My wife and I considered no fewer than 30 photographers before we finally chose who we were going to work with. The decision was the most time-consuming choice we made - every photographer had a unique style, and prices varied wildly. We were meticulous and judicious in whittling down our list of options, enumerating the pros and cons of each. At the time, I took pride in our rigor but in retrospect I find it laughable. I knew from the moment we added Wolfcrest to our list that Sara and her work was the best. In fact, it stood out so superior to our other considerations that to even think of pursuing her as our wedding photographer felt like a guilty luxury. Sara and her team are phenomenal photographers. Sara is a true professional--she got my now-husband and me so comfortable taking photos! She was diligent and prompt in answering any and all questions I had during the wedding process. As for the the actual wedding day, Sara made everything flawless. She kept family portraits moving, which are so chaotic! I didn't have to worry about a single thing, and knew I was in good hands. The photos are absolutely stunning. I can't pick a favorite shot because they're all my favorite. Additionally, the turnaround time on getting actual photos was so quick! We loved working with Sara for our newborn photos, and highly highly recommend choosing her to capture your special moments. She came to our home and captured those early newborn moments so beautifully! She was so respectful with health sensitivities with such a young baby (mask wearing, etc) and addressed all of our questions quickly and responsively before our shoot. Sara spent time thoughtfully selecting the best places for our photos, considering lighting and background, and took photos in a variety of settings to give us a large selection. She even took several sweet shots of our dog that we absolutely love! We were thrilled when she sent us a handful of photos within a couple days of the shoot, and then shared the rest (more than we even expected!) very quickly thereafter. Buckle up! This is a long review and hopefully worth reading. We are so happy that we chose Sara to photograph our special day! This review is long overdue but better late than never! We recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary and browsed our wedding album to help remind us of how amazing and fun that day was for us. We had our wedding in October 2021 and coincidentally the same day as Sara and her husband's wedding anniversary. That enough just shows how dedicated she is to her passion of photography. She was so kind to us and genuinely seems like a nice person, which made our decision so easy. She was our first vendor we locked down and after our first phone call I knew that she'd be perfect for us. Posing in front of the camera is not something I'm necessarily comfortable doing, as most people may not be, but Sara made us feel so comfortable and guided us along the way. She made the photo session feel really natural and fun. She was organized and timely, which were very important to me. First, I want to start off by saying how helpful she was throughout the whole planning process as I had to plan our wedding from the West Coast. She answered all my questions regarding the schedule, timing, color schemes, and much more. She even went out of her way to tour the venue before our wedding day since she hadn't been there before. In addition, since I couldn't be there myself for the final planning arrangements, she helped me pick linen colors, gave wonderful suggestions of table arrangements, and offered her feedback at times it was difficult for me to visualize everything from afar. I trusted her input and went with all of her suggestions and I didn't regret it. On the day of the wedding, Sara and her assistant were timely. Everything went so smoothly and naturally. I never had to "find a photographer" because someone was always there to document. I've been in many wedding parties and found myself oftentimes having to "find the photographer" so that they can document moments that the bride wanted. Luckily for me, that never even came to mind on my wedding day. I loved that Sara and her assistant were able to capture the details of our wedding so beautifully, ranging form the beautiful flower arrangements to the details of the cake. She captured all the angles of my ceremony and reception, including the close-up photos that captured the lovely facial expressions of our guests to the zoomed out photos of all the guests dancing on the dance floor. Before the night ended, Sara kindly asked if there were any last shots that I wanted before they wrapped up, which I thought was great. By that time, we were all on the dance floor so I knew she got some good shots already. We received our wedding album within a month! I couldn't believe it. By the time we received our photos, we were still on a wedding high so it made that moment even more exciting. We were absolutely blown away by how much of the details that she documented (that we missed). As the bride, I wasn't able to see the final details of the wedding in every room before the guests arrived, and by having these photos I was really able to appreciate the work of the florist and vendors. Prior to the wedding, Sara and I discussed the type of "feel" we wanted the photos to capture, and I told her that I wanted to capture the essence of "living in the moment" so that when we went back to look at the photos, we could feel as if we are reliving that day. With that being said, there were a ton of candid photos that made me laugh, cry, and giggle. They were perfect! Her photos displayed a soft, romantic touch that were timeless. We feel so lucky to have had Sara at our wedding. I honestly couldn't imagine having to plan a wedding without her help. Working with Sara at Wolfcrest Photography was literally a dream come true. I had been following her work ever since she photographed my friend's wedding a few years ago, recommended her to another friend so that I could see her work in action again, and swore that one day we would have her shoot our own wedding. When we got engaged, the very next day I was working to put that dream into motion. Wolfcrest Photography was the first vendor that I reached out to, before I even had a venue picked, as we knew the date we wanted to get married right away. Sara was very responsive. Even though we didn't have a venue, so our date couldn't have been 100% guaranteed, she let us know that she was available and would be able to book us once we confirmed with the venue. She sent packaging details, etc., all within 24 hours of my first inquiry. Once we locked down a venue, I confirmed with her within the hour. Our package included engagement photos, so we then worked on setting those up. I don't know about all of you, but the first few minutes of posing in front of a camera in public is awkward. Thank goodness for Sara's great direction and good humor - all of the weirdness faded away fast, and we were romantically posing like pros in no time. Our engagement session near home was perfect and everything we wanted it to be. She did a great job of not only visually capturing the moments, but you can really feel the moments when you look at her photos. We had a lot of people mention that they could really feel the love and laughter when going through the photos and I love that. Throughout the whole planning process, she was always on time, responsive (no matter how far in advance of our wedding the email was sent), and very organized. She laid out the timeframe for our wedding and it flowed beautifully. The wedding day photos were as much of a hit as the engagement photos - through every photo I remember exactly how happy I felt in that moment, which is truly magical. The bridal party and my family all commented on what a great job she and Carley, her second shooter, did. The golden hour light was beautifully captured and takes my breath away every time I look at our photos! I would hire them all over again, if given the chance. I had the absolute best experience with Sara and Adam! I met them at a wedding expo and felt like I immediately hit it off with them and wanted to have them as my photographers. I had a skype consultation with them to help pick the package that I wanted to go with and they were excellent! My husband is not super great in front of the camera, so I was a little nervous for the engagement session but Sara made us feel so comfortable and we had so much fun, which showed in the pictures. Her pictures are seriously so fantastic, from the angles to the lighting to her eye for scenery. Everything was absolutely perfect. Since the engagement pictures turned out so well I was so excited for Sara to capture our wedding day! When the day came she was prompt and professional and she handled some of the family drama with ease, which I'm sure is one of the harder parts of her job.
