A screen door isn't just a screen door, as I just recently found out lol. Nice to know that you can colour match the mesh according to your exterior/interior. And it's a tougher, classier mesh that even offers UV protection, impressive. Tough, all because of their special magnet that really clicks which the worker showed us, not like the flimsy ones that we have. Something to consider for summer, as we all know how annoying it is to swat at those flies when eating all those yummy leftovers I get every day lol. Lifetime warranty on the parts but not the mesh, that's the half-star lol. read more

Absolutely the worst (not to mention expensive) consumer experience I have had. Here's the story: I needed retractable screens on my french doors to keep my cat in the house (he got hit by a car last year!) this past summer. I called and a technician came out to take a look and quote a price. I was quite clear regarding the purpose (i.e. keeping my pets inside) and even though the $900 price tag seemed steep, it was way less than the $6000 in vet bills so I decided to go ahead. He took all the measurements right then and there and said that it shouldn't take more than a week or two. Well, it did take longer (nearly a month), but at the end I had retractable screen doors that looked ok (they match the colours, etc). I should be happy, right? Well, turns out that retractable screen doors are not attached at the bottom and are actually quite loose. My cat found his way through the gap within about 5 minutes. I called to complain, they said that the technician claimed that I never told him it was for a cat.....totally untrue. This is the ONLY reason I would need to get these and both my pup and cat were under foot the whole time. In fact, several times I mentioned how happy I will be to be able to keep them in without worry. They did send someone else out to put in these special boards that they claimed are 99% effective at keeping cats in, however this flimsy cardboard piece that they left only delayed him by another 10 minutes before he found his way out again. I am now out $900 and am left with useless crappy retractable doors that would look ok if they served my purpose but now I just see them as huge eye sores. WASTE OF MONEY! Stay away! read more

These guys shouldn't even be in business. First off they are very expensive for what you get. There are other companies that offer the exact same products at better prices. Specially the security screen door. They were installing a door at my elderly parents house my mother inquired about the 1.5"x1.5" track in the bottom of the door opening and how she could trip. The installation guy made a joke that she would only make that mistake once. They should be keeping this guy in a back room somewhere!! Not dealing with the public. He's an utter embarrassment for this company or anyone else he might ever work for. read more

Awesome products and fantastic professional installation service. We had one large patio screen installed and two smaller windows with double wicket openings. As we have two cats, we opted for the heavy duty pet mesh for all screens. A little extra, but well worth the cost. Sure, I could have gone to Home Depot/Rona with some of those DIY versions and we also looked at around at some other local companies who were cheaper. Their materials seemed more flimsy and also the customer service wasn't that great (3 weeks waiting for a response to emails was just a little unacceptable). Anyhow, we opted to spend a little more and after reading the great reviews for Wizard Industries on Homestars.com, we opted to give them a try. Justin, the installer, came and did the measurements. Very professional. We were given a quote of about $350 for all three windows/Patio door with Pet Mesh. Sure a little more than anticipated, but I'm a firm believer of you get what you pay for. If you want a quality product, you kinda have to pay a little more for it. We were originally told that it was going to be up to 3 weeks for fabrication to delivery/installation, It turned out to only be two weeks. Justin came back, right on time and had the screens installed in about 30 minutes. Our condo feels so cool now. We didn't have the screens last summer and instead opted for a large A/C unit and kept the windows closed. Our electric bill was INSANE. We're looking forward to summer this year of just keeping all the windows open now to get the nice cross breeze and only use the A/C for the couple of days to a week in the middle of peak summer season where even the outside air is unbearable. The amount we'll save in our power bill this year will more than pay for these great new screens. What can I say, we're extremely pleased with our new screens. Would we recommend Wizard to our friends? Hell yes! Quality products (again, you get what you pay for), great and professional customer service and delivery quicker than expected. I paid over $1200 for a security door that was installed with a couple a huge scratches on the front of the door. Jason who is supposed to be there installation manager didn't even notice or care about the damage to the door. I asked to has someone else come to my home to repair/replace the door and Justine shows up with a chip on his shoulder and speaking down to me for asking to have the door repaired. It took over 2 MONTHS to have a door installed that was not damaged!!!! Customer service is nonexistent in this poorly run company that tries to bully you if you ever complain about the quality of work. read more

Wizard Industries posted a "like-it buy-it" awning to capitalize on advertising dollars in the Vancouver Sun. They have not returned the multiple phone calls to install the awning I purchased for over a month ago and when the installer (John) finally did contact me with an installation date he was agressive to the point of making me cry and it seems that they don't want to fulfill their obligation to install my purchased awning. NEVER EVER use this company and I would also be very wary of purchasing anything from the Vancouver Sun's "like-it buy-it" promotion. read more

We went to Wizard for fixed (non-retractable) screens for our windows and sliding patio door. We wanted to be able to open our windows and door, particularly on warm summer days, but ensure that our cats would not get out. We visited the Burnaby warehouse and looked at the product in advance, selecting the pet mesh. The Wizard team was professional and responsive to all of our questions. Not only that, but the folks at Wizard answered all of the questions that my strata committee had too. After much scrutiny, the Strata approved the Wizard product. We are very satisfied with the final product and would recommend Wizard for their fixed-screen products to anyone! While our cats have not yet tried to climb the screens, I am confident that the screens will stand up to any attempt the cats may make. Thanks Wizard! read more
