The second man told me that he would come out to do the estimate later that week. THAT WAS OVER 3 WEEKS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I still have not heard back from these people. They claim to be the #1 landscaper in Augusta... HA!!! Not a chance. They don't call you back, they don't do what they say they are going to do, they are disorganized and unprofessional. March 2024 update: The cable stabilizing the remaining two leaders on our basswood tree (ref'd…read moreabove) let go when one of the two anchoring screw-eyes came out of the leader, so I called Pinnacle back to inspect and offer a recommendation. Greg came, saw the problem, and explained that the technology has evolved somewhat since the original work was done four years ago: Now, instead of a cable, the best arborist practice is a reinforced band that goes around the leader on each end with a shock absorber in the middle of the span. That sounded good to me so we scheduled the work, and today Pinnacle's crew came to install the band. From the look of it, I'd say it is a clearly superior solution to this problem, and the cost was again reasonable. Pinnacle remains my recommended first call for any substantial tree work in central Maine.
