Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.

This is really a 4.5-star review but since I gave 4 stars for the previous job I think it makes…read moresense to round up to 5 this time. I hired Franca this fall to paint the exterior of my house, and remove a significant amount of rotted trim and replace it with PVC. I was very pleasantly surprised by how quickly they were able to get me on their schedule, and they wrapped up the whole project in a little over a week. They were conscientious about removing rotted trim (including from areas I couldn't see well from the ground and so didn't point out to them), the house looks great, and the price was very competitive. Steve, who set up the contract, was very responsive throughout; the crew were professional, careful about cleanup, and showed up on time. The only flaws were (1) initially they replaced some of the trim with softwood instead of PVC, but when I noticed it and asked them to fix it, and contacted Steve to confirm, they did fix it (and didn't charge me for the fix), (2) they were a bit aggressive about chopping limbs off some of my small trees to get the ladders into place - that said, this may have been unavoidable (the yard is small and quite densely planted).

Had my deck replaced by Franca Services in the fall of 2023. Had them use Trex which is not…read moresupposed to split, crack or warp. Franca files the warranty with Trex which is a 35 year warranty. We have several cracks and splits in the railings. Tried contacting Franca Services since May 2025 to see about the warranty and get the railings replaced. They do not return my phones calls and filed a complaint with the better business bureau, Franca did not reply to the BBB. Got a text from someone at Franca asked me to text them photos and they would get back to me. Needless to say 4 months later still have not gotten my railings replaced. Now filing a complaint with the Attorney general office.

When they were 1 hour late, I contacted them to find out if they were still coming. They never responded. The next day, I emailed them to find out what happened. They never responded. To this day, they have not replied to any of my correspondence. The most unprofessional business i have ever dealt with. They do not care about their customers.
