My wife was issued a store card at the Wish in Venice for a product we returned. We went there two weeks ago to shop in that store was closed. The card's value is $169.06 cents. Since the Venice Wish store was closed we went to the Wish on Main to use our store card. The proprietor told us that she would not honor the card from her other store because she "didn't have the equipment to verify the card's value". I went home and looked up our card's number at Store Card Manager and verified the cash value. We returned to the store with a print out of the card's value and again it was not honored because it "wasn't on their list". In the meantime, we have called the Proprietor (Jan), emailed her, sent Private Messages on Facebook and made other in person attempts to resolve the problem. Jan is simply stonewalling us and not living up to her obligation. I "Wish" I had read Krysta's review before shopping at this store. I echo her admonition.....Buyer Beware! read more

Bad experience, rec'd a or if sandals for a gift, wore them a few hours & they caused a sore on my foot Went to WISH & Jan, said she couldn't do anything because they were Worn!! & I didn't have a recpt She said she would send them back to the company ( I doubt she did ) waited 6 wks& heard NOTHING I FINALLY called Jan , said the co. Didn't see a defect & there's nothing more she can do. REALLY?!?! What happened to customer satisfaction ??? This is the only place in East Bradenton that carries Alex and Ani bracelets, hence why I stopped in. This place is your typical, fancy Lakewood Ranch shop. I was looking for a specific bracelet and was told it just came in, but had not been inventoried, so they could not sell it. That was kind of annoying. I was able to quickly pick something else out and they put it in a cute little gift bag, which is a nice touch. I will be back for Alex and Ani bracelets...but only because they are the only place in the area. read more

I had lunch on Main Street and had enough time left over to walk around and found Wish. I went inside to browse for a girlfriend's birthday gift, and I was immediately greeted by the two ladies behind the counter. There were various items like unique kitchen décor, cheese plates, colorful glassware, and they also carried Brighton jewelry, Pandora, Alex and Ani, Vera Bradley things. Although... unless you are specifically looking to browse the jewelry brands they carry, I did feel like the rest of the items in the store lacked variety and were limited in selection. But all in all, a good shopping stop if you're in the area. read more

I love the shop and the sales staff. I hate large department stores..all of which sell the same stuff. This shop stocks inventory similar to the inventory at St Armand's very expensive shops without the inconvenience of traffic, crowds and pay-parking. This is a samall shop, with individual customer service. Carries unique inventory of clothing and specialty items. I love it. I stop by often just to see what's new, what's on sale and for that item or gift that I need for the upcoming event. read more

Awful awful awful experience! Buyer beware! Went to Wish to Main Street to purchase a Mother's Day gift from Alex and Ani. The woman who helped me talked me into purchasing two bracelets in two different colors due to only having one left since I was torn which color my mother would like. I explained I would be returning one of them. Not ONE time did she ever say to me even during thr check out process that all sales are final! And could only be exchanged! I went to return and of course low and behold they would not issue me a refund. I explained the situation and why i purchased two of the same exact charm bracelets in a rose gold and regular gold and explained what their sales associate told me and I was told that none of their employees would do that. So not only did I not received a refund but they also claimed that I was lying. The customer service I received was atrocious to say the list. Completely disgusted and can promise I will never set foot into that store again. Clearly their motto is scamming people out of money! Buyer beware! read more

This store is very nice until u have a problem with a purchase. I was a very good customer there for 3 years. Spending $100-$300 each visit. Bought earrings there and went home with them and 3 necklaces ($250 in merchandise) and the backing popped off on one of the earrings. They attempted to repair it and the same thing happened! I asked for a new pair and they didn't have one. Couldn't get me one and said the manufacturer didn't take returns! They suggested I get them fixed! No one will repair them because the are acrylic so can easily be damaged further. I replied that they sold me something that I purchased in good faith and should receive a store credit at least. They were priced under $50. They refused! Not good customer relations to treat a customer this way. I was shocked and disappointed to be treated this way by a store that greeted me by my first name every time I entered! read more

I should've known after my horrible experience at this store over 5 years ago never to go back, but alas, I did. This was more of the same disgusting behavior by the store associate. My girlfriends and I had just been to the Starbucks on Main and decided to walk around a bit. Against my better judgement we wandered into Wish. I must mention here that we were 3 adult women. One of my friends had her half full Starbucks cup with her. She stayed near the door because I just wanted to run to the gift section of the store, I wasn't interested in the frumpy clothing section up front. All of a sudden like a tornado, a woman from the back comes running up to my friend and says drinks are not allowed in the store and she'll keep it at the register until we're finished shopping. Really?!?!? Taking a drink with a lid on it that is half full from an adult woman?!? What did you think she was going to do with it when she hadn't even made it beyond the front doors of the store? I'll get my Nora from Crowder brothers and go to Nordstrom rack for my Alex and Ani, no thanks Wish. I "wish" you to learn customer service because clearly your horrible reviews have taught you nothing, and shown the public that reads them, that you truly do not care about your customers. read more

I was in there last week to purchase a few pandora beads for my wifes bracelet. I always feel a little out of place in these kinda stores, but the ladies behing the counter made me feel very comfortable. They showed me all the available beads and offered opinions and advice. I would have been lost without them. Would definitely recommend this place for the high quality of service they offer. read more
