits very quickly. However, my biggest issue that seems to be becoming worse as time goes by is the inaccurate coding for our visits that leave me with higher bills and unnecessary copayments. Every time I take one of my children in for a simple flu shot, it gets charged as a sick visit and I receive a bill. Even when I try to address the problem before the appointment! I then have to call billing and explain there is no copay for preventative care. It gets taken care of, but it's seriously every single time. I also feel as though they use "creative" charges to "up sell" annual well-visits. At my daughter's last well-visit, we ended up with a copay because the new dr wasn't comfortable with one of the results. Then I had to schedule a follow-up (with yet another copay) only to have the regular doctor ask me "why is she here, she passed everything". It's a tough decision to stay any longer because I trust their care but not their business practices.

It takes countless phone calls to even get someone on the phone (legitimately 15 phone calls one afternoon to try and schedule a refill), the wait times have exceeded 2 hours in the waiting room (Maria has apologized personally for these waits), and if you go online to try and schedule an appointment with Maria you'll find she has no availability for over a month out which necessitates the 15 phone calls to schedule an appointment. I spoke with a receptionist about an appointment recently for 2:15pm and told her that I needed to be back home (5 mins away) for a 3:30 work call and she told me, "that won't happen". Assuming a 15-20 minute wait, a 15-20 minute appointment, and 5 minutes to check out, I'd love to know where the other 30 minutes comes from that would prevent me from back in time? Their focus has become "Cool Sculpting" and now "Cavallaro Aesthetics and Wellness" meaning the focus is now on "non-invasive fat reduction procedures". That's simply not a practice I'm interested in being a part of.

However, today I contacted them because I lost a lab order, and the receptionists were not as welcoming. I came around personally and without a good morning or proper greeting, they just stuck their hand out with the new order. I inquired about a potential appointment to one person, another lady from the side said "you will have to sit down and wait. There are 2 patients a head of you". I'm 150% okay with waiting, but be a little more welcoming. Not sure how was their day going, but I'm sure mine didn't have to get screwed up because of yours. Sorry for bothering you on a busy Monday.
