Woke Me's Rosalie store used to deliver as far out as Red Hill, free of charge. Unfortunately this is no longer the case which is a pity, because it was fantastic getting this stuff served to us at home.
I've always ordered beef Hokkien Mee, which involves a garlic, ginger and oyster sauce and a few scattered vegetables alongside decent-sized strips of beef. If I could control the cooking process I'd put a bit more sauce in each noodle meal (the noodles can sometimes get dry); apart from that, it's quite a delicious meal at a low cost ($12.25 for a large).
I'm thinking of breaking my Hokkien Mee habit however after recently sampling my brother's Bali Sate Box. I tend to favour noodles over rice and only skim over rice selections at restaurants that offer better alternatives. However, I'm going to have to change my tune because the Sate Box was absolutely delicious. Definitely not lacking in terms of sauce, either. read more
