What can I say except my treatment was just short of miraculous! A few years ago I cut off the very tip of my left thumb. Because there was no involvement with the bone, the hand surgeon couldn't do anything for me. For the last three years I've been living with a chronic ache in my thumb and the skin was numb. The VA suggested I try acupuncture, and I am so glad they did. After the first two sessions, my nerves have reconnected. I have more sensation in the left thumb than the right! The ache is gone. They even helped with some other issues in my hands and arms. If you are suffering from chronic pain and the medical doctors can't help you, these folks just might. They might have a good acupuncturist but this is not the place to go if you're stuck in between a rock and a hard place. They were unable to accomodate me after I spent 20 minutes driving around Lovers Lane looking for their business. There was no sign that I could see, just a bunch of offices so I pulled over and called and was told that it was too late in the day for me to be seen. My watch had 5 minutes after the start time. I am from out of town so was supposed to be there 15 minutes early, not 5 minutes late, which I would have had I had been able to find the place. So if you are sick, stressed, and looking for immediate relief, make yourself some tea and stay in bed. They were not understanding or helpful and since I am from out of town, they just didn't care. read more

I've been going to the Wise Wellness Center for almost a year. From the start, the place is a calm clean and friendly with an excellent staff. They took good care of me and now my dad goes there too. I've gone 3 times for help with TMJ relief, and the associated neck and shoulder pain that I've dealt with for over 20 years. I've not necessarily seen tons of improvement, though I can say my shoulders haven't been as bad as they are typically. HOWEVER... at the last visit, I mentioned a hamstring knot that I've had for over a year that is so unbelievably painful I couldn't even stretch it out. I've tried everything - yoga, stretching, strengthening, tennis ball, massage, etc. She stuck 3 pins in it, and I can honestly say that I have not had this much relief EVER. The horrible sharp tight pain was gone the instant we were done, has been gone for 3 days, and it made me a true believer of the possibilities here. Acupuncture is my new best friend! I found out about Wise wellness center through a friend who told me about how much the treatments had helped her sinus problems. I was having problems with anxiety and depression and nothing I tried had helped. Melissa is really comfortable to talk to and was very knowledgeable. My stress level from being a caretaker for both of my parents was high. She asked me a lot of questions about my health and then she gave me a treatment. The needles were not painful at all and in about 2 minutes of laying on the treatment table I could feel the anxiety slowly leave. I hate taking medication and this really works.
