I mean, average at best. Service was super friendly and the iced tea was delicious. I came here on a whim to eat with my best friend and our first choice wasn't open, so I settled on this. Eating Chinese can be tricky when you're gluten-free. Luckily for me soy sauce doesn't bring me pain like consuming other gluten does. The combination fried rice was ok. It wasn't anything special. They gave me just a few shrimps and as per usual they're always over cooked and tough. I ate it. It wasn't the worse, wasn't the best. My only other qualm is that they wouldn't let me order boneless spare ribs, even though they offered it with the poo poo platter. I was annoyed because this is my favorite Chinese food. So that was a disappointment. My friend enjoyed her food though. I doubt I'll be back as I'm not in the area often.

Order form here time to time and the last three have been just terrible.... undercooked veggies, white instead of fried rice, soggy dumpling with no flavor, over cooked ragoons that look like someone blew a load in, and I could go on, but I'm just getting more irritated. Last experience was of the same quality, so if you wanna spend 40 bucks on terrible Chinese food this is THE PLACE!! Photos below..and yes that's 40 dollars in food shown....

    a box of rice

This place charged me $30 for them to serve me day old rice and you could tell they don't wash their rice and undercooked veggies everything tasted old I understand this is a small town but the icing on the cake is when they told me they charge for chopsticks and have a 4% charge on all cards

A few reason why I love this place: fast, super friendly and attentive. The chicken curry was simple and delicious with fresh, firm mushrooms and green peppers. My kids lived the egg drop soup with rice in it (I'm just glad they ate it). This place is such a nice break from the hustle and noise of the many touristy franchises.

It doesn't look like much but they're speedy and have the food done when they say they will. It's easy to find as it's on the main drag.

Quality, flavor, presentation were simply top notch! It just so happened to be oyr servers birthday as well, so that was fun & she was so sweet & accommodating... the atmosphere is is wonderful with the distillery, gift shop & a view of the river right out on the terrace if you want to eat outside. We saw a mother & baby deer right across from us and a whole family of geese with their gosling. We loved the place so much, we came back 2 days later for lunch before leaving the area. Take the Distillery tour & buy some amazing infused balsamic vinegars, oils, bourbon, brandy, bourbon BBQ sauce, scented candles & other before leaving. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We will come back & visit more of Baraboo just to eat here again!

The cool thing is if you arrive earlier to your tasting, you can bring the drink with during the tour. I love the atmosphere and really enjoyed the tour guide!

On our ongoing quest to visit all the supper clubs in Wisconsin (with the list hovering around 260,…read moreno easy feat), we recently stopped by The Cove Supper Club while staying at a cabin in Briggsville. The Cove serves up the usual supper club fare with, in true supper club fashion, the option to stop at the bar prior to being seated at your table. We decided to just go ahead and order drinks at our table vs the bar and were able to be seated immediately on a Saturday evening (it was a bit earlier in the evening, but still--nice!). For an appetizer, we ordered the bruschetta, which was solid. It was served with a sprinkle of parmesan and a drizzle of balsamic. For my cocktail, I ordered their bourbon old fashioned. It was also good. My dining companion ordered a Bulleit bourbon Manhattan, requesting it served up with cherries. It ended up coming served with olives, which is an oddity we've only come across in Wisconsin. He decided to give it a whirl (rather than sending back) and I had a sip as well. We're both decidedly not fans. So...lesson learned on that one! For dinner, I opted for the broiled shrimp and brussels sprouts. The shrimp were plump and broiled to perfection and came with lemon and cocktail sauce. Delish! The brussels sprouts were steamed, which isn't my favorite method for cooking sprouts (would have much prefered oven roasted or sauteed). That said, they tasted fresh. My dining companion ordered their Wisconsin Jambalaya, which was an interesting mix of bratwurst, chicken, shrimp, and rice covered in a spicy wisconsin cheese sauce. I had a taste and thought it was great! Meals come with soup or salad and a dinner roll as well (which was soft and warm!). Our server was friendly and efficient with our meal nicely spaced. Of course we finished the evening with sharing a Grasshopper dessert cocktail, which was simply presented but delicious. Get to it!

The place had a decent lunch crowd, but was by no means packed, so we figured it would be quick to get food for the kids. Our waitress came to get our drink order pretty quick, but then service slowed for receiving our drinks, ordering food, getting our food, and getting her attention for a to-go box and our bill. As for the food, we ordered the Bangor, which had shrimp and haddock and choice of two sides where we chose the corn muffins and beans. We also got the Nashville hot chicken sliders with sweet potato fries, kids chicken tenders, and kids burger with fries. The kids meals were both quite generous portions, especially the chicken tenders. The tenders were nice and juicy with a crisp exterior and one of the best things ordered. The kids burger was overly charred and had a little burnt taste, so the child wouldn't eat it and ended up eating the shrimp from the other meal instead. The Nashville hot sliders were decent sandwiches and quite large, but were by no means Nashville hot, more like somewhere between mild to medium spice. The sweet potato fries were great though and went well with their bbq sauces. The fish and shrimp received mixed reviews from the two people that ordered it. The corn muffins were definitely something that we would get again and also worked great with the bbq sauces. Overall, it was fine with some good and some not so good. The price is a little higher than some restaurants with similar offerings, but the portions are quite large, so maybe that's the tradeoff. Not sure if this is going to get added to our rotation, but they did seem to have some good happy hour deals, so maybe for that.

They have many options to choose from. They have (2) buffet food tables and (1) large salad/ dessert area. (Perfect size! Not too many and not too little.) They have your standard hot/sour soup or egg drop soup to choose from. (I have only tried the hot/sour soup, which I like so much that I will stop in and order this alone!) They have fried dumplings (okay), Crab Rangoon (Love it! They are wrapped a little different than usual, but I actually prefer it the way they do it.) I'm not going to go into all the dishes, but I will say that I always enjoy the beef Mongolian dish (it comes with mushrooms, but is missing the standard green onions.) Some things that could use improvement: The honey chicken, General Tso, and Sesame chicken (I think it depends on the cook) sometimes they get it right- other days they all taste the same. maybe too much sugar? HORRIBLE SERVICE... DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURAN!!!!!!!!!…read more While on a family vacation we (a family of 8) decided to visit this establishment... we called ahead to confirm what time they closed for the evening and was advised they were open until 8:30 pm. We then arrived around 7:15 pm. As we pulled up to the restaurant, a gentleman wearing an apron was standing outside the restaurant and the Open sign was turned on... as we were exiting out vehicle, then man quickly ran inside, took off the apron and turned the open sign off, and proceeded to inform us that they was now closed... The encounter certainly felt racially motivated and this was the absolute WORST customer service I've ever experienced in my life!!! Id recommend no one visit this restaurant ever again!!!
