It was raining. I got a flat. I did not have the tools to change the tire. I was stranded on the street. I called a few tire shops close to where I was to see if maybe, maybe they might come out to me, and they flat out refused (no pun intended). Then I called Winxton Tires, and spoke with Rebecca. From the beginning, she was polite and attentive. I explained my situation and asked if someone could come to my location. In a nutshell, her husband and shop owner, Pete, came out to change my tire with my spare. It took all of 10 minutes. Like Rebecca, Pete was friendly and polite. I followed him to his shop and got all new tires that I admit, I needed. The tire prices were more or less as expected, but the real difference was in the level of service. From the beginning, both Rebecca and Pete were professional and courteous. It was a pleasure doing business with them and Pete went above and beyond by driving to me. I realize this is not a usual practice for tire shops and don't think Pete is on the business of making house calls, but he was so kind to do it for me that I am very grateful to him and I will recommend their tire shop to everyone. Speaking of ... The tire shop itself is a modest business but very clean, and again, Rebecca at the cashier station made me feel comfortable and at ease.
