Historically have loved this place. But have noticed it lacking in previous trips. Last visit the bathrooms were dirty. Our salads came out with our entrees (super annoying) both of our steaks were overcooked. Had to send back our sides due to them being cold. Tons of fat on the steaks. Service was friendly but not the best. Love this place and hope they get it together. Lots of competition in town so it's important. Surprised to see a 4 star rating on here also, so others agree.

Pinewood Social is a fun spot for families or friends to enjoy a few hours. They have bowling, a restaurant, a bar, and a coffee bar. It looked like a spot where people can come to work too. Check their site for the garage to park in for three hours of validated parking. The garage is signed well so you'll know you are in the correct garage. Just make sure Metropolitan doesn't try to charge you. Bowling reservations are available through their website. They allow up to six people per lane. Each lane is $90 for 90 minutes. As a family of four we were able to play each game in about 30 minutes. Keep in mind that two lanes share one set of seating. It would be pretty tight if a party of six was sharing a lane with another party of six. For some reason another group was placed right next to us when we were the only two groups there at the time. The other group asked to be moved, but I'd recommend they space people out when it isn't busy. The bowling was a really fun family activity for us. My daughters, 2 and 6 had a great time. There was a good variety of bowling balls so we were able to find the weight we needed. Scoring is manual using a computer at each lane. The lane we were on functioned properly for our games. The helper stands for kids were available. The helper stand was perfect for our two year old. Food and drink can be ordered at the lanes or in the restaurant. We opted to have drinks only while bowling. Our server set us up with a table in the restaurant after bowling. The service here was great. We were checked on frequently while bowling. Service was smooth on the restaurant side as well. The food and drink menu offers so many great options. You can't go wrong with Crema coffee. I enjoyed my usual Cortado. The Bumpy Teeth Mocktail was also delicious. My husband and I shared the Shrimp Po'Boy and Green Chile Brisket Sandwich. The Shrimp Po'Boy was decent, but very light on shrimp. I really liked the brisket sandwich which reminded me of a pot roast sandwich. I wouldn't say we got any green chile flavor from it. I opted for a salad as my side and it was fresh with a tasty balsamic dressing. This was a fun morning activity for my family. I'd love to return to meet up with friends or when family is in town. It's convenient to have an activity and food all in one spot.

We love this place, our servers were very patient and able to attend all our needs, I feel we all ordered a bunch of things and the price was fair for all we got, also the place is huge and nice for a big party, their bar area was also very big, they have a bunch of restrooms which I love, thanks for been so considerate on that. They also give my sister (the bride) a congratulations note, that was beyond the nice surprise.

I went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. We had a reserved table with a bowling lane. Service could have been a little better as they didn't check in often or when a new person arrived they didn't get a drink or bowling shoes. I will say the real shock came when discovering how much the person who made the reservation paid for the area, and the difference between what's advertised vs how they had to check out. I would say the price is not worth the experience in my personal opinion. Was it a good time? Sure. The pretzels I had were good but again, just not worth what was paid.

Took my family here for Easter brunch and enjoyed a wonderful meal! We were pleasantly surprised to find validation for 3 hours free parking once inside the restaraunt, though it's worth noting you'll need to walk a few minutes from the parking garage to the door of the restaraunt. Our server was really cheerful and kind, she really played up the holiday and ran us through the menu very well. Service was almost ~too~ attentive towards the end of the meal, I'm not sure if they were trying to flip the table but it felt like every 30 seconds a new person came to the table trying to clear our plates. Everyone was super friendly, just felt a little rushed towards the end. But the food was really great!! We ordered from the special Easter Brunch menu, starting with the basket of biscuits and maple butter which were divine. The brown butter pecan sticky bun was insanely decadent and delicious I split the chicken and waffles with someone and they kindly split it in the kitchen for us, the chicken was a real piece of breaded chicken breast and was very tasty. Some others at the table ordered the churro French toast, ham and egg Benedict, coffee and cocktails and said everything was great. They had the Easter bunny roaming around which was a fun festive touch, the light and airy atmosphere also added to our perfect brunch! Would definitely return with visitors

Fantastic break from the chaos. Lots of games craft cocktails and good food. Inside and outside areas!

Cool restaurant, bar and bowling alley! We walked here from our hotel, so can't comment on parking. We weren't super hungry but we wanted to grab drinks. We got sparkling wine and a few cocktails. We also snacked on the hush puppies that came with pimento cheese. The drinks were amazing, but to our surprise it had LA prices. Eek! The hush puppies were good too! Everything on the menu looked good, but unfortunately we were not hungry enough! I would love to come back and try other items.

The vibe is dark, rustic restaurant with lots of cozy seating and open space. We went with a party of 5 and sat in a booth tucked away in the corner. Ordered the hummus with a side of pita bread, a Chutes and Ladders cocktail, and the short ribs. The hummus and pita bread was phenomenal-- the hummus has some chili oil and was topped with delicious roasted squash that I can't stop thinking. The cocktail was heavy on the sweet side, and I couldn't finish it. The short rib was very tender. Service was super quick and the staff were constantly checking in on us. Overall, great place and I'd come back again

What a tease, coming here for work and not getting to bowl! Cute retro restaurant that was a little hard to get to with construction happening nearby. Our group had no trouble getting seated. The mint espresso tonic drink I got was refreshing. The French Dip was very bread-y and not super memorable. Service was good. Overall it was a decent outing - there's just a lot going on here. Solid place for either brunch or dinner, especially for large group events.

Service is very attentive, this hummus is AMAZING!!! The chili oil on top is a great touch. The fluffiness of the naan is also perfect! Very relaxed setting, people working, work meetings, brunch parties, fits all vibes!

A local suggested we check out Pinewood Social for brunch and it was a great recommendation. We arrived early on Saturday afternoon and had to wait about 20 minutes beyond our reservation time. The dining room was buzzing and everyone seemed to be having a fun time. It's in a funky location that challenged our Uber driver's GPS. Like a lot of restaurants, it features that industrial décor look inside. The dining room is massive, with a small bowling alley in the back. Outside is a pool for all kinds of activities. The menu is deep and I could see myself, if I was a local, having weekend after weekend of tastings of additional brunch menu items. We started with the soft pretzels and they were almost a meal in themselves. Loved the cheese dipping sauce. The Challah French Toast was super delish with berry compote and maple syrup. The side of bacon was tasty, but seemed a little under-cooked. Our server Katie did a nice job helping us make menu selections and keeping an eye on our table to ensure we had a great experience.

Really unique place off the beaten path. We rented a couple scooters to get there from our downtown hotel. We didn't have reservations for brunch but were able to get a seat by the bar. The service was friendly and professional. We tried the avocado toast, shrimp and grits, and a regular bacon and eggs plate. Shrimp and grits were the best. Avocado toast was flavored with spinach and other vegetables that added a vinegar taste that was too strong for my liking. The bacon was crispy and delicious. Really liked the style of the social with the bowling alley in the back. Better bring your wallet, it can get quite pricey

Ask the Community - Pinewood Social

    Where should people park?

Parking garage behind Pinewood off Lea Ave. Parking is FREE with validation. Don't forget to bring your ticket to the host stand!

    Do they do bottomless brunch?

I don't believe so. Wasn't listed on the menu.

    Is there a happy hour?

I think they used to, but that might have changed since COVID.

Is it possible to host a baby shower here? Do you have a separate room?

I didn't see a separate room. People were having a birthday party in the bowling alley area though. You could rent out all the lanes?

Do I need reservations for lunch around noontime?

Absolutely! Nashville has become I SANELY busy and I recommend reservations anywhere you go!

Is this place kid friendly for a late dinner?

I didn't notice any reasons why it wouldn't be kid friendly at any hour

Do they serve food in the bowling alley or only in the dining area?

Pinewood Social serves food in both the dining area and the bowling alley.

Would you bring a 3 year old here at 5pm in a Friday or would it be better to book earlier in the day? It's the only time daddy can make it.

I personally think this would be fine on Friday at 5:00 for a 3 year old. But I don't live in the area so I don't know for sure.

Are people in their bathing suits by the pool?

Bathing suits are optional...oh wait... it's not my choice. The answer is yes, but lots just soak their feet with their shorts on! Have fun!

Is it possible to reserve space at/near the pool?

There are two "dipping" pools. Not sure about the size and depth, about 20'x20' and about 2-4 ' deep. And seating is on a first come, first serve basis. This is a fun place,… Read more

When does the pool open? (What month? Is it open now?)

    Summer time!

Are the pools open in the winter?

No, they are closed in winter

Could I bring a large group here? Say 15 people?

It will take some time to get that group at a table but if you wanted to do the bowling lanes it would probably be best.

    Are kids allowed here?

Yes! Went with my two year old niece. Don't recall there being a child's menu but they were very accommodating

Do you need reservations, if so how easy are they to make?

You do not need reservations for eats or bar for sure. Great food!

    Is it Dog friendly?

No its not pet friendly but its so awesome would leave dog home... LOL

Here you can enjoy bowling, a small arcade (with loads of pinball), a few bars, a casual menu of bar friendly eats, and two stages of music including one larger for bigger acts. The show we came for was also a public radio fundraiser so they had shows going in both venues, the smaller being more casual without a cover. The larger was ticketed and we breezed through security easily and got our bracelets so we could go back and forth. That venue is actually pretty darn big with most of the crowd on the floor, though there is a small, narrow balcony of sorts upstairs (really only good for one or two rows deep). Sound was great and the crowd was really friendly and welcoming (maybe it was a fundraiser thing but it was a good group). After we saw the band we came to see we stayed to watch some more of the next act but wanted to make sure we could grab some food so we headed to the main bar and ordered just before they closed the kitchen. I went with the chicken fingers and tots and my husband went with the shepherd's pie. He wasn't sure how a music venue/bowling alley shepherd's pie would be and he said it was fantastic! My chicken fingers weren't anything particularly special but they were really good. And the tots? SOLID TOTS. Overall we had a great time! We had a bit of an uber drive from our hotel downtown but it wasn't too bad. There's also a huge parking lot if you choose to drive. I'd love to come back just for a fun night out here, even if there isn't any music to check out.

It's nice to be able to drink a cold beer in a room that is only 52° and it stays cold. Had a couple of beers and an order of fried pickles while we were playing. The fried pickles were really good with a thick crispy breading. We did stay around afterwards for a late lunch. They are thin steak fries and are crispy and they give you a lot of them. I would come back just to have drinks and food, even if I didn't want to curl. This is a great venue that is quite large with a lot of things to do and to entertain groups. Good service also.
