This park is absolutely beautiful! There are many things to do as well such as swings, jungle gym for kids, hockey rink, and basketball court. There is also a beautiful trail for walking. My favorite part is the dog park. Many people bring their dogs here to run around and play. The park also has a beach area which is nice. This park is very peaceful and clean as well. There's also a huge grass area where you can fly kites, have a picnic, etc. Tons of parking and also bathrooms are available!!! read more

It was a very beautiful and serene place to visit. I got to explore the small hiking trails, and the ponds were mesmering to look. The view of the beach was very nice. It was clean and you saw a lot of people fishing. While exploring, I got to see a groundhog and a family of raccoons. I really enjoyed exploring the park. read more

Really never been to Wolfe's Pond before until recently when The City of New York was running free covid tests in its parking lot. Having to visit more than once each time I couldn't help but notice how well kept this city park is. No visible trash and the ground kept nicely. Although the park doesn't seem massive there is a shorefront with some wooded areas. The park also has plenty of parking as well as public bathrooms. Wolfe's pond Looks like a nice park and I would like to come here again under better circumstances. read more

Great spot to watch birds. There are so many shorebirds, even off-season. Something to watch out for that's not about the park and more about the visitors-- watch out for irresponsible dog owners. I saw a dog attack a puppy in the dog park here. read more

This was my 1st time coming to this park and it is absolutely beautiful. My colleague was having a birthday barbecue here today. Although it was very cold today it is still a beautiful place to have an outside event or barbecue. The water is beautiful which is surrounded by greenery and tall trees. It was a very clean park that also had clean with clean bathrooms all over. The park consisted of benches and tables. The only thing I thought they could have more of are the tables and chairs. You probably have to get there very early if you want that type of set up. I also loved the fact that parking was not a problem. The park had a decent large size parking lot which was a plus for me. They accommodated the handicapped vehicles and had space for a lot more cars. I'm sure on a summer hot day it is beyond beautiful. I will definitely be back. read more

I really love this park. I've taken my dogs there 3x in the past week and am planning on bringing them back after I get out of work today. Trying to take advantage of it while we still have beautiful weather! I have not even gone anywhere else other than the big open area; I don't even know what the enclosed dog area looks like (truthfully i'm not sure where it's located) but just that one spot has kept us coming back. Maybe later we will "explore" a little more. It is beautiful, serene, and such a wholesome scene of people strolling with their dogs, a group of young children playing soccer, people flying kites, having picnics, etc. It is what the world is lacking! read more

Pretty nice, low key park/beach on Staten Island. It was not swamped with people on a Saturday in August. Lots of people at the beach and lots of people barbecuing (no gas grills permitted). They also have some biking/walking trails in the woods. - Beach - Pond - Woods - Skate rink (kids were playing roller hockey) - Decent bathrooms - Space to have family gatherings and barbecues I would come back to this park. There were plenty of people, yet it was not over crowded. Plenty of space to play around and some great views of the ocean. read more

We went there on a gorgeous late October Saturday and had it all to ourselves. The foliage was at its peak, and the colors of the leaves - especially reflected in the water - were beautiful! It's a very tranquil spot (but as someone else mentioned, there was some trash [in the water] - and that was very disappointing, as it somewhat ruined the pristine nature). read more

Beautiful beach and Oceanside Dog Park on the Atlantic Ocean off of Hylan Boulevard. It truly is the gem of Staten Island. Beaches that are cleaned off are beautiful . When they aren't there is some garbage tossed from boats and ships, including dead fish gutted by fisherman. We still think it is a nice change of pace, and worth the drive. read more

This is one of the better SI parks in my opinion. Like anywhere else on the island, however, litter has become a real problem and tends to annoy me during our visits - so we try to bring a bag for stray garbage. There are some real nice fishing spots where you can catch crappies, bass, catfish, and the occasional turtle. If you plan on picnicking on the weekends in the summer, either get there early and lay claim to a spot or wait until close to sunset when the masses begin to depart. read more

I used to love going to Wolfe's Pond Park when I was a kid because just the idea of a park was exciting. I used to play tennis with my best friend here, basketball with my dad, and softball for my church. All good memories. They've also added several new trails for walking and biking which is pretty nice. That being said, stay off the "beach." It's a shame that no tax dollars go to the upkeep of the sand and water since it smells like death and is just grimy in general. I walked along the sand once to Nicolosi Drive (where all the huge houses are) and saw many a fish skeleton on the way- yuck! read more

Love this place. It's my go to beach. Super quiet and clean. It's small but has the cleanest beach and water. Rest rooms close by. No snack stand but who needs that. Large grassy fields for bqqs. read more

This was always my favorite park on Staten Island growing up. Between cross country practices and leisure sports activity, a lot of time was spent in this place. The pond has undergone some changes since Hurricane Sandy and to me just doesn't seem the same still. The barrier between the ocean and pond has broken before and I'm guessing it's still a bit on the recovery process The park features a vast field, basketball, tennis courts, a roller hockey rink, several swings and kids playground equipment, as well as grills for outdoor BBQ use. If you're into running, you can circle the entire park on a trail that goes around the park, into the woods a bit (near the dog park) and back around towards the parking lot. The beach area is much cleaner than I remember and well maintained. I've never been one to go swimming there, but if it's your thing go for it, just hope you don't turn into swamp thing on the way out On the south shore, this is the park to go to for everything. read more

One of Staten Island's largest parks, wears many different hats.It has a beautiful beach, a wildlife and plant preserve. It is a recreational area with plenty of space to run, jump, and climb. They also have a kiddie area with swings,monley bars and spriklers. They have a bike trail,walking path,tennis and basket ball courts. They also have a full hockey rink with two goal whic is pretty awesome. You can have birthday parties and bbq is certain areas. Parking can be scarce in the summer time,but overall i love to come here and just walk,run,ride my bike and relax. read more

Has anyone been to Wolfs Pond Park in the past two years, if not you're in for a treat. The opened up a whole other side, it's twice as big, with running paths, tennis/basketball/hockey courts and the beach is so nice, clean sand....the pond area is still nice with the picnic tables for barbecue's and plenty of parking too. read more

Although it is a bit smaller than other parks, I like it. It's never too crowded when I go. There is a dog park mixed in for all pet lovers and it's just a short walk onto the beach that is over there. You can still see some damage from Hurricane Sandy, with some parts still being closed off. The trails are nice to walk or bike and there are tennis and basketball courts. I like it because it's right by the water and you can walk your way onto quiet blocks with beautiful homes. read more

This review is only for the park and trails. I haven't been here since before sandy, and it's still looks like there is damage. A portion of the walking trails are completely covered with grass, mud, and water. Part of the park that is closest to the entrance you can't even use it. However the dog park is really nice and pretty big. I've never brought my dogs here, but I think I will now. The bicycle trails were also a little messed up, there were a lot of down trees. I had to keep getting off my bike just to climb over a knocked down tree. There is a skating ring also for roller hockey. read more

There was a horrible stench here one sunny day last autumn. Millions of dead mussels lay strewn at the shoreline. Is it a normal cycle of life or is it death caused by some kind of recent pollution? The water didn't look too good but I saw a couple of fishers and hardcore water-lovers in it. Hey, it's Staten Island, not a tropical island: Folks gotta work with what they got. I would definitely visit this place again though some of the trail sections were muddy at the time. The mud made the small pond basically unreachable without rain-boots. Views by the hilly field were serene with butterflies too. read more

This park combines history (The historical monument) with nature, all the trees, grass, benches, and then a beautiful waterfront area. There are two dog runs (enclosed places) for dogs, larger and small. The park looks clean and is pleasant. Nice place for photographs or small picnics. read more
