Wir haben in der Umgebung gegessen und ich muss sagen, dass 3 Sterne in der Umgebung nicht mit dem Sonnenstück mithalten können. Wir hatten keineswegs "Fertig- oder Tütensuppen/Soßen". Die Gerichte waren frisch, ebenso die Zutanen (Jagdsaison), die Zubereitung sehr lecker. Allenfalls das Salatbufett könnte verbessert werden. Wir waren mit Kindern essen, diese wurden beschäftigt, durften sich bewegen und haben sich sehr wohl gefülht, was für uns wiederrum entspanned war. Die Bedinung ist "badisch höflich" aber Kinderlieb. Alles in allem war es ein gelungener Abend, wir kommen gern wieder!! read more

In short, the ambiance is wonderful, it is a house of mirrors that make the inner two rooms look…read moreimmense. Three of us ordered salads, Pfannkuchen, and venison filets with a potato gratin. All were rated very good to excellent. I loved the venison. The wine is all locally produced for the restaurant, and we enjoyed a trocken grau burgunder and a remarkable red produced by Franz Herbster for the house. I cannot rate the service highly enough. Young waitresses were efficient and professional, and the chefin was remarkably attentive and gracious. We are looking forward to the next visit when we might enjoy the outdoor spaces, which are lovely.
