Taxes were a struggle with this company. They missed appointments we made, were difficult to get on…read morethe phone, and never called or emailed us when they said they would. By the time my family got our taxes done, the payment voucher didn't match the number on the tax return but none of them checked that. They said it was our responsibility to check that so they are not at fault even though it caused me to have to pay a second payment to the State Comptroller to finish paying taxes. We filled out a form 2553 with them to change the business filing, but have not gotten any confirmation that that was ever sent out. When I called to complain, they said they do not give refunds but would give a discount on future filings. I wouldn't let them do my taxes for free, so no discount will ever be enough. When you pay hundreds of dollars to make sure a complex tax return is completed, correct, and handled it is very frustrating to then find out so many things are missed after the fact.

Once I received the letter I contacted their office and they told me to email the letter to them. Once I emailed the letter they never responded to the email and would not take any of my phone calls. I called them numerous times only to be told that Phil Bryant, the owner would call me back. He never called me back and never emailed me back. This company is very unprofessional and doesn't care about their customers. Once they get your money they are not going to help if something is wrong with your taxes. This should have been my first clue of incompetence. Then I receive a bill in June from the MD Comptroller's office stating that I owe more than what was filed on my taxes. When I bring this to Joye and her teams attention. I don't hear from them for weeks. She goes on vacation for three weeks with no follow up response from the Comptroller's office. Now I am past my deadline for payment and will have to pay additional late fees. AVOID this business at all cost. They do not know what they are doing. In addition, effective, and timely communication with sensitive matters are not a priority.

During my initial call, I was left with the impression that they could help substantially reduce what I owed and arrange an affordable payment plan. Based on that conversation, I agreed to pay a $7,400 fee, which I had to put on a credit card. Looking back at the outcome, I do not feel the service provided justified that fee. The end result was a $100-per-month payment arrangement with the IRS. The lien remained on my property, interest continued to accrue, and the projected "savings" depended on what might happen to the remaining debt many years down the road. Meanwhile, the balance could continue to grow significantly. I never wanted to avoid paying my taxes. I simply could not afford to pay them at the time and was looking for help getting into a manageable situation. I am now working aggressively to pay down what I owe, while also still carrying the $7,400 fee I paid this company on a credit card. What is especially disappointing is learning afterward that arranging an IRS payment plan may have been something I could have handled myself relatively easily. I wish the costs, limitations, continuing interest, lien implications, and realistic outcome had been explained more clearly before I paid such a substantial fee. My advice to anyone considering this type of service is to slow down, ask very specific questions about exactly what they can accomplish for you, get those answers in writing, and understand what options you may be able to arrange directly with the IRS before paying thousands of dollars.
