Unfriendly and Hostile Behavior When we ordered drinks, the female server practically threw the beer mat onto our table, displaying an outright lack of courtesy. (1. The server sarcastically remarked, "Thanks to the energy of the table..." or in German, "Die Energie des Tisches..."--a completely unnecessary and rude comment when we were simply sitting quietly and waiting. (3. Unangebrachte Bemerkungen beim Bezahlen Während des Bezahlvorgangs, den wir nacheinander abwickelten, funktionierte das Kartenlesegerät kurzzeitig nicht. She used two beer mats to carry our used napkins into the tray, as though we were disgusting or unworthy of respect (see below illustration). The beer garden is self-service, which works incredibly well given the huge crowds they serve. Even on a weeknight, it was packed, but the service moved quickly and efficiently. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for from a Munich biergarten--lively, relaxed, and filled with locals. Its location away from the main tourist areas gives it a more authentic feel. A great spot for Bavarian food, beer, and a lively local beer garden experience.
