Also great roster of radio personalities! The station has a vast line-up of shows available to listeners. You can check out several local shows and a few syndicated shows. The station's general manager is very knowledgeable. He's even responsible for winning a Stellar Award for his radio involvement. WNRR Gospel also has good advertising packages for churches, new businesses and established businesses. Although they are in the radio arena, they work well with other mediums. The station has a robust website and social media presence. I recently visited for the grand opening event and I'm expecting great things. I was impressed!

In an effort to share these awesome events we lean on many of the Christian radio stations in the area. Here's why WAFJ is special. WAFJ provides a free platform for churches and even nonprofits that qualify to record spots for your event. Free public service announcements for churches and nonprofits. The station's general manager shared "That's why we're here." The station is located in North Augusta, SC. It was very easy to find. The building cannot be missed once you reach the road. Additionally, the station has two branded van outside, which prove you're in the right place. The WAFJ receptionist is very nice and accommodating. She welcomed me as soon as I walked in and the waiting area is very cozy and comfortable. Additionally, once I moved to the studio, the GM guided me through the process of recording and it took less than 15 minutes. The staff is talented and very savvy when it comes to recording commercial spots. The spot turned out awesome. I would encourage people to tune into this station and be ready to experience great hospitality if you visit the office.

I was trying to locate a copy of the Columbia County News -Times because there was a feature and an…read moread I wanted to see. I live in Richmond County, so I had to drive about 5 minutes to Columbia County to seek it. I was unsuccessful after a couple of attempts, so I called the Columbia County New -Times offices. I was greeted by a very friendly voice and she was helpful. She gave me a list of some of the locations where the paper could be purchased. I struck out at a few because I didn't have change for the newspaper rack. She'd mentioned several times during our call "If all else fails, just drop by the office." I dropped by and they had several papers on hand. She provided me with one and encouraged me to even submit events and pictures for future issue. This newspaper has a hometown feel and it's only distributed on Wednesdays and Sundays, but it definitely captures the pulse of the Columbia County area. During my time in Aiken and until I got about halfway to Columbia, this was my set for tunes. Billy Joel, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac. Decent stuff that I could have on the radio while I was plugging away at my keyboard or cooking dinner. This is, as the masthead says, "The authority on Gamecock sports". The best parts of this are the 2…read morecolumns by Glenn Snyder and Dexter Hudson, 2 unabashed Gamecock reporters and fans. Gamecock fans get enough negative press from their own hometown newspaper and certain axe-grinding columnists-they don't need another. It is refreshing to read the tabloid style newspaper that is the official publication of the University of South Carolina. The S&F carries uncut transcripts of the coaches press conferences-uncut, emphasizing no reporter with an agenda can interject himself between the fan and the coach. The S&F comes with most Gamecock Club memberships. Long live the S&F! ---- Update: looks like the tabloid style paper has kicked the bucket. They did not help themselves, the newsprint edition never changed, they had no social media presence: no Facebook, no Twitter, nothing. The publication was way behind other Athletic Departments publications. Hopefully Glenn and Dexter can be column writers for the new iteration of whatever the S&F will be. They were the best part of the publication.
