It's small, but has a very efficient and dedicated staff. From the get-go, I could see and feel the difference. They were diligent, helpful, shared their knowledge with you and made sure to explain things accurately. They've treated my dog for various reasons and have always managed to give her back to me with her tail wagging and in much better health. I would recommend them to anybody, hands down. The team at MVH really takes care of you, and more importantly, your pet.

I took my cat there three times and each time she would jerk her hand away from my cat when he resisted being examined. To be fair, he's an obstinate kitty but he's 100% not vicious. His claws are trimmed (by me) and he nips a bit. I would understand an average person being cautious, but a vet reacting by jumping away? Not cool. Every time I went, she tried to convince me to sedate him. And every time my cat was more afraid. I also find that they are very quick to additional tests and treatments. My cat is energetic and playful, his coat is healthy, he eats well, is a healthy weight and stays indoors. Because she couldn't examine his teeth, she recommended I have him sedated to get X-rays and a teeth cleaning (even though from what she did see his teeth were ok). It all felt excessive and I eventually went to another vet who knew how to handle my cat better and took a less invasive approach. Maybe we just had different life/medical philosophies but I wouldn't recommend this for a cat with any spunk unless you don't mind medicating for each trip.

We brought our Sir Oliver ( Yorkshire Terrier ) at the Hospital. He had already passed in our car…read moresurrounded by loved ones. The staff(s) and especially France, were extremely graceful, empathetic and comforting towards our recent grief. She brought us unto a private room to mourn our little Oliver and explain to us - step by step - the procedures for a private cremation that we desired. The very next morning, she called us to see how we were holding on with our mourning. We will be eternally grateful to France who demonstrated such love and understanding towards us. We HIGHLY recommend this Hospital for the excellent service - with the vets as well with the technicians and receptionists - and human touch that they had towards our furry baby Oliver. Pour l'aider à traverser sa dernière étape sur cette terre, nous avons eu la plus belle rencontre que nous pouvions imaginer. La vie a mis sur notre chemin Dr. Véronique Parent. Elle est venue à mon domicile, permettant ainsi à Léo de partir doucement, sans stress, sur moi, assise sur son sofa préféré. Dr. Parent a démontré que la mort est aussi un passage qui peut être fait en douceur, avec le respect que mérite mon Léo, que de pratiquer l'euthanasie peut aussi être un "soin" donné à son chat, Un soin, un rituel de passage de cette vie qu'il a tant aimé, à qui sait où maintenant, il est. Malgré ce que j'écris ici, je n'ai pas les mots assez Grands pour remercier et partager l'honneur que nous avons eu de connaitre Dr. Parent. My 2 friends thought (after visiting other vets), they were going to have to put down their cats. In both cases, the solution was simple and the cats got better. In my case, I will ALWAYS go to Dr.Marku for a second opinion when in doubt. I'm too far for regular visits now but when my cats are sick and other vets don't know, Marku always does. 3 times his diagnostic was spot on when other vets (after expensive tests) were still off. To be honest, I've never met a vet I didn't like, but Dr. James Rassi at the LaSalle Vet Clinic goes above and beyond. I took one of my cats recently who had some blood in her urine for an x-ray. When I entered the room with the x-ray scan on display, the technician was still in the room. I took advantage to ask her if the scans appeared normal. She said something to the effect of "well looks like she has some stones..." This freaked me out as I was terrified of my cat having bladder stones and needing an expensive & risky surgery. A minute later, Dr. Rassi walks in smiling. To be clear, he was wearing a mask, but his delight was visible regardless. In my panicked state, I snapped, "why do you look so happy... she has stones!" He quickly reassured me that in fact it was only kidney stones, something quite common with mature cats. No surgery would be needed, and she'll be fine with some additional vet food. After realizing my mistake and absorbing the good news, I was so thrilled that I could have hugged him. As mentioned earlier, I've had great vets for decades, but none quite as passionate and kind as Dr. Rassi. He is truly one of a kind and your pet would be lucky to be in his care.

Wow... I can't believe I almost didn't give this place a shot because of the other reviews. So…read morepleasantly surprised and we have found our new vet clinic for Irie!! Will definitely be comin back here for all our pet needs. We called first. I asked questions regarding starting a new file fee (0$), consultation fee (65$ per visit), and how many vets they had (3...with a 4th on maternity leave until October). I explained we had heard bad things about the owner lady vet (as per other reviews) and preferred to have a different vet than her: no problem we were told and not the slightest hint of attitude or anything. That was impressive! And a good sign. After discussing and deciding we would take a chance with this place...we called back and got an appointment for within less than an hour with Dr. Teresa Sweet (it seemed like a pretty good omen). The place is close to us, so we had a nice walk over. Entered the super clean, well organized, tiny clinic and were greeted and sat to wait. There's help urself coffee and coloring books for the kiddos. The products are surprisingly decently priced for a vet's clinic. (Ex 63$ for a super quality hypoallergenic large bag of dog chow is totally reasonable!) We were called shortly after our arrival and the technician Isabelle was absolutely fantastic with Irie. She saw Irie was nervous so right away asked us if it was ok to give her a treat...that gained points with both Irie and us! She was friendly and helpful and explained so much to us, helping us feel better that we are not to blame for poor Irie's allergies n ear infection. She also patiently showed us how to clean her ears and made sure we felt comfortable doing it ourselves. Then we met with Dr. Sweet...Irie's new vet. She was just perfect! Young but knowledgeable and so super caring and thorough! She examined Irie with tenderness and was exactly as her name: sweet, the whole time. They had many, many, many opportunities to price gauge us ...but they didn't, not once. They even asked if we wanted to pay for the infectious material to be tested or just blindly give Irie a med which may or may not treat the infection (we obviously paid to have it tested being that Irie is so sensitive to meds!). We'll be back in two weeks for a follow up and are so appreciatively happy to have found these wonderful people to care for our pets!!!
