We had an electrical issue with our hot water heater and required more than my skill level so we called Wisler. Initially, they didn't have anyone available to come by today but they called an hour later and said they had a tech in the area and that he would be over as soon as he finished the job he was on then. Darrell called and let us know he was on the way and fixed our issue, going what I would consider over and above the standard service. Courteous and professional, Darrell did a wonderful job and the cost for the services were much less than what I expected. I'm at a loss as to why we hadn't utilized Wisler's services sooner. We could have saved a lot of money and got more done for our money. I will not deal with anyone but Wisler from this point forward. read more

Don't call these people, they are total ripoffs. I had a shower head that was leaking. Not crazy , but needed to take care of. They're all nice with texts and tech photos. Guy came in, minimum "not club" fee to fix was $2120 ranging to $3355. I about fell over. This, mind you, was after I would have to arrange to have someone take out the shelving behind the shower!! Called another plumber down the street. He fixed in 45 min with quick trip to Lowe's. $275 total Including labor and parts. I paid them $100 to have them try and charge me thousands of dollars. After reading these reviews, seems I'm not alone. *update* On google they rebuked my review. The plumber who came and helped us works for a highly rated local construction company. He said they measured our pressure in the wrong place, double checked and it's fine. Should also mention they wanted to charge double the local industry norm for installing a new regulator. I am a diamond member 20 bucks a month for 10% of repair bills. So started the week with them coming out to do yearly included plumbing inspection. 3 hours later the tech did not find the loose shower head in the wall could not even give me quote to add a second filter and make repairs to existing filter attachments because a filter change the cheap holders keep pulling loose. Then he did an water test and told me my well water was acidic so I agreed to have a consult for a house filtration system install said ok then I received a call from consultants that said without them showing up it would any where from 7k to 10 thousands dollars told them to stick it checked national average for same job their quote was more than 2 to 5 thousand over the national average. I woke up Friday morning, 4/19/24 to no water. A plumber came out that afternoon and determined the issue to be electrical and didn't want to deal with it and said I needed to call an electrician. I called an electrician who had done previous work for me and was told he no longer did private residences, only businesses, and that I should call Wisler. I did and set up an appt. for 9 AM Saturday, 4/20, and was told there would be a $99 service fee. Fine. The technician came out and also determined the issue to be electrical. He was here about an hour, placing a call to his supervisor to clarify the issue. After more than an hour, he gave me an estimate with 3 options ranging in price from $3,800 to almost $7,400, depending on how many parts I wanted to replace. All estimates included a back-hoe coming out to trench from my well to the house. I told him I would get back to him on Monday, 4/22. He left and I still didn't have any water. On Monday I called a different electrician and he came out that afternoon. He identified the issue in about an hour and fixed it in about two more hours. Bill was about $500. So essentially I paid Wisler $99 to give me a multi-thousand dollar estimate and to not fix the problem. A similar situation occurred a little over a year ago when my pipes in my pump house froze and split. I called Wisler, they came out and again I was given an estimate of $7,000 to back-hoe a trench from the pump house to my house. I asked if they could just splice a water pipe from the well to the house, move the softener and filter up to the house and eliminate the pump house entirely. I was told no, that they would still have to trench for a new water line. I called a diffent plumber, explained the situation, and he said why not just splice a line from the well to the line to the house, move the softener and filter up to the house and eliminate the pump house altogether. Gee. What a revelation. So I did. With some things I replaced (softener, filter) it came to about $2,000. And that included him coming out with a back-hoe to knock down the pump house and to haul it away. I know this is very long but I wanted to give a full and complete picture. NO, I would NOT recommend Wisler, unless you want to pay someone $99 to give you a thousands of dollars estimate and to NOT fix the problem. Buyer beware. read more

Well the boys from Wisler came out because I had a leak in my basement ceiling. It is a drywall ceiling, so granted it's difficult to find the source. That's why I called a large well staffed, well known, experienced operation. They charged $100 just to walk through the door. Okay, it's worth it right, to hire the big boys? Not so fast... They decided after poking around for 45 minutes, that the source was a shower with deteriorating caulk. Assuring me that if I was a family member, this would be their advice. I agreed to that option. How persuasive. They caulked a partition in the shower. Haven't used that shower since. Next day, still leaking. Day after that, still leaking. So I called a general contractor who I've worked with in the past. They found the leak in 5 minutes. Did they remove a little patch of drywall? Yes. That option was offed to me by Wisler as a long shot second option. I did not take it as I'd previously been assured they'd called it right. Plus that option would have pushed the bill to almost $500. I went with the family advice. Paid $244 for the call, and a line of caulk. Problem is, they were wrong. So hey, you decide was it worth my call to Wisler? read more

Do not use this company, they are a rip off. Called them to fix a leaky bathroom faucet. Even though I agreed to let him fix it, paying $480 for 15-20 minutes of work is extremely outrageous. After reviewing the charge on the invoice for the labor amount, this is around $1,068 to $1,424 per hour. This is not a competitive price, but gouging to the extreme. read more

I originally called because there was an issue with my toilet. They ended up finding a problem with the drain and had to dig up the front yard. They were very professional. They contacted me each time before they came. They didn't leave a mess like most contractors. They came back and seeded the front yard and even pressure washed the driveway. A lot of companies could learn from them. Will always use them in the future. read more

My water line from the street to the house developed a 60 gallon / hour leak. I called whisler plumbing and the technician came out and assessed the situation and gave me an estimate of $6617 to install a new water line. This seemed extremely high, so I called Roger's Plumbing and Trenching and Jeff came out and said he thought he could most likely fix the leak without having to replace the entire line. After a few hours of work, he did indeed find the leak and repaired it. Total cost : $1350. Always get a second opinion with jobs like this. the smaller companies will almost always be less expensive than the large companies. In this case it saved me over $5000!!! read more

I called a plumber because I had a leak in my ceiling. When they cut into the ceiling, there were no pipes so that wasn't their fault. I asked if it could be the A/C unit but they said they didn't think so. They checked the shower and left me with an estimate to replace the shower fixtures even though the technician didn't think it was the shower either. He was just at a loss as to the cause of the leak. I called Bryson A/C to get that serviced and to see if they could see anything leaking and they found the problem. My complaint was paying $199 just for the service call because it was a Sunday, although they did tell me that upfront. But another $160 for the work of not finding the leak and an additional $25 service charge to cover the cost of plastic floor cover and booties. read more

I had an outside fan on a heat pump not working and I suspected the start capacitor. I asked Wisler to come check it out and the tech did confirm my suspicion. I asked how much to replace and he quoted me $420.00. I asked why so much. He broke it down into $89.00 for the service call and $331.00 for the capacitor. I told him that was outrageous for the part and he confirmed the price. Needing it fixed I authorized the repair. I have since purchased the exact capacitor for $20.00. That is a 16 times markup. I know they mark up parts, but 16 times. I will not be using this business again. read more

Wisler quickly opened the drains in my bathroom sinks, but in their haste and use of a metal "auger" to "clear the clog" they broke the flanges on both popup tubes. They left without mentioning that they did this. I realize that my popups are plastic instead of metal, but they should have been more careful. I won't use this company again! read more

Last Tuesday, Wisler replaced both elements and both thermostats in my water heater for just under $600. This included a $79 evaluation fee. In order to do the work, the tech had to drain the tank. When he left, he pointed to a small puddle of water next to the tank and told me that would dry up in a day or two. It didn't. I called Wisler back and told them about the water. The same tech came back out and tightened the drain valve. He ended up capping the valve to stop the leak. Wisler charged me a second $79 evaluation fee. You decide. I feel the tech should have insured the drain valve was completely closed before he left. Wisler apparently feels I should pay them for coming out a second time even though they left with a problem unaddressed. Should Wisler have taken the high road and stood behind their work? read more

We chose Wisler for our new A/C, Furnace, and ductwork install. Cheaper pricing and we're promised to have the work completed in 2-3 days at most. We were under the impression of 2-3 consecutive days, not 2-3 days a week apart from each other. We were always scheduled for service on Fridays. Having a new 6 month old in our house as well as 3 large dogs, going without AC on these very high summer temp days is absolutely miserable. We have had several issues with our install - too much refrigerant being put in the BRAND NEW unit causing cut offs on high pressure meaning no A/C blowing in our home, had to have someone come out after hours/over the weekend to level out the refrigerant, miscommunications on whether or not new ductwork was to be placed even though it was in our quote, issues with getting our flue line and chimney liner done, and now after we thought everything was good to go and finished....our refrigerant line is frozen up and again NO A/C in our house!!! We are very disappointed with all the issues we have had to endure with this install. Even though most of the employees we have dealt with have seemed professional, polite, and friendly we will absolutely not be recommending Wisler for any Heating or Air work. Wisler installed a tankless water heater replacing 2 old tank water heater. The 3 men performing this task were very professional, personable and hard working. We are very pleased with the results. We have hot water quicker than we did with the old system. We have used Wisler on several occasions and will continue to call them for plumbing needs. read more

She said that she'd get someone out to our house who was ready to work. I was calling for an estimate. She then told me that there would be a $69 service charge to estimate my multi-thousand dollar repair job. Forget them. If you can't send someone out to give me an estimate knowing that your company is price competitive, I can't and won't hire you. She didn't mention the fee for an estimate until she had taken 5 full minutes of my time. read more

My wife was the only one there during the repair and estimate. They did provide this estimate to her upfront, however that is excessive for 1 hour of work. Won't use again. I called Wisler Plumbing after coming home to my mother's house and hearing/seeing what I feared was a burst pipe but couldn't isolate the source. The woman who answered was friendly and took down our information. The technician Joey came out that same afternoon (on a Saturday) and quickly diagnosed the problem as being HVAC related. He helped temporarily fix the problem by shutting off the water supply to the humidifier while explaining what he was doing and why. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional and even made a recommendation for an HVAC repair company. He only charged the flat fee for emergency service, which was $69. I'd recommend Wisler. read more
