Both are fabulous, hardworking ladies. Somehow, we were the only two guests on the raft with Anela, so we felt we had personalized service and room to spread out. I believe there were 4 other rafts that morning with all of us cruising down the river together. The morning of the tour, we arrived a bit early. The ladies in the shop had us fill out the necessary waiver. There is a selection of merchandise available to purchase and a small restroom available to use in the shop. The van ride to the launch area was fairly short. The guides handed out life jackets to each guest and made sure the life jackets were nice and snug. No helmets or wetsuits were needed. Before getting on the rafts, Anela gave the morning safety speech of what to do if someone should fall out of the raft. Fortunately, no one did on our tour. The week prior to our tour, the area had received rain each day, so Anela mentioned that the water level in the river had come up. Our tour was a few hours long and a very relaxing float. There were a few slightly choppy areas on the river, but nothing rough at all. The scenery along the Rio Grande is beautiful. We had the option of jumping out of the raft at one location, and only one guide in the group decided to jump out. I personally wasn't sure how I'd get back in the raft, LOL. Our guide Anela was fantastic, super friendly and informative. The beauty of the mountains was incredible. We will book again next summer!

As soon as we arrived at the shore to depart the sky opened and poured down icy hail! We contemplated continuing on with our tour, as we booked for 8 people (prices were great, but 8 bookings adds up), however our guides were very supportive of the fact that the weather was well past inclement and offered to allow us to rebook the tour for later in the day. I am so grateful we had that opportunity! Our party included 2 adults and 6 children ranging from a toddler to teens and it was perfect for everyone. All of the staff were extremely friendly and we can tell the family that runs the operation takes pride in their work and business.

We expected a premium experience. Instead, it was one of the most disappointing hotel stays we've ever had. We reserved a king room, but when we arrived the lobby was closed, there were no staff on site, and there was no way to find our room. The town has virtually no cell service, so we had to drive to the next town just to call the hotel. After multiple calls, someone finally answered and casually told us they had given away our king room and only had a room with two queen beds available. There was no apology, no discount, and no effort to make it right. The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable, but that's where the positives ended. The thermostat was locked at 65°, there was no coffee, no bottled water, no body wash, and no hair dryer. The next morning was even worse. There was no continental breakfast, no coffee, no food, and not even a vending machine for a bottle of water. We were told breakfast had to be pre-ordered, something never mentioned during booking or in our confirmation. The customer service was the most frustrating part. When I politely asked for body wash and a hair dryer, the employee barely acknowledged me, offered no greeting, no apology, and no customer service whatsoever. She simply stared at me and said hair dryers had to be requested at check-in--which was impossible since there was no one working when we arrived. For $250 per night, we received: The wrong room with no compensation No staff available at check-in No internet or reliable cell service No coffee, breakfast, or basic amenities Exceptionally poor customer service We left feeling completely disappointed. We've stayed at budget hotels that provided better service and more amenities than this place. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Our 9-year-old son's first skiing experience was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the exceptional staff who provided not only quality instruction but also positive reinforcement throughout. Really nice twenty-something kids who could probably ski in their sleep did an outstanding job supporting every kid... including kids like ours who were strapping on skis for the first time in their lives. What truly set this ski school apart was the unwavering positivity - no negative words were uttered to any child in the classes. Even in a year with minimal natural snow, the instructional facilities at Taos Ski Valley were top-notch, well groomed and maintained. The progressive teaching approach ensured that our son, along with his fellow students, developed their skills steadily. By the end of the day, they were confidently riding up the Gondolina, pointing their skis to stop quickly, making strong turns, and enjoying a thrilling ski run down the hill. The natural beauty of Taos Ski Valley--despite the 9 degree temperature when we arrived in the morning!-- served as a breathtaking backdrop to our son's introduction to skiing, enhancing the overall experience. After just one lesson, our son is now completely hooked on the sport. We highly recommend Taos Ski Valley's Youth Ski School for its exceptional instructors, positive environment, world class facilities, and the perfect blend of instruction and enjoyment that turned our son into a skiing enthusiast after just one day. It was truly an amazing experience.

After purchasing a season pass reload for approximately $500, I discovered that I had lost my previous pass card. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that replacing the card would cost $23. Considering the significant cost of the season pass itself, I find this replacement fee excessive, especially since the actual RFID card likely costs only a small fraction of that amount. What concerned me even more was the way the situation was handled. The customer service manager was dismissive and stated that there was no one above him that I could speak with regarding my concerns. When I asked for his name, the call was abruptly disconnected. This interaction left me feeling disrespected as a loyal customer. I have misplaced my pass several times in the past, so I also asked whether there were any improved attachment options or solutions available to help customers avoid losing their passes. Rather than offering suggestions or assistance, I was simply told that no such options existed. The mountain itself is excellent, which is why I continue to purchase season passes. However, the quality of customer service does not reflect the quality of the resort. I hope management will consider reviewing both the replacement pass policy and the way customer concerns are handled, as loyal returning customers deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism.
