Drove in and drove across the scale waited a while and nobody waved or tried to get my attention. Lady just sat there minding her business. Drove to the back and looked around and nobody said anything or came up to me. Got out my van and found somebody and they told me to just drop everything off by the back where the metal plates were at. Dumped everything there and drove back over the scale waited and still the lady at the scales didn't say or wave at me. Parked my van and the spoke with the cashier who some what helped me out and told me to speak to someone else. Found another guy there and he told me to speak to the lady in the scale office. Well she was worth a dam. She told me she told somebody that she radioed somebody in the back and guess what. I spent 10 mins back there and nobody showed up. Guess what the manager had the nerve to say oh put yourself in her shoes. Well buddy if there wasn't scrap people to scrap there would be a souther core. He needs a person sitting on the scale to be attentive to who's coming in and out like a affirm corporation/business. Not someone who apparently has problems with making contact with the customer. So I went and dumped my compressors in the back and told the guys at the front what I dumped. They told me what I dropped back there isn't suppose to go there. The guy at the front told me wow they a different department they should know better though. Long story short I had to complain and find somebody to complain to because nobody seemed to care because it was lunch time or it wasn't there problem. They also take non-working batteries, copper wires, and other recyclable material. Are you getting any great ideas yet? If you have a truck, haul the junk metal to this place and sell it! I always find broken appliances like refrigerators, washing machine, oven.....etc. around dumpsters. Tri Star always try to honor competitor prices on recyclable metals. This place is a recycling center so it is not the most appealing place. They are friendly people, though.

They weighed the cans and they weighed the iron, however they DID NOT weigh the wires, the cast aluminum OR the brass. How did they KNOW how much of those I took in? BY SIGHT!!! WHAT!?!? Immediately I was skeptical when he handed me a payment for my metals I truly felt was low, so I asked for a receipt (since they did not give me one). The ONLY metals on the receipt i was paid for were the cans, the cast aluminum and the iron. My guess is since I had quite a few pounds of each, but not much of the others. When I questioned him about the wires, he said, "You don't have much of those. You're looking at maybe a dollar. I can give you another dollar if you'd like." I told him nevermind as i didnt want to make a scene. But if he was willing to give me a dollar for the wires, why wasn't I paid it initially??? Please believe me when I say this is not about the dollar. This is about honesty which they claim to have. An honest business would have had every item I took in on the receipt. An honest business would have weighed out, individually, every type of metal I took in. They did neither of these my friends. And I'm still wondering how much I should have received for my brass too. In summary, I have absolutely NO TRUST in this business, and I WILL NEVER take my metals to them again. It makes me wonder how many honest people selling their metals to this business have been shorted money they most certainly deserved. Honest people who, more than likely, were selling metals to make ends meet in their lives. Bad form, Tri Star . . . BAD FORM!!!

I was only expecting about $2.00 for the amount of cans I got but it came to $4.50 and I was thrilled! I had been meaning to recycle in order to declutter & it's good for the environment plus a bonus to get a few bucks! :-).... So I proceeded to the front office with my ticket and TDL ( Remember to bring your I.D. & you will have to do the fingerprint deal). The young lady working the window was cool & explained the process. The lobby is SUPER NICE... the aesthetic is perfect for this place of business and I love the friendly yet helpful warning sign posted between the payment machine & the service window... check out my pics below. So I received a payment ticket that you scan over at the machine to get your cash! Cool operation! They also have stickers free to the customers, so help yourself!
