Needed a couple yards of crushed stone to finish off drainage behind some stone retaining walls. Don't have much time generally juggling work, family, summer vacations, sports, etc. I called WM Biers this morning (because I forgot to call earlier/last weekend) and they were able to accomodate my schedule for delivery the same day (today), their dispatch called ahead as they said they would, and driver/truck were here with the delivery exactly as scheduled. The driver was able to navigate the narrow driveway and drop the stone exactly where I wanted. Good service, good driver, good product. This place is amazing. As a new home owner I fell into the trap of buying bag mulch from Home Depot and spending way too much. Then a fell into a second trap of paying a pro to do my yard who said mulch cost him a fortune which is why he had to charge me an arm and a leg. Then I found this place and it was mulch heaven. We have a truck so we just pull up and tell the guy which pile of mulch we want and they quickly plop it in the truck and give us a slip. I've seen people lugging home bag after bag of mulch from the local big box store, and I'm here to tell you that they're crazy. Nope, if you need a lot of mulch you should have it delivered. I've been getting mulch from Biers for a long tome, and it's always a good product and their service is always friendly and hassle-free. Place your order and they'll bring it to your house and dump it in your driveway or wherever. I can't speak for their delivery area, so check with them on that point. Look, if you'd prefer to buy it by the bag and drag it home (and probably pay more) be my guest. Or you could go where the landscapers go and have it show up at your house in a dump truck.
