I really like this Pet Boutique. There were a lot of treats that are unique. The 8oz Chicken Jerky bag and the icecream is my boys favorite. I also bought a multi layered bone shaped tug/retrieve toy that my 90lb GSD demon chewer has not yet destroyed. The service is amazing and due to my boys limited exposure to indoor shops, our unique needs were met by allowing us in a little earlier. Heading there soon to restock. I happily recommend the shop. read more

Like the name implies, Wishbones is a Pet Boutique: baked goods, clothing, health supplies and of course, the nicest grooming staff anywhere. If they had soft seating, I bet people would hang out and enjoy the pet-centric vibe. Bailey Boy and the Jo-Jo are treated very well by everyone when they get groomed at Wishbones. If you have a four legged friend, tell them to wag more, bark less, and if they listen, reward them with a visit to Wishbones in Hanover. read more

Having a Norwich Terrier that requires hand stripping we have found very few groomers in the entire Boston area that do this procedure. We have been driving into Boston for years. It takes 3 hours to do so we hang around waiting on him to be done. Much to our surprise, Wishbones does hand stripping and they are right in our neighborhood. We took Jaxon yesterday for his first visit. First, they could not have been nicer during the booking of his appointment! Upon arrival we were greeted by Susan, the owner, and she could not have been more accommodating or welcoming and the woman behind the desk (sorry I forgot the name) was wonderful and so helpful. Suzzie the groomers assistant came out and started introducing herself to Jaxon. He loved her instantly. Then we got introduced to the most amazing groomer I've ever met....SARAH! She asked important questions about Jaxon and we discussed everything about the procedure. She said she would text me when he was ready to go home. 3 hours later I got a text and went in to pick him up. Omg.....it was the BEST he has ever looked!! He was so cute and what I noticed most was he was totally happy! If he didn't have a good experience I would know cause his ears go back and he only wants to get to me. Would would have stayed there all day! He loved Sarah and all the team at Wishbones! Hats off to Susan, Sarah and the wonderful team they have! You can count on us being "forever" Guests. This is THE CUTEST Pet Boutique for our Furry Family Members! We go about once a month to stock up on Treats. On Birthdays we ALWAYS get a Frosted Birthday Bone. There are tons of healthy cookies in adorable shapes and sizes. We have picked up some of doggies fave toys there! They have a "Beauty Salon" for Princesses or GROOMING. You need to make an appointment to have that done (like everywhere). The People that work there are SOOOOO NICE. I used to travel to Scituate to go specifically there but since the Hanover Store opened at Assinnippi, it's a 10 min drive. An adorable store! read more

Checked the hours and it shows open today. Drove all the way there and they were closed. No sign on the door explaining why. Doors locked and they weren't open even though the website says they were. Kind of disappointed because today is our dogs birthday and we had planned on getting them treats and some new toys. read more

Wishbones is a cute little boutique by the harbor. Most places like this have lots of over-priced things, but this one has many cheap/free things... $1 frozen yogurt in a penut butter cup, which my dog loved. complimentary low fat apple, pumpkin spice, blueberry penut butter treats. A basket of $1 dog collars and leashes. And my dog's favorite new toy...a mini sock monkey similar to the one I had as a kid! (okay, I lie...it's my favorite new toy of his...his favorite is still a dirty piece of t-shirt string, but whatever.) read more

I always feel compelled to check out little pet boutiques when I pass by them... they always have the cutest stuff! This store was so quaint and overlooked Scituate Harbor. Lots of stuff packed in a little shop that reminded me of a seaside cottage. Though a lot of the stuff is a bit pricey, sorry puppy... I will NOT be buying you an $80 bowl set, it's still fun to browse! Though the owner was engaged in conversation with another customer, she seemed friendly and as though she knows doggies very well! *There is a small selection of cat stuff too!* read more

If you have a pet or need to get something for a new pet owner, this place is fabulous!! So a member of my family recently got a therapy dog - a 140 lb Great Dane. I wanted to get the dog some treats and toys and a harness as he tends to pull. The store has a great variety of high quality treats, CBD oil, toys, grooming kits, leashes and beds; pretty much anything you might need for your dog and what they don't have on the floor, they can special order from a vendor. This store is soo much more than a store; they are a resource to anyone looking to be educated about dogs in general but also the traits of a particular dog breed. The owner, Susan, is lovely and incredibly knowledgeable about dogs in general but also specific breeds. Great Danes are gentle giants but tend to pull on their leashes and have sensitive stomachs (tend to get bloat more than other dogs) and are rough on plush chewy toys, lol. Susan recommended pumpkin treats, lamb and goat's milk for his sensitive stomach, a plush toy that was more durable than most (he still ripped it apart but it took months versus the same day like other toys) and special ordered a harness and leash that helps him pull less. My relatives came back to the store and Susan helped fit the dog into his new harness and even recommended a local dog trainer to address his pulling! Susan is thoroughly a dog lover through and through and an incredibly kind person. Word of caution: once your dog tries the treats from here, he will never go back to a milkbone dog biscuit!! Attached are pics of the dog's harness and sharky toy from here that he annihilated after a month (a record for him as he rips everything apart in 5 minutes). read more

You can also tell she has a definitely love for animals in her caring attention to whatever questions you may have. Wishbones is a gorgeous pet boutique. They do a wonderful job of merchandising in their small shop - everywhere you look, there's something to see! They have products that span the spectrum from budget-conscious to extravagant and everything in between. They also have a great selection of collars and leashes at reasonable prices. In fact, the same brands are sold there for $18 are in Marblehead and Charlestown for $24. The owner is friendly and non-threatening! As my sister was pushing me to buy the $38 collar while I was leaning towards the $18 one, the owner took my side (though, in the end, I bought the pricier one). As Christmas nears, I am planning to take a ride down to Scituate to shop for the dog-lovers in my life. Though the Northshore is over-run with pet boutiques, their selection does not compare to the beautiful, unique items found at Wishbones. read more

I stopped in here the other day to looking for natural/grain free food (unfortunately my dog has developed the worst allergies) and they had a huge selection of not only organic food but treats as well (I spoil her... oops). The lady working in the shop was super nice and really helpful, and my dog absolutely loves the treats I bought her. They had a lot of cute stuff for your dog too, including clothes if your dog is into that, but sadly my German Shepherd is not. I will definitely be back for the food and treats though! read more

Wishbones is an absolutely delightful pet boutique overlooking Scituate Harbor. I found the most fabulous, and affordable items throughout the store. This is a must visit shop in the harbor. Right next door to a great little breakfast place, it makes the perfect stop for browsing / presents buying on any morning. Who doesn't need an original "hostess" gift for the friend who loves pets?? Their bakery display case is amazing and chock full of creative and beautiful treats, too! See it to believe it. You will not be disappointed. read more
